7 Steps  to Attach a Trailer to Your Mazda BT-50
When many people look for a Mazda BT-50 in Perth, they are purely focused on the raw specs and how much the vehicle can carry. However, many small business owners use the BT-50 with a trailer to increase their carrying capacity without needing to invest in a larger and more expensive load hauler. Using a trailer with a ute is a fantastic option to make your business more flexible, but care needs to be taken to avoid a potential disaster. If the trailer isn’t connected correctly, it will disconnect, and this is the last thing that you need. In this article, we will look at seven easy to follow steps to connect a trailer to your Mazda BT-50 ute.
1. Remove the Safety Pin
Start by removing the safety pin located at the base of the trailer handle, and once it’s fully removed, you can lift up the handle. Keep the safety pin somewhere nearby as you will need it during step 4.
2. Line Up the Trailer
If you need to you can jack the trailer up until you have sufficient clearance between the BT-50s towball and the trailer. It’s important to get the trailer as close to the Mazda BT-50 as possible at this stage because it will make the rest of the process go far easier.
3. Locating the Trailer on the Towball
Now that you have the trailer in position, it’s time to get the trailer located on the towball. Gently lift up the trailer, shimmy it into position and lower it carefully onto the towball and it should slide into place easily.
4. Secure the Trailer
It’s vitally important to ensure that the trailer is securely locked into position on the towball. Release the trailer handle, get the safety pin, and secure it back into the correct location on the trailer handle.
5. Don’t Forget the Safety Chain
The trailer safety chain needs to be connected to your Mazda BT-50 to prevent the trailer from nose diving when you’re in motion. The should be sufficient slack in the chain to allow the ute and trailer to move freely, but it shouldn’t drag on the road. If there are tow safety chains, you can cross them over before you connect the trailer to your ute and this will prevent the trailer from dragging on the road if it becomes disconnected.
6. Crank up the Trailer Wheel
Now the weight of the trailer is on the ute tow ball you can retract the trailer wheel. Crank the wheel until it starts to clear the road surface and continue until you cannot crank any further and you hear it click into place.
7. Final Checks
Connect up the lights and brakes with the supplied cables and then thoroughly test every aspect of the rig before you venture out onto the open road.
If you’re interested in a Mazda BT-50 for sale in Perth, get in touch with Mandurah Mazda for more information today.

A Quick Comparison: Mazda CX-9 v Toyota Kluger
The Mazda CX-9 price offers a fantastic value proposition, and the Australian driving public seems to agree. The Mazda CX-9 has been at the top of the seven seater SUV segment for a long time despite fierce competition. One of the more recent contenders is the new Toyota Kluger, and in this article, we will take a look at how they compare.
At a Glance
Both the Mazda CX-9 and the Toyota Kluger are seven seater SUVs that are urban friendly family haulers with off road capability for weekend trips and adventures. This pair of SUVs is a prime example of the Australian love affair with these types of vehicles that are so popular these days. In this particular comparison, we will be looking at comparative mid grade models, the Mazda CX-9 Touring and the Toyota Kluger GXL.
Mazda CX-9 Touring
The Mazda CX-9 Touring is the cheaper of the two vehicles, and yet it’s exceptionally well equipped for the price. At this grade there is plenty of equipment fitted as standard, such as keyless entry and start, blind spot monitoring, forward and reverse autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, six airbags, distance keeping cruise control (with stop/go functionality), lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors and 18” alloy wheels.
Toyota Kluger GXL
This is at least $5,000 more expensive depending on where you purchase the vehicle. It has a decent level of equipment fitted as standard, such as keyless entry and starting, distance keeping cruise control (without stop/go functionality), rear parking sensors, forward (no rear) autonomous emergency braking, seven airbags, rear (no front) parking sensors, and 18” alloy wheels. As you can see the equipment does have some limitations compared to the Mazda CX-9 Touring.
Comparing Drivetrains
A seven seater SUV needs a powerful and efficient drivetrain to handle various terrain and the urban jungle. Toyota has gone with a more traditional V6 power plant, but Mazda has opted for a turbocharged four cylinder engine. Both engines are petrol; if you want a diesel variant, then you will need to look elsewhere.
