OVERPLAYING YOUR FAVORITE SONG
Have you ever had a song that you loved so much that you played it every where you went? In the morning on your way to school. At night before you go to bed. During lunch. Until one day, you find that the song does not sound the same.
I mean, the guitar solo you thought was just "freaking awesome" is now the worst part of the whole album. The vocalist's riffs and vibratos you thought were mind blowing; you now find that you're almost losing your mind listening to it.
Well, you are not alone. Plenty of people overplay their favorite song. Even I overplay my favorite music. It's a common problem we human beings have. But here's a suggestion. Don't play the song for a month, then listen to it. Or better yet, when you get the latest CD play every song with moderation. Play your favorite song at least once or twice a week, and see what happens.
Just a thought.
