P2 Module Demo Day
Today is probably the biggest day for our team. We managed to gather a crowd at our booth with Hari’s confident and convincing pitching skills, we gathered the most votes from the Year 1 students in our class. We managed to get 38 votes as their favorite project. I am truly very proud and happy for the rest of the team as we have burnt several midnight oils just to get this done and now our efforts have paid off. We can tell that most of the students are very impressed with our idea, but we just needs more budget and more time in order to improve further on this app. Furthermore, we are approached by the Deputy Director of ICT who likes our idea a lot. However, he thinks that our idea needs a ‘Boom!’ surprise factor that will attract media coverage and create a trend in order to attract users and push the users to continue using the app and doing good for a long time. He explains that as students we do not have much time to give up in order to attend these events that we want to host for the good of the environment. He further emphasized that we need a solid and a more feasible rewards system and points system so that there are no loopholes or over-compensation issues when users redeem the various rewards, and the vendors that provides these rewards should have some sort of incentives or gain when they give out these rewards for free too. In the end, he took our contact number and said that he will want to speak to our tutor in consider to push our app into a real working app to be implemented in the campus
All in all, we have decided that we want to continue this project for our Capstone project as we have produced quality work and this idea is really very feasible and we can see this app becoming reality in the future. But we just need to put in our best effort to make this happen. I am just starting to be more and more passionate about this app and my team members as there is much more that is coming for us. I really enjoyed this whole process and i am really thankful that this module got me an unforgettable experience and invaluable bonds between me and my team. I promise that i will be back here during my Capstone project. Peace Out!

P2 Module Week 16
OMG... It is the last week before the Demo Day week which is in Week 17! We are currently rushing on our other assignments and we have little to no time to work on this assignment. However, we found some time to come up with the UI for the Vendor App so that the programmers can work on it ASAP before the Demo Day. We are really short of time but we know that we can do it! Now, the 3 of us just needs the refine the slides and the pitching so that we can give our best during the Demo Day. We will pull through this and i will be back with updates during the Demo Day.

P2 Module Week 14
This week, we planned to kick start the programming of the new features so that we will have enough time to finish them before Demo Day in Week 17. So... we ONLY have 3 weeks left! Additionally, we still have other assignments to submit in Week 16 and Week 17 too, plus a bunch of presentations during these 2 weeks. Sigh. I really hope that we will be alright and we can make it through these tough 3 weeks together.
Today, we did an overview of all the pages in the app to finalize everything that will be in the app so that Aniq and Koko can program the rest of the features in peace without any further changes halfway. Meanwhile, Hari, Wen Xin and I have to make some slight changes in the slides to accommodate to the new changes. This might probably be the last week that we will be actively working on this project together as we will have to focus on other assignments first, we will resume our work in Week 16 where we will have to find time to work on it again.

P2 Module Week 13
And we are back from the looooong break from the P2 module and our project was brought to a halt. However, we are BACK. This week we managed to get back on track together and planned what we need to do and what is the features that we want for our final Demo Day. We also prioritized the features that we want to complete first before others so that we will have the most important features available during the Demo Day. I am very happy that things are starting to move again! I will update again on the progress next week when we have done more stuffs!

P2 Module Hackathon Day 3
Today was really a good confidence booster to our team as we almost managed to get chosen to represent our class to pitch to the whole cohort. However, we messed up the slides a bit by talking too much about the impact of plastics on the environment which spoils the flow of the presentation. But Ms Lee told us that our idea is actually the most feasible out of all the ideas that’s why she wanted to choose us HAHAHA! So we decided to change up the slides and remove the parts that are unnecessary.
All in all, we are really happy about the results of the Hackathon and the progress that we made for the past 3 days. It was really a lot of work done YAY! However, we are not going to have P2 lessons for the next few weeks and lessons will only resume after the term break. Although we are not going meet for this period, we are going to continue planning on what needs to be done so that we can resume our work right away when we meet! I will be back really really soon!

P2 Module Hackathon Day 2
Day 2 of the Hackathon! Yes! We are ready to continue working on where we left off and the requirements to hit by today through the daily stand-up meeting.
Today was just another day where we just grind on our project especially for Aniq and Koko where they have actual requirements to hit but for the 3 of us, we just have to continue designing more pages, one of which is the remake of the Homepage of the app. We also did the inception deck and the slides and also updated the storyboard. Today was quite tiring... SOOO basically we did quite a lot today AND i really cannot wait to showcase what we got tomorrow. WE ARE READYYY!!

P2 Module Hackathon Day 1
Today is finally the start of the Hackathon! We are very excited as we can sit together for a whole day and just work on our app HOHO. The best thing is that THERE ARE SNACKS PROVIDED! To be honest, this was what kept us awake and motivated to push on for the day.
Today, Aniq and Koko managed to finish up what Ms Lee told us to complete for Day 1 while me, Hari and Wen Xin came up with more UI designs and the slides. Ms Lee came in at 2pm and all of us updated on our progress and she was happy with it. She also gave us a goal to hit for tomorrow and she will also be coming in to check on us. It was really a tiring day for us but i am really looking forward to what we can do for Day 2 tomorrow!