The Mazda 2.5L turbocharged engine produces 170 kW of power and 420 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a six speed automatic gearbox.
The Toyota 3.6L V6 generates 218 kW of power and 350 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an eight speed automatic gearbox.

Why the Mazda 3 hatch should be your next car
The Mazda 3 is one of the most popular small cars in the country, excelling in both safety aspects and driveability – the two most important factors to consider when buying any car. But what is it about the Mazda 3 that makes it so special?
One of the safest cars in its class
Driver and passenger safety is always at the forefront of Mazda's mind when it comes to designing a new car. Mazda's entire range is now equipped with revolutionary i-ACTIVSENSE safety technology, and the new Mazda 3 is no exception.
“The updated i-ACTIVSENSE safety technology inclusions make Mazda3 one of the safest cars in its class, while the enhanced drive and handling characteristics – something that Mazda is renowned for – are sure to impress all that drive it.”
Alastair Doak - Mazda Australia marketing director
Few other small cars at this level have such a remarkable list of safety features compared to the new Mazda 3. Although you currently need to go with the top level variants for the fully encompassing safety suite, many of these additions will likely trickle down into the lower grades in the Mazda 3 range in time. Currently, all Mazda 3 models now include 'Smart City Brake Support' (SCBS), Mazda's low-speed forward autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system that comes equipped with pedestrian protection and operates between 4-80km/h. Stability control, anti-lock brakes to prevent wheel lock up and consequent sliding, and traction control to optimise grip and stability also now come as standard across all grades. Higher level grades also offer additional safety features including a reversing camera, Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, SCBS-Reverse, Driver Attention Alert, Traffic Sign Recognition , Forward Obstruction Warning, Lane-Departure Warning, Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) and Adaptive LED headlights.
An enjoyable driving experience
If you're after a sporty and responsive driving feel for a seamless driving experience, then the new Mazda 3 is the one for you. Perfectly balanced with firm, accurate steering and excellent cornering (in sport mode it will pick a lower gear under brakes to really step up its cornering prowess) the Mazda 3 continues to be one of the most enjoyable small cars to drive. Weave round tight corners and dance along winding roads with ease thanks to the addition of Mazda's G Vectoring Technology which allows the Mazda 3 to harness all of its available power for a confident drive with advanced stability control.

A 2019 CX-3 Touring Review: Mazda Dealers Perth Advice
When they look for a Mazda for sale, Perth drivers have an extensive stable of vehicles to choose from. Your local Mazda dealership will soon have the 2019 CX-3 Touring in stock. This Mazda CX-3 package adds some very nice extras for the modest premium paid, and it's well worth a look if you're already considering a CX-3 as your next purchase. Let's take a closer look at the Mazda CX-3 Touring and see what it has to offer.
At a Glance
The Mazda CX-3 Touring has the same premium build quality found on the impressive base model. The cabin has a very upmarket feel, and the engine performs better than you might expect at this generous price point. The engine generates 110 kW of power, the CO2 emissions are 146g, and the fuel economy is 6.3L/100km combined. The CX-3 Touring is packed with technology; it has plenty of safety kit and a 5 star ANCAP safety rating. Some drivers may not like the tighter spaces on the back seat, and the 2.0L engine can be a little noisy at high revs. Sadly, there is still no support in place for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay users.
The 2019 Mazda CX-3 Touring
Essentially, what we have here is a new and updated CX-3, which is more of an upgrade than a fresh release. This is designed to keep the CX-3 competitive in a crossover market that is now full of competitors. In fact, the crossover segment is currently the fastest growing part of the entire Australian car sales market. The Mazda CX-3 is a big player; this model is consistently one of the top three crossover sellers in this relatively new small SUV class of car. So, it's essential that Mazda get this right, the youth orientated aesthetic appeal and equipment levels have to deliver.
