First steps in the new shoes. Doctor Light made sure Sonic had the proper footware for not just running, but keeping his feet nice and safe from all his shenanigans!

Sonic AU August Day 7: Inspiration

At the moment they were all scared, but it would be later when Sonic would realize it was also a moment of inspiration. Inspired to push back against Wily and anyone else who threatens to destroy the world for their own selfish gain.

I should seriously consider planning and writing out Silver/Quint's story and maybe use it as comic practice.

Sonic AU August Day 5: Destiny

Time Man was able to finally peer into time with the help of the Time Stone, seeing two people whose destinies were intertwined with his.

Sonic AU August Day 2: Memories

Shadow Man

Memory of fighting. The sound of shouts and weapons crashing.

Memory of quiet. Laughs from chao as they play on the island he is tasked with surveying.

Memory of chaos. The world suddenly being torn apart from a creature from above. Trying to hold on before being swept away.

Memory of awakening. Awaking into a new body, with no ability to recall what happened before. A Robot Master now. Gizoid in a distant past.

Rock Light

Memory of before. Helping the doctors as they make their plans to make the first full line of Robot Masters. Helping keeping the lab clean and tidy. Helping making sure the doctors stayed healthy.

Memory of finding. A small hedgehog stumbling into their home, lost and confused. Hungry and scared. There is helping here too. Helping the child know he's safe and cared for.

Memory of adopting. Giving Sonic his name and adding him into this odd family of roboticists and robots. Gaining a little brother.

Memory of betrayal. Wily deciding he had enough. Turning their family against them in order to get what he wants.

Memories of fear and courage. Staring at the fear in the faces of his remaining family members. His father. His twin. His little brother. Feeling the fear of what was happening. The feeling of responsibility and courage as he steps forward. "I'll stop Wily." The looks of awe and confusion. This is the right thing to do.

That's how you become a hero, right?

Sonic Light

Memory of being found. The memories before this are foggy as best. But the hunger and the need for shelter are clear in his mind. Breaking into a home was not his smartest idea but he figured he'd be fast enough to not be a problem. But he was found... by a very human looking robot.

Memory of care. Since the first moment they saw each other, Rock did his best to show care. To be gentle and soothing. To make sure to be a teacher and caretaker. It was strange.

Memory of acceptance. Of becoming part of the household. Learning that mechanical engineering was not something he cared for. Learning how Rock and Roll liked to keep the place clean and given a proper name. Memory of always feeling like he belonged there even before the adoption was official. There was no need for running away.

Memory of fear. How scary it was for Wily to turn his back on them. To see those he grew up around start destroying the place. How scary it was when Rock took up the mantle of becoming a hero. Worried for everyone to be safe.

Memory of inspiration. To be like Rock. To take on the responsibility of trying to fix what Wily had done. To also become a hero. To help his brother. To keep those he cares about safe.

Memory of finding. An orphaned mobian like him. A small fox with no where to go. Someone who needed food and shelter like him. Extending the care. Expanding the family.

Going to try to do some of these for this blog! Will most likely be either art or some rambling posts.

Thinking of participating in @/sonic-au-august! It might be a fun way to explore this AU a bit and give y'all some content finally lmao.

Sorry I've been quiet. Life has got me mentally occupied elsewhere.

Yes. I got possessed apparently-

Kind of. I figured this was the simplest audio I wanted to do something with so I made it and tried to put some effort in the shading.

You know, the real question lately is if I add some of these guys onto Artfight.

Ya know since we're allowed to add AUs of characters as long as they're visually different.

I can say that for a brief moment I did think about the Quint/Silver storyline again. It's kind of because I've been thinking of Iblis/Mephiles in another context and remembered because I'm changing Silver's story completely, he doesn't have Iblis/Mephiles/Elise as part of his story. Like '06 doesn't happen?

And during that second I wondered if I should consider adding them to his story or if they need to be part of a different story. But if part of a different story, without Silver?

At least Blaze isn't a problem because we have Sonic Rush to lean back on but the others? Sure Elise can still be a princess and a NPC appearance but the other two...

If anyone is new, I have added Silver to the story of the Megaman Killers/Quint. Which is going to be kind of a parallel story to Sonic CD due to all the time traveling nonsense involved(Quint/Silver from various futures, time stones, etc). I just now realize how much info I'm lacking on all of it because these are games I've never played/watched. But either way, none of those stories involve Solaris or its parts!!

@mergedau just make sure when you return to it, you do it for yourself. a project done from annoyance will show,and alienate the heart that drew people in. Also, creating only for others will often plant a seed of resentment, in my experience

​You're right. I don't want to force the creation, but I also don't want to abandon it.

But the truth is my brain is focused on 12 other things(it has a hard time latching onto things in the recent decade).

I just don't know when I'll return to this. And I'm sorry for those that are invested in this, if anyone is. I still adore it. I show it off all the time when I realize I can chat about it. I just haven't thought of anything new.

I don't think I ever mentioned this, but Shadowman is the reason Wily even finds out about the Chaos Emeralds.

Because Shadow was a gizoid beforehand, he had knowledge of the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald in his systems. This is what makes Wily go after them in the first place.

But it's also the reason Wily finds Angel Island. Shadow is the reason they find Knuckles and trick the echidna into helping.

On top of that, my confidence in drawing Sonic characters isn't exactly high.

I will forever remember the person who basically said my Sonic was comparable to ugly movie Sonic-

If it helps i do have some animatic ideas for this AU that I just haven't done because animatics take a lot of time.
