@dotdotstudio produced, directed and built "The Buried Village of Te Wairoa," a Multi-user Virtual Reality Museum Installation. This virtual reality experience was created in collaboration with the Te Wairoa Museum and takes its audience back in time to witness the beauty of the Eighth Wonder of the World, pools of silica named the Pink and White Terraces and experience the loss in 1886 when neighbouring Mount Tarawera erupted, burying the terraces and the community that had formed around it. “Believe”, @emilianoponzi's immersive art installation depicting a diorama of a forest with a young girl and several fireflies. At the very beginning the room is dark but after a certain time we can see a light coming from the background and many fireflies turning on morphing the atmosphere into a magical environment. The concept behind the installation aims to convey the many dreams and possibilities we all have, the people we love, the expectations of the future. The artwork wants to emphasize the believe that marvel is all around us even if we are not always able to see it. Presented at the The Second OPENFILE Festival of Contemporary Visual Culture at the K11 Museum in Shanghai. With contributions from 36 international and Chinese artists across multiple disciplines, OPENFILE presented a wide-ranging selection of creative expressions.