For this 2019 refresh, Mazda has adding a host of new features, such as tweaks for the petrol and turbo diesel powertrains, an updated interior, improved trim levels, a new grille insert and a revised LED tail light for better specified models
The Mazda CX-3 Touring reviewed here has a 2.0L petrol engine and front wheel drive. The engine is paired with a six speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment across the range includes a 7" MZD Connect infotainment system, satellite navigation, auto folding heated wing mirrors, a DAB+ digital radio, a six speaker audio system, cruise control, Bluetooth and audio streaming, keyless entry and push button starting.
The only after cost option available is a choice of two special paint types, and if you want more, you will need to splurge on a better specified model. A better specified variant would have features, such as front and rear LED lights, a heads up display system, Maztex or cloth upholstery and 18" alloy wheels.
If they are looking for local Mazda dealers, Perth based drivers should visit Mandurah Mazda to arrange a no obligation test drive today.

Use Genuine Mazda Spare Parts - Perth Expert Advice
Mazda genuine parts are essential to ensure that your car is kept to the specifications of the manufacturer. One area that is often overlooked by many car care articles is the topic of corrosion and rust. Any corroded body parts can be replaced with Mazda panels, but it may not be necessary in many cases. If rust is detected early, it can be dealt with effectively and prevented from recurring.
Detecting the Rust
The first thing that you will need to do is find out if there is a rust problem. The rust will develop underneath the surface paint, and so it will be hidden from a casual glance. The most obvious indicator will be the formation of tiny bubbles on the surface of the paint. If rust is present, it will be necessary to discover how widespread it is before taking action. The rust could be confined to a small area, or it may have spread across an entire panel. The rust will start to develop when dirt is trapped in an area, and then moisture is also trapped there. Over time the moisture will eat away at the metal, and this is why it is vital to thoroughly clean around areas, such as the fuel filler cap, behind bumpers, inside wheel arches, and inside the boot area. When corrosion is involved prevention is always better than a cure.
Removing Rust from Metal Surfaces
The first step is to remove the paint so that the raw metal is exposed for examination. Corroded metal will be pitted in early stages and may be fully eaten away in extreme cases. All of the rust will need to be thoroughly cleaned away, or it will inevitably grow back again. Sandpaper and a good rust removal product will be needed to do a comprehensive job. This should be carried out in an area with good ventilation to avoid breathing in hazardous fumes.
Fixing Rust Spots
Smaller rust repairs are relatively simple, once the area is clean brush on a rust treatment product that will eat away at the oxidisation. This will stop to chemical corrosion process cold, and then a filler can be applied. The filler will dry after a couple of hours and is should then be sanded with a 400 grit sandpaper. The edges should be feathers to blend the surface to the surrounding area. A spray primes should then be applied in light dusty strokes until the area is adequately covered. Then sand again and follow with two light coats of the appropriate paint applied in fluid side strokes to prevent running.
When we service your vehicle, we only ever use Mazda car parts or officially designated alternatives. Our team is standing by to book a service for you today, and they will be happy to answer any further questions that you may have.
If they are looking for Mazda spare parts , Perth based drivers should contact us here at Mandurah Mazda. We supply a wide selection genuine Mazda replacement parts to use on your car.

3 Tyre Safety Tips from Mazda Dealers: Perth Expert Advice
When you visit your Mazda dealership, it’s easy to notice that all of the models are shod with good quality tyres. The condition of your tyres is vital to keep you safe on the road by providing an adequate amount of grip. The tyre tread is the only point of contact with the road surface, and in wetter conditions, it will displace water away from the contact point. Some drivers neglect their tyres, this is an unfortunate habit that will compromise safety, and the good news is that it’s an easy habit to change. In this article, we will take a closer look at three expert tyre safety tips that you can follow.
1. Get Familiar with Your Tyres
Every modern car sold here in Australia has a tyre placard displayed in the cabin. This is usually located in the passenger door opening or inside the glovebox. This placard will show you in detail the correct tyre pressures for tyres fitted to your car. Even more details can be found inside your owner’s manual for those looking for more comprehensive information. Make sure that you also know what type of spare tyre you have or if you have some type of tyre inflation kit instead. This information is vital, the tyres must be kept at the correct pressure to keep you safe, and this will also make your car more fuel efficient saving you money at the pump.
