Illustrations of my favourite Say Anything songs from each album (Bar pre Baseball). Was pretty challenging to keep them all unique while also taking elements from the lyrics but I had a lot of fun making these as a tribute to one of my longtime favourite bands

Conversation
Me: I'm going to go see Say Anything tonight.
Friend: But you've already seen Say Anything 4 times.
Me: Go away. You're a toxic person, and I don't need you in my life.

Weatherbox - The Cosmic Drama http://www.discogs.com/Weatherbox-The-Cosmic-Drama/release/3736192 Doghouse Records Blue Marble
This album is an emotionally fueled, journey into the darkest and deepest questions a person can ask themselves. At times the album can be quiet and inquisitive, and other times booming guitars shout out prophecies. It’s quite an exciting mix of both, that never gets old no matter how many times you listen.
This album altered my brain. I spent at least a solid month trying to hear and absorb everything this album was trying to tell me. I still listen to this album and find new ways of understanding the lyrics. I notice the mastery of how the songs are put together. It’s really an album that I think didn’t get enough cred for what it was.
This album easily makes it somewhere in my top 10. I would Pick this album, if I was ever in one of those scenarios where you can only bring 5 albums to a deserted island to listen to.
Brian Warren, the head of Weatherbox, and whatever cast he puts together at the time are touring currently, and I would highly recommend checking them out. I know I certainly will.

She & Him - Volume One http://www.discogs.com/She-Him-Volume-One/master/164327 Merge Records 180 Gram Black Disc
She is a lily in a garden of only carrots.
Zooey Deschanel caught my eye so long ago, but iremeber the feeling as if it were moments ago. She is the girl next door, that can make anyone laugh and just attracts people towards them. when I came across this wonderful album many years ago I just fell even more in love with the idea, that is her. She has voice that reminds you of an early time in music. A time where there was innocence and general mastery of the craft.
Zooey wields her words through a series of original song and some covers of classics like “I Should Have Known Better” -Beatles, and “You Really Got a Hold on Me” -William Robinson Jr. All while M. Ward provides Stripped down Guitars, that let Zooey entrance the Listener with her soulful Voice. She cuts straight to the soul on some tracks.
I would recommend this album to anyone who is a fan of music in general.
