You are the one who convinced me to mostly be a Wind/Tune Hyrule Warriors/War of Eras before Linked Universe truther! And I thank you for that with my whole heart🫶🫶✨✨

Though I will say I also really like war of eras after linked universe too, cause wind being a little shit and knowing things is always fun (and the angst of him getting to see his brother again but them not know who he is is DELICIOUS), but again, I prefer the other one.

All of this to say! I am indecisive so I’m like. Why not both? Wind does wind waker and phantom hourglass, get a break of about a year. Is 14. falls into a portal but it’s Lana summoning him to fight in the war of eras. He does so two years, builds up the bonds (I cry for a thousand years about the war of eras boys) and then he suddenly just completely drops off the face of the earth. Mask and Link can’t find Tune anywhere after a huge battle. Lana can’t even give them the security of suggesting he’s back home cause her portal wasn’t summoned/her magic wasn’t used and she can’t even help them find a body cause she can’t sense him. Tune is just gone. If I’m pushing it, could it make it so Cia catches on that the captain is missing a pest in green and has them believe that she captured their brother, only for them to fall into a trap and after being rescued, they either believe 1) his remains are in a mass grave somewhere and can’t be identified or 2) believe the lie that Cia told him that she got rid of him before they could get to her hideout. Either way, WRECKED. Unhealthy overwork and grieving is had. War of era goes on another year but it ends maybe a little faster because they couldn’t let their brother’s death in another era be in vain.

MEANWHILE Wind is actually portaled to the beginning of Linked Universe. And so a reunion in the making of between 2 to 25 years is had - time travel/dimension hopping is so weird - and there are tears aplenty. But there’s the underlying fear at the end of adventure of where Wind/Tune is going to end up at the end of LU, cause Mask and Warriors never found him, not before Lana sent everyone back to their own times and it’s been two years for Warriors and still nothing. I don’t really know how to end this other than yippeee glorious, tearful reunions! The time loop is closed for Wind by having him at the end of LU go through the portal with Warriors, thus ending where he was again, and then finally being sent back to his Outset island.

This is so long and I hope it’s not just incoherent. I apologize if this isn’t your usual vibe, I just really wanted to share how much I love your war of eras headcanon and how it’s something I lowkey have been thinking about for the past two months since joining the linked universe/legend of Zelda fandom. I really love the way you draw Time, Wind, and Warriors. Your art was a big reason why I have a soft spot for both Wind and Warriors. Again, thank you for sharing ✨✨👏👏🫶🎉 and thanks for reading this whole thing, if you do lmao

you managed to make both scenarios fit perfectly, like The Comedy that's the "Wind goes through HW before LU and is pissed off his baby brother is now an Old Man while he's STILL a kid" and The Angst of "Wind goes through HW post LU and meets his brothers again but they have no memories of him cause LU hasn't happened for them yet"

i personally like the funny idea that no matter how many time shenanigans happen wind is still, somehow, 13/14, since phantom hourglass happens in a dream like realm and wind in the real world was only away for 10 mins (canonically) he can go through wind waker at 12, and go through phantom hourglass + hyrule warriors at 13, fight in the war of eras for a year and be 14 when the LU portal gets him, so he's still the youngest of the chain when they're all reunited lmao

but i do love the idea that he gets portaled WHILE HW is happening and everyone thinks he just died, it makes the wind+wars+time reunion so heartfelt ooough

like if we go with wind still being 14 while the others are now much muuuuch older, seeing him again at the same age he supposedly "died" could mean that maybe they think he's some kind of ghost at first??