2. Get Into the Habit of Making Regular Tyre Checks
The very best time to check your tyre pressures is when you call into refuel your car. If you can’t manage that, every other time will probably be fine and you can use the air pressure gauge provided. If you want more accurate results, you can purchase your own tyre gauge and keep it in your car with your basic toolkit. This is also a great time to examine the surface of your tyres; the tread depth should be at least 1.6mm deep to be road legal. You may find that the tyre wear is uneven, front wheel drive models have more wear on the front tyres and the opposite is also true.
3. Knowing How to Change a Flat Tyre is a Useful Skill
Of course, many drivers have extensive roadside assistance cover, and this is an excellent strategy. However, we live in a big country, and the assistance may be some distance away. This can result in a lengthy wait and to be honest this isn’t really necessary in most cases. In fact, changing a flat tyre is pretty simple to do, and it will get you back on the road in less than 15 minutes if you’re efficient. There are many tutorials available, and there is plenty of information in the owner’s manual. If you want to be prepared, it’s a good idea to practice at home, and then you will know what to do on the road. If you replace the flat tyre with a space saver, use it to get to the nearest tyre centre where you can get a proper repair or replacement.

A Mazda Dealers Review: The 2018 Mazda BT-50 GT Dual Cab
When they look at their local Mazda dealers, Perth based drivers will notice that SUVs and crossover vehicles are extremely popular. This has been true for a few years now, and these types of cars have driven Australian car sales to new heights. However, we are now starting to see a new trend, high spec dual cab Utes that can be used for heavy duty work during the week and as a family friendly SUV alternative at the weekend. One of the best examples of this is the Mazda BT-50 GT Dual Cab, let’s take a closer look at what this latest version has to offer.
A Brief Overview
The Mazda BT-50 GT Dual Cab is more basic than many SUVs on the market, but it has plenty of features to satisfy most family needs. There is plenty of torque available to pull a work trailer during the week and a boat trailer or caravan at the weekend. The BT-50 GT now has longer distance service intervals for added convenience. Some people, may not like the truck like looks and the infotainment system can be fiddly to use until you get used to it.
The 2018 Mazda BT-50 GT Dual Cab
Has a few new cosmetic features to freshen up the looks, chief amongst these is a new front bumper and grille insert to soften the appearance a little. Of course, there is a wide range of aftermarket bull bars available for those drivers that want to add bulk to the front end. Mazda has also added Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity to their feature set. There is an 8” infotainment screen that has a DAB+ digital radio and Satellite Navigation functionality. There is plenty of kit featured as standard, such as a powered driving seat, leather seating trim, cruise control, dual zone climate control, dusk sensing headlights and 17” alloy wheels.
Under the Bonnet
The Mazda BT-50 GT Dual Cab has a five cylinder turbo diesel powerplant that generates 147 kW of power and 470 Nm of torque in the 1750–2500 rpm range. This engine is paired with a six speed automatic or manual transmission. The 4x4 system is electronically engaged, it has a low range and locking rear differential giving it all the grunt needed for off road driving. The unladen ground clearance is 232mm, but it should be noted that the new front bumper is 2mm lower than the outgoing model. Despite the power on offer, the noise levels and refinement are comparable to the competition. However, if you really stomp down you will get a satisfying roar that is lacking amongst the Mazda BT-50 GT Dual Cab rivals.

The New MX-5 Carbon Hardtop Revealed: Mazda Dealers Perth News
When they visit their Mazda dealership, Perth based motorists will see plenty of excellent car available for sale and the MX-5 has always been a firm favourite. The MX-5 has been a consistently popular roadster for decades, and Mazda have stuck to this tried and true formula for success. Now Mazda has revealed a new MX-5 with a removable carbon fibre hardtop, let’s take a closer look at what we know.
The Tokyo Reveal
This Mazda MX-5 variant was revealed at the recent Tokyo Auto Salon show. This is an extremely attractive variant with a removable car fibre hardtop roof. Another release for this show was a Mazda 3 hatch that was fitted with a brand new factory fitted body kit. Both cars created quite a stir, but at this moment we have no idea if this Mazda MX-5 will make it into full production in Japan or anywhere else for that matter.
