Hello.

I know I am not getting a ton of traction or anything, but I thought I'd answer some questions now before anything.

"How old are you as of 2025?" 38. I turn 39 in around 4-5 days. I know, I'm old.

"Why are you slow to answering?" This app is strange. My daughter knows how to work this thing way better than I do. (I don't necessarily feel good or bad about that.) It's a struggle to understand what tags and stuff do. Maybe it's the age getting to me.

"Who's your wife?" While she doesn't have an account yet, her name is Mandi. We've been married for the past 5 years or so, and it's been lovely. Yes, we had Maggie before marriage.

"Who draws the little images on your blog?" My daughter! She's a talented little bug, I know, and her little doodles make me seem way more visually appealing than I actually am. Trust me, I am not that cute.

Hi guys!! Sorry for the absence, I know I pop online once in a while, but I haven't posted in AGES! It's been a long time, and while I know not that many people see my art or my posts, I still feel obligated to apologize, especially since I just kind of disappeared!

I've been struggling a lot with mental health recently, especially since school has been such a chore this year and I've been trying to make progress health wise... Posting on Tumblr became discouraging since it's been next to impossible for people to see my art and such... It's so hard trying to reach an audience here, and it always has been for me. Spending so much time on a piece just for it to get a couple reblogs and one or two notes is upsetting, and it makes me feel like some sort of failure. I've always tried my best to please people, especially people I don't know, so being ignored by a large portion of people who scroll past my posts hurts me severely, even when I try to tell myself it's not that big of a deal. Not only that, but the political climate in my country is horrible, especially since the recent election, and it has me both tired and paranoid 24/7 365. I've been trying hard to boost other creators and friends and people who need help, but no matter what I do no one seems to see it or care enough to share it as well.

So, all of this is to say that I'm sorry for my absence. I'm sorry to all of the people I am mutuals with who wonder where I am or how I'm doing, and to answer them simply, I'm alright. I'm sorry to the people who feel as if I've turned their backs on them or abandoned them, and I promise that if I take a break again I will inform everybody about it beforehand.

I hope this post finds anyone who sees it in good health, and may the rest of your day/night be wonderful :)

Talk to your family members about what truly occurred this day and what it means to the Native people of these lands. Find out what Indigenous lands you’re currently on and the ways you can help to support, uplift, and amplify the First Nations people in your area. Wishing everyone a meaningful National Day of Mourning. 

Note: while the term “Indian” is used by Wamsutta James in his quoted speech, and some Nations use it to refer to themselves, it’s best to refer to Native people as Indigenous, Native, or First Nations out of respect (especially if you’re not Indigenous yourself).
