Meet Zapflash! My Simpsons Hit and Run-inspired OC!

Zapflash is a Wasp Camera variant from The Simpsons: Hit and Run. More specifically, Zapflash is an early prototype of the Wasp Cameras built by Kang and Kodos. Before making their surveillance cameras look more threatening, Kang and Kodos opted to make cameras that appeared more humanoid. Zapflash was spawned from this concept, only for the two aliens to later realize how terrible this idea was...

Zapflash is a Wasp Camera who comes off as incredibly obnoxious. She loves yapping about whatever she finds and records while roaming Springfield. Zapflash is a very clingily individual, often getting attached to specific people she's really interested in observing. Despite how rash wasps are in real life, Zapflash is the opposite of that. Even though she is very annoying and clingy, she is one of the nicest beings you'll ever cross. She's sweet, bubbly, and shows interest in what others are doing, unlike the behavior of real wasps.

Zapflash's name is a mix of two words: 'Zap' comes from her ability to fire blasts of lightning at unsuspecting Springfieldians. And 'flash' is referring to the camera flash built into her eyes. When not pestering the citizens of Springfield, Zapflash finds herself bothering who two alien creators. Kang finds Zapflash most obnoxious, whereas Kodos isn't too bothered by the robot's behavior, as she put more work into creating Zapflash. Because Kang disliked how chatty Zapflash is, the two aliens decided to make the Wasp Cameras mute (aside from their constant buzzing).

Zapflash is a mixed bag when it comes to defining her personality and overall character. Depending on who you are, she'll either be the most delightful soul you cross, or the most annoying person you've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