The Mazda MX-5
Mazda technically offers a pair of hardtop variants already for their MX-5 lineup. The first of these is the MX-5 RF and the second is an aftermarket car that’s designed for racing. However, this new carbon fibre hardtop takes an entirely different approach. The shape of this new car is more akin to that of the existing folding top, and there is no RF buttress that creates that distinctive smooth and more conventional roofline. This shape creates a look that’s at odds with the racing top, and it leaves vital space to install a roll cage for petrolheads that want to participate in motor sporting events.
A Potential Release?
As we stated above, there is no definitive news at the moment about a full production for the MX-5 carbon fibre hardtop. This is probably because of the higher production costs that would be incurred by producing carbon fibre parts and components. Also, we already have the MX-5 RF, and this would mean that we shouldn’t expect this new MX-5 at a dealer any time soon.
However, this situation is not unprecedented. Fiat has a very similar situation with their 124 GT model. This variant has a roof that can be easily removed in a few simple steps, but then it has to be stored at home. So, it’s essential that the driver carefully checks the weather before setting off.
The Mazda 3 Hatch
The Mazda 3 hatchback that we also saw at the Mazda Tokyo Auto Salon had a very interesting factory body kit installed. The styling is subtle; this car has a black front lip, an extended rear spoiler and matching black side skirts. These parts look quite similar to the ones that are already found on the current Mazda 3. So, unlike the MX-5, the Mazda 3 body kit would be far more simple to implement into a full production run. A word on an Australian release for the Mazda 3 is incoming as we get closer to a local launch.

Mazda Dealers Perth News: 2019 Mazda 3 Australian Release Date Revealed
When they visit their local Mazda dealership, Perth drivers will notice that the models are at the cutting edge of car design. Mazda Australia has been very successful here in recent years, but they are certainly not resting on their laurels. The Australian release date for the overhauled 2019 Mazda 3 has been set for mid next year. We’ve also learned some tantalizing details about what this release has to offer. Let’s take a closer look at what we know so far. A Brief Overview Both the Mazda 3 sedan and hatchback will be debuting a new design, a SkyActiv-X powertrain and plenty of new technology. The reveal came during the LA Motor Show, and this reveals a brand new era for the Japanese car manufacturer. The four door sedan and five door hatch are still offered, but now they will have quite distinct personalities to differentiate them further. For the sake of brevity, Mazda has described the sedan as “elegant” and the hatch as “emotive.” The “Kodo” Design Language The design ethos is part of a Mazda evolution that is known as the “Kodo” design language. The sedan has taken many of its styling cues from the stunning Vision Coupe concept, and the hatchback is instead drawing a great deal of inspiration from the Kai concept. We saw both of these inspirational concept cars at last years Tokyo Motor Show. Both of these variants have new circular LED lighting designs for the front and rear. They both have a clean and minimalist appeal that is sure to delight design purists. Mazda 3 Details In the cabin, this latest 3 will derive most of its design inspiration from the aforementioned Kai concept. The dashboard layout is driver focused with a large 8.8” display that shows off the latest MZD Connect infotainment system nicely. The centre console has been totally revised, and there is an extra 10 mm of telescopic adjustment available for the steering wheel. The front seat now has a cushion tilt adjustment feature fitted as standard across the entire range. Both the manual and automatic gear shifts have been repositioned to a more forward location to make them easier to use. There are three colourways available; they are Black, Greige (a mixture of black and beige) and Burgundy (this is exclusive to the hatchback version). Driver Assistance Systems We have seen many car manufacturers come on in leaps and bounds in this area in recent years and Mazda is no exception. The new Mazda 3 will have some new and updated driver assistance systems on board, such as front cross traffic alert, a driver monitoring system for fatigue and a brand new cruising and traffic support system. This last feature is extremely interesting; essentially it’s a semi autonomous pilot for the Mazda 3 when it’s in a traffic jam, it will operate the steering, accelerator and brake pedal to control the vehicle at lower speeds. If they are looking for reputable local Mazda dealers Perth based drivers should contact Mandurah Mazda.

