You should be able to listen to a full album without looking at your phone. You should be able to watch a 3 hour film from beginning to end without checking social media. If you can't do this, you need to start training your attention span as if it were a physical muscle. I don't experience boredom or restlessness because I've trained my brain to not be dependent on quick stimuli and dopamine hits. If you can't chill on a park bench while waiting for a friend with just your imagination to keep you company, you need to learn how to do it ASAP because one day we may not have access to the internet.

These girls totally flirt with fans and love making them blush. They're like if teenage girls finally got over the societal expectation that they have to be pretty and perfect and went straight into being the most attractive aura farming mfs around.

Rumi stretching before the fanmeet, Mira walking with her arms in her pockets, Zoey rapping like Eminem if he did aegyo. It's there guys.

And it suits them. It makes them more real and likeable. They're kinda cringe, they're very goofy and weird and that's what makes them huntrix.

Treat them like how y'all treat RV, Twice and Aespa. Because they're literally based off of all of them, come on guys let's not be shy

For those who don't know, YouTube will be adding AI age verification for US-based users starting August 13th. This will attempt to use "the types of videos a user is searching for, the categories of videos they have watched, or the longevity of the account," to determine their age, regardless of what birthdate they have entered. If an adult is incorrectly determined to be a child, they will need to give YouTube a government-issued ID or a credit card to verify their age. As with many such things, YouTube claims it is for the children's safety. Obviously, I am all for protecting children, and I don't want them to be exposed to things they shouldn't see, but this is most likely more about data collection. Even if it was about children's safety, this was the logic used for creating YouTube Kids, and we can all see how "safe" that is.

If you don't want to directly send your driver's license to Google, you'll need to deal with "age appropriate product experiences and protections," such as "digital wellbeing tools" and disabling personalized ads. The second part is because in the US, it is illegal to collect certain information about people under the age of 13. Now, the people at Google (which owns YouTube) love collecting information about their users, but they don't want to get in trouble, and they believe AI moderation is the answer. Not only can the AI work around the clock, but if anything goes wrong, they can say it was the machine that made the mistake, not them. And, as with any moderation, there will be mistakes (again, look at YouTube Kids).

Because of this, creators and viewers alike are planning to stop using the site starting on August 13th. I personally doubt YouTube will care much, at least at first, but if they lose enough ad revenue, they might reconsider their decision. YouTube says they'll be rolling this out to a small test group first, so it might not affect you right away, but if nothing is done, it will soon. If you're an American who uses YouTube regularly, I encourage you to join, whether just for a day, or as long as it takes. And if you have kids, please teach them internet safety and monitor their internet access so that companies can't make this garbage excuse anymore.

I love all the ships of Polytrix so so sooo much but I have a huge soft spot for Zoemira especially. They’re so “loves to talk x loves to listen” taken to the NEXT LEVEL like!!!! Zoey loves how Mira never makes her feel like she needs to settle down and keep her thoughts to herself and “be normal”; meanwhile, Mira loves how Zoey actively chooses and seeks her out because growing up as the black sheep she would almost always be shunned and often ignored by her family. More Zoemira ranting under the cut :]]]

The classic “loves to talk x loves to listen” trope is well known and deeply beloved for the whole ‘person who previously would be shut down and bullied for being too energetic of a hyperyapper getting to FINALLY be comfortable talking to someone who incredibly and fully validates their rantings and ramblings and makes sure they never feel like they’re taking too much of their time and space’ thang (which in itself is timeless and absolutely delectable), but can we talk about how refreshing and even healing it must be for the listener??? Walk with me, walk with me here.

I am so deeply, deeply fond of my personal Zoemira dynamic in which Mira doesn’t just ‘put up’ with or even just baseline accepts Zoey’s rants and one million flowing ideas, but is actually genuinely touched to be the one chosen to be given all of Zoey’s rambunctious attention, to be the one Zoey wants to confide in and trusts to hear all of her ideas. Her own relatives would scorn and outcast her for being too ‘problematic’ without realizing that the more they try to push her to the side in favor of her perfect golden boy older brother (and the fact that Mira is implied to come from a chaebol family with an older brother? Oohhh lord that deserves its own post dissecting all the implications), the more she would lash out to try and fight fer a scrap of their attention. Even if it was negative, at least they would finally look her direction. Meanwhile, with Zoey, it’s never a fight fer her attention. Instead, girly always seeks out Mira first, her stream of consciousness rambling always effortlessly without even trying (or probably even meaning to) making Mira feel not just included but like her own input and opinions hold value and weight, and Mira feels so honored and so protective of this privilege.

Furthermore, Mira genuinely thinks Zoey is so, so brilliant with just how smart she is, she can fill up a dozen notebooks with songs and concepts and whatnot in just a few hours! When Rumi had a problem with her voice, Zoey already had 57 ideas immediately ready to go! That wonderful head of hers is full of lyrics that are simply fantastic, at least two dozen new animal facts at any given time, and so much more. Mira is just so deeply grateful that Zoey actively chooses her- yes, her! The ba ba black sheep her own parents were always too embarrassed of!- to be on the receiving end of all her brilliance, and I think to be someone’s active number one choice, especially when you grew up in a supposed ‘family’ that very openly made it known just how unwanted you were, ohhh that’s just lovely.

