#GirlsWithToys proves women belong in science
In a recent interview a CalTech scientist, said, “Many scientists, I think, secretly are what I call ‘boys with toys’” The only problem? Not all scientists are boys — and women around the world let him know. This is so much more than a hashtag.

And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids!

Planning a CE event for local #medlibs
This is more involved than I thought. Thankfully I have the rest of the exec of local chapter of CHLA to help. OVHLA Mini Symposium is this Thursday! Super exciting, because this is the biggest thing the chapter has planned. We have 7 speakers (posters, sessions and lightning talks) and another 10 people planning to attend. That’s pretty much most of our membership (small community). Wish me luck!

now every time someone asks me what my job is I’m going to answer them in limericks

Creating a new Fossil Hall takes a lot of work, especially with all of the #PrattKeeping. Just another day in the office for the Museum of Natural History’s Dinosaur Curator, Matthew Carrano.

Hi everyone!
Are you, or do you know other #tumbrarians? I’m a #medlib (well, #canmedlib, really) and I’m looking for tumblr buddies.
Anyone I should be following?
Thanks!

Could this be called art therapy? I kinda love it, except I lack any visual art skills, so it’s just frustrating.