A Brief 2018 Mazda 2 GT Review
When they are looking at a Mazda 2 for sale, some drivers may avoid the GT variant automatically. After all, this is a small car and how could it possibly classed as a grand tourer? This is a fair point, but if you want an enhanced Mazda 2 driving experience, then the GT version could well be the right car to meet your needs.
At a Glance
The Mazda 2 GT tested here is the automatic version, and it’s the most premium version of this popular smaller car. The interior is smart, and the features are bang up to date. This car is fun to drive; the handling is precise and agile. The engine is extremely responsive and well matched to the automatic gearbox. Metallic paint is standard, there is a five year warranty and a 5 star ANCAP safety rating. Some drivers may be put off by the limited rear, and the tyre noise could be slightly less intrusive.
The Mazda 2 GT Specifications
This sits above the Mazda 2 Genki in the range, and the GT variant is designed to provide a more premium experience. However, the equipment is comparable to the Genki with features, such as: LED headlights and foglights, a HUD, satellite navigation, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, daytime running lights, rain sensing wipers, AEB (front and rear), a 7” MZD infotainment screen and 16” alloy wheels.
Where the GT does diverge is in some of the extra touches, the metallic paint included as standard is a very option in any car segment. In fact, only the Soul Red paints costs an additional $300, and every other colour is included in the list price. Also, the GT has an upgraded interior with black cloth upholstery and two tone seats. This soft touch material can also be found draped across the centre console, front door armrests, and the passenger side dashboard. The circular vents are surrounded with attractive red rings, and there are leather covers for the gear lever, steering wheel, and handbrake lever. All in all, this is a beautiful interior that compares favourably with the competition.
The Mazda MZD Connect System
The connectivity of cars in this segment is extremely important, and the MZD Connect systems delivers. The 7” display is intuitive to navigate with a rotary and joystick controller located on the centre console. There are plenty of shortcut buttons available to speed things along when navigating the menus. The touchscreen locks out when the Mazda 2 GT is on the move as a safety measure, but this prevents the front passenger from having access to those features. There are two USB sockets, an SD card reader an AUX port and a 12 volt socket available to connect devices.
Looking for a new or used Mazda 2 for sale? Get in touch with us at Mandurah Mazda and check out our latest hot car deals. Our sales team will be happy to answer all of your remaining questions.

Understanding the Mazda CX-5: What is EBA?
When they consider the Mazda CX-5, Perth based drivers can easily become overwhelmed by the amount of three letter acronyms. This is true of all modern car manufacturers; there is so much technology onboard modern cars it can be hard to understand what half of this stuff actually does. In this article, we will take a closer look at Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) that is now fitted to Mazda cars and how it can enhance your driving experience.
Tumblr media
What is EBA?
Almost all cars built during the last decade have been equipped with some form of EBA technology. Many drivers may have had to brake extremely quickly to avoid a pedestrian or other traffic swerving into their path, and this is where EBA can help. These systems are specifically designed to gauge when the driver is trying to carry out a stop during an emergency. In the car industry, this is sometimes referred to as an emergency or panic stop. The concept began back in 1992 when Mercedes Benz found that almost all drivers didn’t apply enough force to their brakes during a panic stop. Over time, they developed a system that could detect the speed and force applied to a brake pedal. This would allow the system to recognise an emergency stop situation and apply extra force until the ABS system kicks in. This is important because the last thing that you need in a panic stop is for the wheels to lock up.
Is EBA Related to AEB?
For obvious reasons, many drivers do get these two terms mixed up, and this can lead to considerable confusion. Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) is not related to EBA in any meaningful way. It should be noted that EBA is not really a collision avoidance system like AEB is. To a large extent, EBA relies on driver input to begin the collision sensing procedure and the appropriate braking assistance response. On the other hand, AEB is an automated braking system that uses technology to sense when it’s required to avoid or minimise the effects of a collision.
