I hate it. I can't stand it. In fact I can't even climb it, I refuse, even if I don't really have any ground to stand on.

I don't know If it has been discussed here ever or not, I'm on this site like a classmate who comes 40 minutes late to a lesson of the government-provided 45 minutes.

You see, English language has two silly funny words in it. Stairs and Ladder. Something you can climb one way or another and move yourself higher, yeah. I'm talking about words in broad use, like somebody would point at the thing and just say like "well it's called a ladder ok?"

In my first language, my MOTHERTONGUE, there's only one broadly used word describing both stairs and ladders equally (if we don't count the world that stands for steps/stepping stones (?) BUT EVEN THEN IT IS USED TO DESCRIBE BOTH TOO) And I always forget one of the two english words, end up using wrong one or just sit all awkward and silent refusing to talk another word before I remember and/or understand what of the two fuckers I need to talk about.

Does it have such a huge difference for you? Why WOULD you need two words? I can't grasp the need to differentiate them. Like yeah, there are some differences but bro it's not that bad. Worst case you could say like. Vertical stairs or something. Horizontal ladder doesn't make sense to me it's just a ladder that has fallen.

BUT THEN IT GETS WORSE. YOU HAVE THE WORD "TRAP". It is, in fact, a trap. A fucking rabbit hole. It is a staircase in some way. And sometimes it's a trapdoor. But trap.

Schrodinger's laddernaming. You will never know if it is a staircase or a trapdoor in your language, or if it is a ladder or a staircase in mine until you see the object.

#can't wait for people to pull up and say like “well in my first language we have like 8 names for it depending on the weather :3”#and like 5 more for spiral staircase too #why cant we just fly huh. we humans just can't do anything #words like lift and escalator are borrowed letter by letter don't even ask #i hope there's a person that takes all ladder posts and then a different one for stairs it would be kinda funny actually.

So uh. Fucking marzipan cookies too?

But unlike the angel cookie's skin, I would never have thought that the marzipan cookies were also partially inspired by Medjed??? even if they have the same eyes (and it turned out to be on purpose????)

AAAAAND THEY SHOOT FUCKING LASERS FROM THEIR EYES, TOO.

I'm starting to think that I'm a bit slow-witted.
