Lacey nodded at his question and released his hand, watching as he walked away. It was odd how quickly an old crush for someone could be sparked again in a matter of moments. She bit her lip to fight a smile as she continued to watch him. She'd have to admit, of all the people to enter the party with, she was glad it was with Tony. The stares she was receiving from girls that she didn't know and probably didn't matter, didn't exactly bother her. Instead, they were almost humorous to her, since it was something she had never really paid attention to when she was in school. Flipping her hair over she shoulder, she smiled at the various people that came up to greet her. However, when Tony returned, her smile brightened and he captured all of her attention. "Hey you," she said, taking the drink from him.

Tony liked to walk in like he owned the room. Of course his ego was on a new high with Lacey by his side. He had high hopes that the night would go smoothly and that Lacey would also manage to have a good time. It was hard to classify the night as anything but one full of possibilities. Lacey had been his friend for quite some time but who was to say it couldn’t end up being more? He’d have to remember to thank his brother again for not letting he and the rest of the Romanov gang down. He kept his hand on her back, leaning in close to talk softly to her. “Do you want me to grab you a drink?” He asked, pulling away only slightly.

Lacey smiled at his words and could also feel a small blush forming on her cheeks. It had been a while since she'd been out and around the people she once, and still did, call her friends. It was nice to have Tony there as her date... Was it a date? She wasn't sure and probably shouldn't rush to conclusions. So, it was nice to have Tony there with her when she walked into the party. When she stepped through the door, it was almost like she was taken right back to high school and all the good times she had there. It was almost as though it was an overwhelming bout of nostalgia, but she was determined not to let that ruin her night.

Tony returned the smile. He was eager to spend time around his family and friends. While things had been tense for some time, it had mostly been lifted. If there remained a rift, it seemed more to be with the attitude Layla had taken on. In any event, the focus was on ringing in the New Year in style. Tony leaned in close to Lacey and whispered, “You look gorgeous tonight.” He gently placed a hand on her lower back as he led them to the party. It seemed that quite a few people had already begun to filter in.

[Grins] Awesome. It’ll be lots of fun. Especially with you there.
