I decided to just do a redraw (screen cap) from the Fairy Tail game! It's their Union Raid :D

I haven't drawn anything in a year or two so this was a nice change and very challenging!

The Kirby show birthed latin meta knight, and he will forever be my favorite meta knight

Im definitely mostly projecting as a puerto-rican, but Latinx Meta Knight is my personal favorite

for those who cant decipher my tiny writing:

- Top: Hanging up flag in halberd windows “Pinche-“

- Middle: Tends to lose time talking with friends

- Bottom: Forgets certain english words / No Sabo Kirby

- Right: Watching soap operas “Oh Dios Mio.”

The long-awaited Kirby adaptation of the Onion's Political Talk Show Host Suddenly Very Interested In Manslaughter Law Loopholes.

I was inspired to do a more dynamic layout from @starflungwaddledee! Their comics have a lot of trapezoidal panels and beautiful detail, with a... far different tone from whatever this is!

What do you think of knuckle joe? (So sorry if I already asked and I forgot 😅)

No worries!

Knuckle Joe, knuckle Joe. Oh how much I can say about this character.

Honestly it's constantly surprising how this character got such a heavy backstory, when in the games there's basically nothing to build on.

He seems lonely when we first see him. Just a boy looking for his father's killer and then becoming great friends with Kirby and Co. I'm so greedy for any writing or art that includes him, Sirica, and Meta; they deserve to talk, please!

I love the idea that Joe and Sirica end up getting close with Meta and get to hear countless stories with their parents. Perhaps even with Meta showing some pictures and belongings. Let them get emotional together and properly grieve 😭

In short (gotta stop myself before I write an essay), love this character and wish there was more of him (this goes twice as much for Sirica).

How did you learn how to draw digital art and what apps? (especially Meta Knight like wth you’re so good) 😭 plz teach me your ways

A family member of mine gave me a wacom tablet a long time ago, so I decided to give it a try! Been using it ever since.

For the most part, I use SAI but a cheap (👀) version with only 5 tools. Recently though, I've been trying to use Clip Studio paint. Someone gifted it to me and I'm eternally grateful.

As for learning, I refused to look at tutorials; I'm way too stubborn. So everything I do is by trail by error and clicking random buttons. Digital feels awkward sometimes; especially, for the first few times.

I take inspiration from other artists, be it Kirby or not, and try to add my own flare to it (like pallet, characterization, style, etc). I still struggle with Meta Knight's appendages (why are Kirby characters' feet so hard?) but practice is key! Luckily, since I'm obsessed with this blueberry.