P2 Module Week 4
This week, we are gearing up for the 3 day Hackathon next week and our Tutor, Ms Lee has told us the various features that we should complete on Day 1 of the Hackathon. We are also advised to update our storyboard on users so that we can find out the features that users will want in our app such as sign up, log in and scanning of the QR code and many more.
Oh yes! i forgot to update about how our idea has expanded. Firstly, we have decided that we will have a gift reward that can be redeemed with points that user can earn through doing activities that are eco-friendly, such as cleaning up a foodcourt in school or even recycling their used plastic bottles. The users will have a QR code that the vendors is able to scan through the Vendor’s App and credit the points that the user have earned through completing the events and activities. There will also be a leaderboards and tier system implemented to gamify the app and make the users motivated to participate in the events and compete with their friends. So yes... these are our new ideas for the app so that our app will not be too dull and boring for the users.
Next, we have also started on our inception deck, storyboard and the slides. We are doing our best to make the everything look appealing. I am really excited to work more on it during the Hackathon next week. WE ARE READY TO GOOOOO!

P2 Module Week 3
Another week went by and now its Week 3 already... This week our group has sorted out our roles. Aniq and Koko will be our programmers and Hari, Wen Xin and I will be the UX designers for the app. YAY! Are you wondering why we only have 2 programmers? Ahhh... this is because only both of them are proficient and mobile app development as they took it as an elective last semester and this semester. We do not have to worry about the imbalance in the workload as 3 of us will be covering the slides, inception deck and the pitching in future assessments. So, the workload is balanced and we are all happy with the workload.
We have set up Android Studio and created the template for the slides and the inception deck which we will be working more on it in Week 4. I’ll be back next week!

P2 Module Week 2
Crap... Guess what!? I overslept my voting day last week and i ended up in Smart Solutions for Climate Change and Sustainable Development. Ahhhhhh! None of my friends are in this class, but luckily i met some good souls, Aniq, Hari, Wen Xin and Koko who are kind enough to take me into their groups as everyone has they own group already. I am so lucky! I really look forward to working with them as it is such as new environment with new people who are so nice and welcoming! Mr KC is really nice to me too!
For the project, we have discussed that our idea is to create an app that is able to encourage students on Ngee Ann campus to carry our daily activities that helps the environment such as bringing their own water bottle to school to reduce plastic waste. i am really proud of our idea as i can see that it is really applicable on campus but we will need to refine our activities and points system so that it can really really make an impact on busy students like us. HOHO with such strong and open-minded teammates, i am sure that we can achieve this!

P2 Module Week 1
Today is the first day of the P2 Module BUT we are required to choose a project topic to work on. However, the voting will be as a first come first serve basis where we are required to report at 8am the next day and proceed to the class that we want. Each class hosts the different topics that we can choose from.
Hmm... Currently i am eyeing for the sharing economy meets education topic. Hope that i am able to get this topic! I will be back next week to update about my posting!

Week 16
It is the week of SUBMISSION! The deadline is postponed to 30 January from 28 January so this allowed use to have more time to touch up and tie some loose ends on our prototype and research on our application.
These last 2 days before deadline, we are required to produce slides and a poster for our presentation on 31 January, hence we are working on it and getting things ready for the presentation of our awesome application! See ya on Thursday!

Week 15
It is only a week left before submission! And this week we are focusing on the prototype on MarvelApp, making it more aesthetically pleasing and easier to use and understand based on the feedback given by the respondents from the survey.
However, we are also researching in more detail about the data and the technology we are going to use in our application. Everything is going smoothly and i hope that we can make in time for the deadline!

Week 14
It is only 2 weeks left till submission!!! We are currently trying our best to juggle this project along with other modules :(
This week, we found out that the bus data that we found last week is in Application Programming Interface (API) format. We have to research and find out how to implement these data into our app! We have only roughly understood what is API and we will continue to find out more about it!

It is the second week of school and we have just started on our research on where to get the bus data such as bus arrival timings, bus services, bus routes etc. and we managed to find a solid database!
It is provided by the Land Transport Authority and they allow people in Singapore to access it for free! Great!

Week 11
It is the second week of our 2 weeks break. After researching on various existing bus apps, we decided to conduct a survey and also asked a number of target audience on what problems they faced and what improvement can be made when they are using the existing bus apps.
After conducting a survey we found out that most of them take public transport daily and most of them faced a problem of finding the correct bus stop and taking the correct bus to their desired destination in a new area. With these data, we have an idea of what can we do in our project and focus on these problems based on this data.
