Dear Matt Smith,

So someone actually mentioned this blog to you and recorded the conversation and put it on YouTube. I'd say this was bound to happen eventually but that's totally ridiculous because why would this ever happen, this is absurd. 

I feel the need to mention that, in my everyday existence, I'm a perfectly sane and rational human being. I study and I go outside and I play Quidditch and I write things. This blog is just a tiny part of my life. I never set out to be the online authority on your sock collection, I really didn't. I never thought people would follow this blog.

Having said all that, your socks do make me happy. A new pair of socks is a little thing which makes me smile even on rubbish days. The idea that this blog makes other people smile is the reason I keep doing it.

So...thank you. For wearing ridiculous socks and for tolerating the sometimes surreal things that fandom makes us do.

I really hope you're not actually reading this. That would be weird.
