Chaos Emerald Physics Inquiry/Operational Mechanism Postulation

Noting the laws of conservation of energy and thermodynamics are absolute, it would be reasonable to assume that the Chaos Emeralds must rely upon an external source of energy to alter reality related to the user's intent. I can only presume this source is a linked via wormhole that follows the position of the emeralds relative to their location in the cosmos, hence any limitations concerning the speed of light are respected since the energy source is connected to the conduits (Chaos Emeralds) at all times. Noting their ability to manipulate space time at a fundamental level, this suggests Chaos Emeralds function as a means of directly interfacing and interacting with the Higgs Boson field, though the mechanism is unknown.

While numerous sources of energy fit the profile, blackholes seem to be the ideal means since these are the densest form of energy in the cosmos, and with anti-matter/matter annihilation, can produce pure energy at a perfect conversion rate.

If the idea of wormhole energy linkage is extended to the whole cosmos, than this would means Chaos Emeralds could borrow energy from any source available.

Of course, doing so would incur that any event using chaos emeralds and to a lesser degree chaos emeralds vastly increases the localized entropy of the cosmos, greatly expending the finite exergy the universe can offer.
