Food, to me, is a way of showing love. I am trying to learn how to cook healthier as I travel on this journey to become a better healthier me. I started from zero and ran my first half marathon in 2015. I love to run and I love to cook.

Hello...is it me you're looking for?
Yes, I’ve been looking for you. Searching every where for my former self. I caught glimpses of her last year when I trained for and ran my first half marathon. Snapshots of the girl that was always athletic and had “killer legs.”
I vowed I would always be able to run a mile at a moments notice.
But that girl somehow got lost. She took a backseat to her career and then motherhood. But she’s there. Always has been…and she is hungry. Ready.
In 2017 I plan to chisel away this current body and find her again. The Melissa that could turn heads. That loved being active. Needed to be active. 2017 is MY year.
Bring it.
