Oh, he’d seen her around before, in that other place. And then he hadn’t for a good long while. His wings pulled in tight as he saw her, realizing his appearance was more akin to that of a Heartless than anything else from their world. The red heart emblazoned on his chest felt as though it glowed extra brightly when someone who could recognize him approached. Gripping his chest, he pulled himself closer to the tree.
Until, at least, he saw his Mist Reaper through the trees. Sharp teeth clenched together, he spread his wings wide as he launched himself out of the tree. He was a sight, sharp horns and purple skin, as he launched himself at yet another Riku.
“Get down!”

His clawed hand attached the other, being blocked for only a moment before disappearing into smoke. Dead or not, Riku had been fighting his Reaper off for days. Turning to face the other, whom he had only spoken briefly too, he felt self conscious at the claws that his hands and feet had become. His Unholy appearance, looking as though he were a cross between Heartless and Dream Eater.
“...It’s fine now. I’m not here to hurt you.”

Sora was a cute beastkin, but he wasn’t supposed to think that. Hands went to the horns protruding from his head as his tail wrapped around him defensively. As though he didn’t want the other to notice his demonic appearance. The heartless symbol on his chest almost glowed.

“Of course it’s wishful thinking. I’m barely a person where I am, we live in a different area from the elves. I doubt you’d be able to talk to anyone in charge.” Wrapped his arms around his knees, he looked up at Sora.
“...You amaze me. People are killing each other in the streets - we have to hide if we want to hang out, and you’re just thinking of peace.” Then again, that thing did say they had to work together to get out of here. A little self-consciously, he realized what he said sounded sarcastic. Adding a small “I mean it” to the end, he turned away.
“You should be careful, though, you don’t want the other beastkin to think you’re some kind of traitor.”
@mentiors
Sora wasn’t exactly sure on why all this began. Why did a war have to start within a kingdom with one another? It would be easier if everyone just got along with one another. It probably take a life time to convince others that the supportive ‘enemy’ isn’t really an enemy.Though how could he risk his friend’s to show them that they are all not as different as they appear?
“I’ve thought about this for a while and i just can’t think of a way to convince them.” Sora contemplated towards his friend that look nothing like the monster Sora was.An unholy as they are called, but he wasn’t like any unholy he’s heard about. At least the two were still able to talk like old friends and not let their appearance be what sets them apart. “What do you think? Do you think if I went to your kingdom and talked to whoever was in charge, I could end things on one side? Or are you going to say that’s more wishful thinking.”

The Fantasia War: Replica Riku

Allegiance: Yela Alora Race: Demon Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Racial Abilities:
Flying - He has a pair of shadow wings that can sprout from his back that he can fly with. It’s pretty straightforward.
Shadow Claws - While he has long claws on his hands and feet by default, when he uses them he can send shadow projections of them, making them appear larger than they actually are in order to do a larger attack. The shadows can still do damage and are not just projections.
Spells:
Shadow Fire
Eclipse
Natural Abilities:
Dark Firaga (Retained)
Appearance:
Repliku basically looks as though his Dark mode has essentially taken over his entire body. His clawed limbs take on the same black to red hue as the hands on his Dark Mode outfit, and his skin tone is the same purple-ish black hue. The heartless symbol is still on his chest.
Role:
A young demon living in Sterlow, he tries to keep to himself as much as possible. Rumor has it he often sneaks out to go and speak to a beastkin friend quite often...

to: ReRiku from: Sora
[text]: of course! There’s no way I could say no to that. [text]: i’ll head over there now. See you soon!~ :)
He was probably at the beach way too early, pacing nervously. Looking at his phone, the replica wondered if Sora had gotten lost, or just cancelled. Sitting down, he looked out at the water, feeling the cool sand beneath him. It wasn’t quite summer yet, so he wondered if it had been a mistake.

Already breaking his own rule on not getting too involved with Sora or Namine, he allowed himself to think back on Riku. The real Riku. And the memories they now shared. The moon hanging high over the water left a pit in his stomach, and his thoughts were disrupted when someone else approached.
“Sora.”

Ah, he responded!
to:ReRiku from: Sora
[text]: it’s okay! I was just worried about you. [text]: but I’m happy to hear that you’re okay. We really need to find a good hangout spot. The beach isn’t like home, but it does have a nice view if you ever want to hang out there. [text]: of course I’m fine. [text]: umm…. think of it as if everything was okay! [text]: okay that’s a bad example, but I really am fine. Knowing that you’re okay helps me out too.

[text to: Sora] [the beach] [can we go there now?]

levitersora:
Now that was enough to make Sora just a bit angry. How can people say that they have no reason to live. That no body wants them. There’s always someone in the world that wants someone around! Furrowing his brows, Sora couldn’t help but retort back. “That’s not true! You had Riku that would have wanted you. The replica you didn’t take- for Namine- Namine would have wanted you too. That’s more than nothing! Even I wouldn’t have mind to have you. The more I learn about you, the more I wish I could have found another solution. If I had know you were around, you could have been around along with all of us.”
There’s no doubt in his mind, that everyone else he had come to know and care for, would have accepted the replica just the same.
Now seeing Riku like this made his heart hurt. He felt sad. As if some unknown promise had been broken to see the other react this way. To see so much emotion all at once was painful. He didn’t want him to feel this way. he didn’t want him to feel this anger. It would be easy to just say ‘it’s okay’ and move on, but he couldn’t. It would further upset the other if he did.
“Riku…” No… he was going to stay strong. Sora just promise to not make the other worry anymore. What kind of friend would he be to have the other feel like this. Taking a deep breath, the boy place a hand on the other’s shoulders. “You don’t have to believe what I’m telling you. I know I’ll make it into a reality. Once I make it back home, once I find my way out of the mess I’m in when i get out. I’ll find a way to bring you back too. It won’t be right away. It’s going to take me some time. But I’ll make sure, I do whatever I can to bring you back. It’s a promise.”
“I will make it back. So you can relax. Do you believe me?”
“Was I supposed to just let her fade away into nothing?!” His voice was raised now, too, “She deserved so much more than that! She spent her existence trapped in that room, only to be cast out when she wasn’t needed anymore! Namine deserved to live!” The implication was clear, of course, as he stepped closer to Sora, teeth clenched.
“And so did you! After everything was over, after you worked so hard, you-” He was being told to relax, but it was more than difficult for the replica to do that. His teeth still clenched, his lower lip shaking as he looked away, brow furrowed. Of course Sora was reassuring him after everything that had happened.