EBA Proliferation
Mercedes Benz first brought the EBA system to market in 1996 on their S-Class sedan series and the SL Roadster. By 1998, they had added the technology to their entire range, and over time other car manufacturers followed suit. In fact, by 2009 every vehicle sold in Europe was required to have EBA systems fitted as part of their standard equipment. With the technological progression of EBA and its widespread use all over the world, our cars have never been safer for emergency braking.

Mazda Dealers Perth Report: Top After Sales Service Satisfaction Performance
Tumblr media
We are your local Mazda dealership, Perth drivers can count on us for the best Mazda car deals and attentive after sales care. The Mazda dealer network has worked extremely hard in recent years to give customers the very best service. This has certainly paid off, according to the latest study by JD Power, Mazda has the top spot in their Customer Satisfaction Survey. This is an impressive achievement, but it should be noted that this success is the third time in a row for Mazda! Here in Australia, Mazda has edged out both Toyota and Nissan to take this crown yet again. Let’s take a closer look at how Mazda has achieved this success.
An Enhanced Customer Experience
There are a few key trends that seem to repeat themselves throughout the entire JD Power survey. It’s notable that the transparency and ease of booking the service seemed to be a key factor for customers. Around 19% of customers reported watching their car being serviced and they were more satisfied than those owners that couldn’t. Also, customers that could book their servicing appointment online were generally more happy that those that had to arrange the service on the phone.
Online Engagement is Key
The Australian manager at JD Power is Bruce Chellingworth, and after the latest survey, he said: “brands with a strong online platform have the added advantage of engagement with their customers before they even walk into the dealership.” He then added “ they are offering an enhanced customer experience early on,” it seems to be key then that brands engage with their client online. Later, Mr. Chellingworth stated “Brands should not only actively communicate and promote the usage of the online channel, but also complement their outreach by using offline tools” he then added, “this will provide a smoother transition to the online platform and ensure a cohesive customer experience."
How Did Mazda Score?
In total, Mazda scored 789 out of a maximum score of 1,000 in a survey of 4,586 car owners. Mazda edged out Toyota with a score of 783 and Nissan came third with a score of 779. It’s the little things that make a big difference to customers, regularly washed and vacuumed cars say a great deal about a car dealership. Customers had more satisfaction when they were walked back to their cars after a servicing appointment. It seems that Mazda knows how to treat their customers, but there is always room for improvement, and perhaps they will hit four times in a row on the next JD Power survey.

When They Consider the Mazda CX-3 Price, Perth Drivers Need to Remember Insurance
The Mazda CX-3 is a fantastic car, but like every vehicle on the road, it will need to be insured. This is a legal requirement, and it will also offer you some legal and financial protection in the event of an accident. However, not all insurance policies and providers are equal, and it’s vital to understand what you’re signing before you put pen to paper. Here are some key factors that you will need to consider carefully when you choose your next car insurance policy.
What Type of Insurance Do You Need?
In order to figure out the type of car insurance that you need you will need to understand the type of cover that you require and price that you can afford. As a quick example: if your car isn’t worth much or you don’t have a lot to spend, you may just want third party cover to protect you from any damage that you could cause to another person's property. If you have more to spend and you want more insurance cover for theft and damage to your car, you will need a comprehensive insurance policy.
What Aspects Are Covered by the Policy?
There are many drivers on the roads that mistakenly believe that they are covered for a wide variety of liabilities and damages. This may not be the case because some of these drivers have not read their policy documents prior to signing them. This can lead to these drivers getting tripped up later when they assume that they have adequate levels of coverage. Never sign a policy document if you’re not sure about the details and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Are There any Discounts Available?
When you buy car insurance, there will be a renewal date each year to ensure that your coverage continues. At this time there may be discounts available that could lower your premium significantly. One of the best know discounts is the no claims bonus that will reward you with a discount for every year that you don’t make an insurance claim. There is usually a five year cap on this discount, but double check with your insurance provider as this can vary depending upon the insurer. There may also be a multi-policy discount for drivers that are consolidating a number of insurance policies with a single insurance provider. This doesn’t necessarily have to be car insurance either; you may be able to bundle home insurance or other types of policies with your car insurance.