like if i were to lose a sibling when I'm 10 amd they're 14 and then i were to see them again 20 years later when I'm 30 i def would think it was some kind of apparition instead of the. being back for real lol

or maybe they think it's a monster taking the appearance of their "dead" brother :-) like make the reunion even more chaotic and emotional, with wind convincing them that he is legit tune and not dead or not a monster

thinking about post game zelda at the anniversary of midna's departure, asking link to meet her at the arbiter's grounds where what's left of the mirror of twilight still remain so they can do type of ceremony in midna's name

and like, when link gets there what's left of the mirror is covered by a piece of cloth, and zelda's like "oh you got here, finally"

anyway, this is basically me telling y'all to picture the scene from the ending of monster's inc where mike spent like a year looking for every single piece of boo's door so it could work again so sulley could see her again

ok that, but it's zelda taking the cloth off a showing an almost complete mirror and being all "hey so i found most of the mirror shards, i spent the entire year looking for them and assembling them i found all of them except one, but without that piece the mirror won't work. i wanted to surprise you, but i guess it wasn't meant to be, I'm sorry"

and then link like gets all emotional and starts crying cause he's been carrying a shard of the mirror with him since that day

so they put the mirror shard in the last place together and yeah

yeah lmao I'm emotional now, anyway blame @monokuromatic who got me into a twilight princess mood

General concept of the au : The chain is cursed to be the age when they first wielded a sword. Wild happens to be the youngest and ofc Twi will be EXTRA protective over his cub. I'll write more about it soon!!

Decided to start working on Whumptober! Going to be doing the LU boys of course. Been inspired from a few blogs and I'm mostly done a chapter with Four! He's the unfortunate recipient of my awful cramps sorry buddy.

Exerpt bellow! (Please note I didn't correct yet)

Another hour went by and Hylia, the cramp was starting to really hurt. Four could no longer school his expression into one of calm, the flashes of pain had changed from intervals of a few minutes... to one every few steps. It was becoming agonising.

"Sky." He huffed out quietly once the edges of his vision began to darken. "Can you ask Time to stop? I need to sit down." He slowed down a bit, trying to calm the pain wracking his body.

"Yeah of course." The skyloftian jogged up again and Four watched the exhange. He prayed to Hylia they'd be able to stop for a moment this cramp was absolutely tearing through his body.

Time called out something to the group and Four gave a thankful smile to Sky who had run back next to him.

"Thanks." Four didn't even bother moving off of the path, he sat right where he was, relief flodding through his sore body.

"Are you okay?" Sky knealt down worried.

"I will be. Just need a minute." He closed his eyes and took in some deep breaths, his lower body trembling everytime a flash of pain coursed through him.

Time soon came over and crouched down as well.

"Smith?" He felt his brothers forehead in concern.

"Not sick." He supplied and opened his eyes. "Just this really awful cramp that won't go away." Another jolt ran through his body.

"Any idea what's causing it?"

Four shrugged.

"I had enough water, same thing for food. Didn't hurt myself during the last fight." He mentally went through every possible thing that could be wrong. Then, something clicked. "Wait. I might know what it is." Time motioned for him to go on. Four waited for another one of the jolts of pain to go through him. And sure enough, that was it. "I knew I recognised that cramp." He groaned, hiding his head in his hands.

"Smith you're worrying me, what's wrong?"

I just had a really dumb but fun linked universe au idea. So what if the lu chain... but curse them to be kids.

Now hear me out, I know a lot of them still are kids but what if they get cursed to be the age when they first started using a sword? Bellow is an image of ages (left is just me choosing them right is order of ages) and just general thoughts about it. (ignore how dark it is lmao)

Now why are they kids you may ask? What if they got cursed to be the age when they were taught how to wield a sword? For example, we know Wild could beat up full grown adults by the age of 4 ish. We know Four's grandpa is a blacksmith so I assume he would have taught his grandson his craft fairly early on. For Sky I just used actual knight rules since he does go to an academy. And Twilight... well he's an adult because a) I couldn't decide what age he should be and b) I realised I needed an adult oopsies!

I have a bunch of ideas for this au and have already started writing the prologue! The placeholder name for now is "Little bodies need a lot of help" but I feel eh about it so I'll just tag it as little bodies for now.
