So, I caught feelings again and my way to express them is via music.

Today I chose violence, because the song is VERY angsty. I am providing lyrics translation here.

@lan-jingyeet this post is a littul gift for you cause it was ( unintentionally) you who brought me to the mesmerizing world of 'The Untamed '. It has literally became my emotion now. Apart from the heart-wrenching story of our power-couple Wangxian, the love wei wuxian and Yanli shared had me cried for hours. Like Wu Ji, Yi Nan Ping plays with the strings of my heart. Today while re-watching a scene suddenly a poetry from my childhood popped up in my mind and I was in tears again.

Please guys I BEG OF YOU, go watch "Strappare lungo i bordi" on Netflix by Zerocalcare.

The series is just 6 episodes of about 10 mins each. It has been translated to English as well, if you look for "Tear Along the Dotted Line" you will find it.

It is an absolute masterpiece and speaks in volumes never heard before. It is something we can understand and relate very deeply. Please, go watch it, I promise you will NOT be disappointed.

And of course I have ways to process my emotions and that means creating fandom stuff.

The MDZS Language Fest has officially ended

A million thank yous to everyone who liked, reblogged and of course, contributed their creations to this event! You all truly exceeded our wildest expectations with your creativity, talent and the sheer number of posts you posted to the mdzsmultilingual21 tag! Way back when we first posted the interest check we said we wished to give the linguistic and cultural diversity of the mdzs fandom a place to shine. We hope we achieved that goal this week and if we did, it is all thanks to you!

As of right now, these are the languages people used in their creations this week:

the fact that μάτια μου is a term of love/endearment in greek which literally means "my eyes" has been tucked away in the future-songxiao-projects part of my brain for like a year at least, so thank you to this event for prompting me to do anything about that,,,

the untamed women: korean music fanmix

Specifically one with music by Korean girl groups and female solo artists. Some of the selections are very tongue in cheek while others are more serious. But I swear I put thought into each one!

From Three Hundred Lives, Epilogue

This was the part where I actually wanted to post a video / amv made of all the audio files and clips that I posted before, along with the last written part, but I didn’t get done on time, because of course I didn’t. I still want to continue working on it and will post it later, as a sort of ‘afterparty’, if the mods @mdzs-language-fest​ are amenable. :) 

I also plan to have the drabbles beta read and post them on my AO3 as soon as I can (maybe have the vid done around the same time? with luck?) In the meantime, and to be able to argue that yes this very much counts as a post for the language fest (because I don’t have an actual stanza), I uploaded the full sized gifs to an image host, for everyone to enjoy. (Take that tumblr!) I also didn’t want to withold the conclusion of the “story” for that long, so here you go.

A poem I wrote in Hindi for @mdzs-language-fest. It is a Wangxian poem from Wei Wuxian's POV. The background Wangxian art is also by me. Special thanks to @righteousinadversity for beta reading this!

हमारे ह्रदय मैं उन्होंने एक अलग ही स्थान बना कर रख दिया| - Hamare hriday mein unhone ek alag hi sthan bana kar rakh diya.

(He has made a special kind of place in my heart)

सुनहरी आँखों की एक झलक, चाँद से चेहरे पर एक हलकी सी मुस्कुराहट, - Sunheri aakon ki ek jhalak, chand se chehere par ek halki si muskurahat

(A small glimpse of golden eyes, a faint little smile on his moon-like face)

उन बाँहों में जो सुकून, इस प्रेम ने हमें बेबस ही कर दिया| - Un bahon mein jo sukoon, is prem ne hameh bawas hi kar diya.

(The peace that exists in his arms, this love has made me helpless)

हम कोमल हो गए हैं, उनकी छाँव में खिल रहे हैं| - Hum komal ho gaye hain, unki chanv mein khill rahe hein.

*Gandharva vivah is a type of ancient Hindu marriage that is like elopement
