Wednesday 09.01.19
Well, so much for posting everyday. Since I last posted I had my winter holidays, (yay!) But I had to revise a ton because of my upcoming prelims. (yay rescinded!) I got a baritone uke for Christmas which sounds really nice, and new year was spent dancing! Also may have developed a crush on CM, will see how it goes.(probably badly). Today was my third day back at school. It started of well enough, the usual comments from mum and dad about how breakfast is really important, chats with friends, that sorta thing. I spent computing setting up a prelim timetable so I know when my exams are, and then at break I began feeling a little lonely, and crampy! I borrowed some blood supplies from EG and took some ibuprofen before PE, but it didn't really help and during Meditation all I could think about was the pain in my abdomen. Well that and the fact that I couldn't think of a happy thought when asked to! There were plenty of pleasant thoughts, but nothing that would make me smile, which is the kind we were supposed to find. I left PE feeling understandably dejected, an I decided to make a new sigil for Future Success. I've been getting a bit more into witchcraft recently, it's a nice escape from the stresses of life and makes it feel like I am in control, which is reassuring as lack of control is a worry of mine at times. At lunch, the Sexuality and Gender Alliance met up. We mainly spoke about Sword Art Online, but it was nice to catch up with people and good to see returning members after the holidays! The meeting relaxed me a bit. I had a Drum lesson today as well and finally managed to understand the syncopated rhythm in the new Jazz Band piece. (We had a practice yesterday and too many CM jokes!). Being able to play it has really boosted my confidence and I'm looking forward to next weeks rehearsal!!! The afternoon was spent in a coursing assembly, which was dull af, but did get me thinking about my future and what my plans are for higher education. I spoke to mum about it after Art Support and we looked at a couple university courses that I might like. I think I want to do Applied Computing at Dundee Uni. It looks like a really interesting course, an the university itself seems great as well. Plus the entry requirements look pretty achievable. There's a careers night tomorrow, so I might try and get a couple work placements as the look good for UCAS applications!

This morning I had a "lie in", by which I mean that I set my alarm clock an hour ahead to create the illusion of sleeping in! It was like pulling a pleasant prank on myself, but it worked, I was at school on time!!
Physics and computing were pretty dull, and the fact that they were first thing didn't help, but I kept my morale up by focusing on a pin I had seen on Pinterest about a jacket made out of ziploc bags! A jacket for snacks. A Snacket!
I fully intend to make a Snacket of my own, hopefully before the end of the year! I'm very excited about this and have annoyed EG accordingly.
Third and fourth period (PE and Chemistry) were also over-shadowed by the beautiful food carrying fashion, and it wasn't until lunch that my mind fully concentrated on something else.
Lunch was the second official meeting of our schools new Sexuality and Gender Alliance, and I was very interested in making sure we got as much done as possible! We decided that our first action as a group was to gauge how much staff understood and talked about LGBT+ issues and how willing they were to implement changes into their classes via an online anonymous questionnaire, then we would present a small talk at the next Cat afternoon meeting on our findings and what we think teachers should be doing in class. I'm going to go talk to Mr I, The deputy head, tomorrow after assembly to confirm this all.
5 and 6th period were mostly taken up by a whole school photo to celebrate 700 years of twinning (the town I live in is twinned with another in France, they do exchange programs and stuff, it's cool I guess). The photo was taken with a drone, operated by CM and AG, two sixth years who are the closest our school has to an AV club! We were all positioned in the shape of a giant 700 and the drone flew by a couple times. I don't know how great the pictures will be, but it was an interesting afternoon.
When that was all over there was only half an hour left of period six, so most of English was spent reading and chatting. LA and I bamboozled CE by geeking out over linguistics and poetry, (I love etymology!), and then it was time to pack up.
EG and I headed to afterschool Art support to finish of some expressive pieces for our folios. I painted a disappointing cloth background and then I went home.
I relaxed at home for a while and made dinner, gnocchi bake!!! All in all I had a pretty good day!

The bake and the painting!!

For beginner witches ✨
Learn the phases of the moon and what each phase contributes for you. Also, search up “tonight’s moon phase” and it’ll tell you what moon is there that night and tell you when to expect other phases!
PHASE CORRESPONDENCES •full moon: love magick, charging, healing, banishing, cleansing, clarity •Waxing gibbous: motivation, attraction, success, good health •Dark/new moon: deconstructive magick, curses, banishing, soul searching, divination •waning crescent: balance, success, attaining wisdom, atonement, illness •last quarter: breaking bad habits, relinquishing, breaking curses, banishing •waning gibbous: relinquishing, undoing bindings, cleansing, undoing curses •Waxing crescent: constructive magick, attraction, wealth/success, luck & friendship
Use this for magick and making moon water. To make moon water you simply put some water under the moon, it’s okay if it’s cloudy, and you only need to put it out for an hour or more. Store it in a dark space.
Sun water: for ego, dignity, power, pride, self confidence and leader ship Just leave water under the sun and store in a light/open area.

one word spells
As long as you can focus your energy and set your intention your spell should work, so I’ve designed these 5 spells using just one word for a Witch who needs a quick fix.
Mariquil
Pronounced mar-e-quil
Used to calm a temper or an upset person. From the latin word for sea, mare, and the english word tranquil. Essentially you are calling the sea inside them to be still. For better results cast with wet hands.
Univert
Pronounced Uni-var
Used for faster transport. I use it at the train station to have a shorter wait time but really its designed for traffic lights. By combining uni from universe and vert, the french word for green, you’re essentially asking the universe to make your path green.
Visididen
Pronounced Vis-e-did-en
Used to go unnoticed or invisible. Taken from the english words vision and hidden. For best results chant it softly while visualising yourself turning transparent.
Lapagna
Pronounced Lap-ag-na
Used when you just need someone to shut the f**k up but are too polite to say so. Taken from the Latin words lapis and magna, meaning stone and voice. For best results hold a stone or some earth while casting, if they’re really pissing you off just throw the stone or dirt at them.
Bavarignis
pronounced Bav-are-ig-ni
Used to strike up a conversation or to continue a conversation. Taken from the French word bavarder, which means chat, and the Latin word ignis, which means fire. Basically you’re asking for the conversation to spark or catch fire. For best results flick a lighter in your pocket or light a match.