“Sora...” He wanted to shrink away. The replica didn’t deserve to be comforted like this. He was darkness, he had succumbed, and he had cleaned up his own mess.
“...I’m holding you to that. For Riku and Kairi and Namine, and the others. They’ll all want to see you again.” Sora was an idiot. Sora did not have the connection that the replica had to him. There were no fond memories of him - there were no memories at all. His own disappearance would be missed by few, and soon forgotten.
But someone as bright as Sora...

“…”
This really was confusing. So it was, in a way, the Riku that Sora and Riku did fight, but also not that Riku. At this point Sora will just have to create name tags if another Riku happens to show up, though Sora couldn’t possibly imagine who that would be. “…..Okay…?” He can try and believe that.
“Okay, how about we start fresh. Since you’re not trying to attack me, and I’m not here to fight, let’s just start at the beginning. I guess we got the names out of the way and who we are, but I’ll try and avoid things that would make you… uncomfortable?” Such as claiming this Riku was a replica.
“I should have known you would start with something cryptic like that. Can you explain how I knew you and didn’t? I think I would have remembered someone like you before you showed up at San Fransokyo.”
“It’s...Hard to explain.” And it was. He knew who Namine was, but had forgotten him. There were only two people who knew him - Namine herself and the one who had carried his heart for so long, his other self.
“You were in Castle Oblivion, and our memories were mixed up.”

“We fought, I lost. You took out a lot of the Organization during that time.” Any hesitation was gone for this part of the story. He knew what happened next, and he knew what followed. Anything that the other Riku knew after his death, he had known.
“When you woke up, you didn’t remember anything. My memories are shattered myself. But for a time, we had memories of a childhood together. Fabricated, but all I have. Me, you, and Namine.” The awkwardness returned to his stance, his gaze cast sidelong.
“But they weren’t real. And that’s fine.”

lunadriven:
The irony of it all was almost too much. Something that had been practically glued to the skin, worn for years on end and symbolizing that which so many grew wary of; a hatred that was rightfully placed. There was a half – no, more like a piece – of himself that might almost claim to miss it, while the rest joined the majority in loathing its existence.
That putrid, black coat… an armor, of sorts, to survive the darkest of shadows. How unfortunate to lay eyes upon it again, lingering without a proper sense on how to feel. He could only look passed to who wore it. It was a face he knew.
“If that is what you would rather do, I don’t see how either outcome should stop you. But, if you must know… it’s the former. Shall I consider the same for yourself?”
“Yeah...” He trailed - so there was a schism in the ranks of the Organization here. It made sense, since there was so much turmoil among them back home too. Axel had joined Sora and the others - but regarding everything that had occurred at Castle Oblivion, Riku held apprehension on all of it.

“There are a few of you guys like that, huh?” Not all, ringing through his head as he thought of one blonde in particular. “I’ll be the first to admit I don’t trust you. After everything that happened at Castle Oblivion, I don’t really feel like I have to.” Petulant as always, he was honest with this guy, too. It was in his nature to feel apprehensive about the positions of himself and others in his life.
He wondered if the other Riku would feel the same.

Yesteryear was quiet. He was left alone and he was able to keep to the shadows. The dark cloak did something for him, in the end. It was easier to think in the ruins, at least until the love-obsessed girl he had met a few months ago showed up. Looking down at her from his perch, he pushed his hood off. No sense in hiding if she already knew.
“I don’t have a lot of experience with animals.” He admitted, inwardly wondering why he had been honest. Deer were something he had never seen before, although he wouldn’t know the name.

“But when something doesn’t have to get clouded by emotions, or light or darkness, then its probably just a lot clearer to them.” No haze, no manipulations, just living as they were.
Still unsure about why he was engaging in conversation at all - she just seemed...Willing to talk, really - he continued. “My name is Riku.” Shifting uncomfortable, “I come here because its quiet. I just assumed you did the same.”

The newly constructed branches had been an interest to Monika, ever since they came about. Aside from the Cyberspace branch, she hadn’t been able to explore them, so today she decided to check out at least one of them. There had been whispers about Yesteryear and to be honest, with a name like that she became just a little interested.
Sure enough, the city of Yesteryear looked like the aftermath of an apocalyptic event; fauna and flora had overtaken the whole place, buildings being swallowed by moss, ivy and the likes. Oddly enough, there were occupants living around but when Monika waved to them, they scurried away. They were probably afraid of anyone who came around from the city.
So, the girl had decided to try and feed some of the deer that were friendly to the occupants of the place. However, even the deer had quickly scurried away - perhaps not just because she was technically an outsider.
“Animals sense things a lot more clearly than humans can. They can tell when something’s off about a person. I guess animals are smarter than humans, in some way!”
The brown haired girl turned towards her guest, a smile on her face and her hands behind her back as a gentle breeze passed them.
“Well, that’s what I read anyway! But enough of that… It’s nice to see you again! I don’t think I got your name, last time we spoke! I’m Monika! What brings you here, by the way?”
