Can you try to explain where the (presumably) unironic MDP fandom came from? I thought it was, like, youtube brain rot. I’m genuinely curious as to what people see in it.

honestly not sure i think its because the characters are genuinely likeable and max design pro started actually developing the characters into having actual personality and backstory which is way above what most “brainrot content farm” channels do. and also max seems to genuinely care for the fandom, as seen with the fanart in his videos. i think it just started as an ironic enjoyment since it was “cringe” but i think it’s popularity really kicked off when twiddlefinger came out, eventually making way for max to even make twiddlefinger canon.
