Just a couple of weeks ago we completed this project for the Hippopotamus Restaurant in Agen, France. For this project, we used three Typ T umbrellas which completely cover the restaurant's terrace.

Youghal, which is an irish village, has recently been equipped with extra durable tulip umbrellas to withstand wind forces up to 110 km/h. The biggest advantage is the protection against sun and rain simultaneously. The membrane collects the water and invisibly guides it through the mast into drainage system. Due to this extraordinary canopy the community can use the place as a parking lot as well as for the weekend’s market. Also other events can be hosted – protected from sun and rain.

PERFECT SUNPROTECTION

In order to offer perfect protection from the Caribbean sun for the visitors of Daniel’s Steak & Chop and also offering an eye-catcher for the passing cars, the restaurant team chose the impressive tulip umbrellas, manufactured by MDT. Those are both visually appealing while also offering sun and rain protection.

Grinder restaurant is located on Notre-Dame Street, in the heart of Griffintown, southwestern district of Montreal, a dynamic and promising area for pubs and restaurants. Grinder is characterized by classic and modern elements such as glass and metal. To match this, the design tulip-shaped umbrellas were installed as an extension to the roof. They also serve as sun and rain protection. Rainwater is transported under the wooden floors via a drainage system. The architect Zébulon Perron created a comfortable and cozy restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

MODERN SUN PROTECTION The Natural History Museum, opened in 1913 in Los Angeles, was modified multiple times and increased their parking capacity. In July 2011, another hall was opened for dinosaurs. Since it is the largest historical museum in the western USA, the museum needed to accommodate for the large amount of visitors. The museum chose the designer umbrellas from MDT Mueller Design for their restaurant area, as well as their ticket counters.

UNFORGETTABLE DINNER In the luxury district Cocle, located in Panama, JW Marriott Golf & Beach Resort offers a very special experience. Our tulip screens were installed along the pool area with lighting, so as to create a dazzling ambiance during evening dinners. Matching the textile canopies of the tables, it makes every dine a special experience.

The historic house of Cartier, built in 1812, now houses the Restaurant Jardin Nelson at the Jacques-Cartier Plaza in Montreal. The garden takes you into a truly historic and contemporary oasis in the heart of Old Montreal. The garden is decorated with flowers of all colors and the warm lighting creates a unique atmosphere. By installing the giant umbrellas with a size of 9 x 9 m, we can offer our guests perfect sun and rain protection.

The Hookah Lounge is located in the heart of the city of Santa Fe, in the Vasco de Quiroga Avenue. The bar is located on the fourth floor. Here guests will be pampered with delicious food and long drinks while having a perfect view of the whole city, which casts a wonderful light in the sky during the night.

Highline New York

The High Line is a 2.33 km rail line, which is no longer used as such. The rail lines were converted to a park in 2006. The park enables the people of New York to go jogging, relax during the lunch break, or use it as a shortcut to the nearest subway station. Since it was always very hot during the summer, MDT INC. Atlanta was asked to provide tulip umbrellas, which fit perfectly into the local architecture and enhanced the already impressive appearance of the Skyline of New York.

Hotel Cosmopolitan Las Vegas - Shaded and lighted by tulip umbrellas

Just a couple of minutes of walking from the Paris Las Vegas Casino, the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas offers luxurious accommodation with a view on the pool, the lake, and the well. Also included is a heated Whirlpool and an outdoor pool. On the fourth floor, which features a massive pool area, the hotel offers the Boulevard Pool, Bambus Pool, and Marquee Dayclub Pool. Overall, 30 tulip umbrellas were installed. Twenty umbrellas with a diameter of 4m were installed, and the other ten had a diameter of 3 m.

The renovated historic building in the picturesque and lively neighborhood Montrose is adorned by a 6,000 square meter garden with Shona stone sculptures from Zimbabwe. Inside, authentic steel window frames, original brick walls, comfy sofas, and antique lamps from Germany, France, and England create a fine atmosphere. Outside, metal, wood, and stone elements blend into an independent look.
