On the two other functional Merlin confession blogs I've seen quite a few confessions bemoaning the ship wars in this fandom; well, the entire Harry Potter fandom was divided over Ron/Hermione and Harry/Hermione, the creators of Avatar: The Legend of Aang deliberately fed Zutara and Kataang fans to get them to fight, and the Star Trek fandom have been vehemently debating the bromance or romance of Kirk/Spock for decades. Things ain't that bad here.

I listened to one version of Arthurian Legend on tape as a kid, and I tried so hard to like Guinevere because she was the only female character ever mentioned on the side of the “good guys.” In the end though, I just couldn’t, and I also couldn’t seen the epic love of Guinevere and Lancelot that was supposed to be there. I was ambivalent to them both. After watching Merlin I not only like Gwen as a character, but I love the Gwencelot ship almost as much as I love Merthur. Their love is pure and sweet and destined, and it broke my heart when Aggravaine said her feelings for him were in the past. That was one of the few moments I could say I truly hated Guinevere.

In some versions Arthurian Legends, Nimueh is both the Lady of the Lake and Merlin's lover. Nothing against Freya but Nimueh as Lady of the Lake would have been far more intriguing.

Call me weird, but I ship Morgana with Shade!Lancelot from 4x09. Especially when she tells Agravaine that it makes her sad to see what Lancelot has become as opposed to the great man he once was.

I have this headcanon that Morgana was actually in love with Merlin during series two. She saw Arthur warn Merlin away from her because the relationship would have been too dangerous, and so she got pissed off at Arthur for “stealing” Merlin from her.

Lately I’ve felt the strange urge to ship Mithian and Edwin…and I don’t know why.

Brolin, Brangel, Bratie...I can't help it, I ship Bradley with everyone on this show! The boy is just too charming and charismatic.

My heart was broken when Agravaine said any feelings Gwen had for Lancelot were in the past. I don't think I'll ever get over it

I never realized how much I shipped Arwen until Morgana came so close to ripping them apart.

I basically ship Morgana/Katie with everyone and everything. She's so damn shippable!

It's my theory that Morgana uses magic to implant or inception thoughts of herself into Merlin's head everytime they make eye contact, no wonder she's always smirking

How do you get your caps to look so pretty?

Just kidding ^.^Thank you for the pretty part, it's a nice compliment. All we do to them is we get a screen cap and use the filter 'topaz clean' on it, we have special settings for it. Then we apply our psd and voila, it is done.

It's impossible for me to imagine Arthur and Gwen with somebody else, ArWen are so meant to be and it feels so good to see them together.
