Holy shit, an update on the mahous

So here’s Lani and Beira!

Some TL;DR world building: island of human like people that still know of the toa legends

Lani is 19, a kohli champ at her university, and her grandmother is the Turaga of their community and still uses treespeak/chutespeak. Lani still slips into it out of habit. Her transformation items, named Toa jewelry, are the three green studs in her ear.

Beira is 22, poised, and the daughter of a diplomat in the ice district.

She’s also a huge TTRPG nerd.

Probably autistic, has a flair for the dramatics, but overall a sweet girl.

Rereading the Mask of Light novelization is fun. You have Jaller, Captain of the Guard, a very serious job he is very serious about, and Takua, whose career involves wandering an island full of carnivores and also satan. Individually they are smart people.

But the second they’re together, they are an absolute meme. It’s like what would happen if Captain America was handcuffed to an ADHD Indiana Jones.