Zoemira nation do you understand me is this thang OOOONNNN? “Talks a lot x loves to listen” but what if they both validated and healed each other just from hours of one-sided conversation all pressed together and sweetly snuggled? What if the talker felt so free to speak their mind fully and not be shamed for it, and in turn the listener felt so valued from their company being sought out with full excitement and belonging?

What if they were two pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that fell off the table, were swept under the rug, and eventually found company and comfort in each other?

What if Mira loved being painted in all these different colors previously stuck and stuffed away in Zoey’s head, vibrance stuck under her nails and a myriad of hues staining her skin as a permanent reminder that she isn’t just tolerated, but actively wanted?

What if Zoey didn’t just accept these jagged edges, but reached out to them specifically to hold ‘em so tenderly in her hands and shine her own light on them because they have only ever encouraged her to take up as much space as possible?

What if they loved each other not despite these ‘flaws’, but because of them?

What if it was a two-way street? What if they were BOTH so, soooo utterly good for each other on the rather simple yet rather life-changing basis that Zoey loves to talk, and Mira loves to listen? What then dude, what then?

Sometimes, belonging isn’t about being in the right place, sometimes it’s about being around the right people, and let me tell you, they are certainly each other’s people.

They're wearing promise rings, your honor

In Korea, there's a tradition where couples will exchange promise rings- known simply as couples rings- on the 100th day of the relationship to signify their deep commitment to each other. These rings are oftentimes worn on the right ring finger, as opposed to the left, in order to avoid confusion for a wedding band while still maintaining a very significant weight + meaning.

Notice how Zoemira are wearing matching gold rings. On the same finger. The right ring finger, to be exact. Hm. And with NO other accessories. Hmm. Even though we have seen them accessorize with multiple rings before. Hmmmm!

I'm just saying, the animators made a choice and I am noticing said choice. I will now be imagining one million scenarios revolving around Zoemira promise rings, walk with me here.

One of them shyly proposing with a golden ring on the 100th day of being together, "If the Honmoon turning golds means it's going to last forever, then I want our relationship to be just like that..." and then the other rushes to grab her own box with her own golden ring and, laughing with tears in her eyes, offers up the ring with a choked up, "I was thinking the same thing."

Zoemira being very, very, VERY careful when taking off their respective rings and tucking them safely with their clothes when they go to the bathhouse together. When they're done bathing, it's the very first thing they check on and immediately slip back onto their finger before putting on any clothes.

They can't wear their promise rings during shows, public Huntrix outings like fan signings, etc etc lest they catch heated speculation from observant fans and paparazzi alike (dating is a hugeeee no-go for idols unfortunately), but that doesn't mean they don't have them on their person at all times if they can help it. Secured into inside pockets of their clothes, long stringed necklaces that stay underneath their tops, so on and so forth. I like to think, despite it being the easiest solution to avoid rumors and speculation, they choose to forgo wearing their rings on a different finger. These specific rings have a very specific symbolism- it's either gonna be on their ring finger or no finger. And if it's not gonna be on a finger, then they're still going to have it on their person in some way because unless absolutely necessary you best believe they're never taking those rings off.

^^^^Which is why they like to wear 'em when out in public when disguised!! Yay they can properly wear their promise rings and not get fleck for it!!! Like yes hold on Rumi we’re gonna go to the tonic doctor but we gotta get blinged up first. These matching rings are SUPER vital to the disguises and it’s INCREDIBLY important they’re worn properly ie on our ring fingers specifically. Don’t look too deeply into it (yeah I’m of the boat Rumi never realized Zoemira were already together pre-canon, to be fair girly had a lot on her plate to deal with) (she’s also never noticed their flirting attempts to get her to be their third but that’s neither here nor there).

Give me disguised!Zoey grabbing disguised!Mira by the hand to drag her through a busy and crowded marketplace, speed yapping through the one million lyric ideas she's recently come up with while mindlessly rubbing Mira's promise ring with her thumb, and in turn Mira intently listening and hoping her girlfriend doesn't let go of her hand anytime soon.

Give me Zoemira pinky promises featuring the promise rings. Oftentimes, Zoey will playfully challenge Mira with a, "Oh yeah? Pinky promise?" and stick out her pinky. Mira would then hook her own pinky with Zoey's and reply, "I promise" before rotating her own hand and in turn rotating Zoey's hand (since their pinkies are still hooked together), and as she's bowing her head and titling it a little not unlike the MOST dashing and charming she/her prince to ever grace this Earth, Mira maintains flirty eye contact with Zoey as she presses a sincere kiss to her beloved's promise ring as if giving a seal of approval punctuating how serious she is about keeping her word. It doesn't matter if this is the tenth or hundredth time Mira has pulled this move on her (Zoey has her make pinky promises often, what can she say she's just a silly little guy), the rapper's heart still bursts with warm, fluttery affection every single time. The way she'd giggle as Mira pulls back and shifts her hand so that their fingers are intertwined, oh yeah girly is SWOONING (and on god I can not blame her. Mira Huntrix is the high fashion prince charming she/her boyfriend. God bless handsome femmes).
