Let’s say your matrilineal line is fairly consistent and everyone has their daughter at 25. So four women in your matrilineal line are born every hundred years. In a thousand years, that’s only 40 women. Like the math is so simple and yet ? You don’t think about it. So in 2000 years, 80 women. So basically, 0 AD started roughly about 80 mothers ago. That’s it.

As an early Valentine’s Day gift, enjoy the ballroom scene from the War & Peace miniseries, aka the actual most romantic thing I have ever seen in my entire life. Watch Andrei’s facial expression the whole time. I will never get over this.

He was always like, “OK, who are you and what are you thinking about? How do you do what you do?” And he appreciated oddballs — people who looked different and spoke in a certain way. He had a very strong curiosity and had very absolute aesthetic values.
He also had a certain rigor. If he saw something in another artist he admired, if they didn’t pick up that ball and run with it, he didn’t have any problem saying, “Well, if you’re not going to do it, I will. I’ll do this thing you should have done.” And that was very valid.

I will go to war in a red dress, trample your ashes in high heels, look for my lipstick stain on your collar when I lean forwards not to kiss you, but to whisper: “I win.”

Too many people : Do you really believe in the witchcraft stuff? Have you ever cast a spell that actually worked?
Me: Yes. I cast a spell last night to give me the patience to deal with judgmental questions.
