hi guys! this is a comic i made for a final in my comics in literature class. we had to do a research paper on a topic we’d discussed in class and then accompany it with a comic with a relevant subject. my paper was about hyper-sexualization of women in comic books, but i decided to broaden it out here as well as personalize it and make myself the subject and discuss something i’ve been subjected to in the convention circuit and on the internet as well as thousands of other women, as well as give a cue to thought about how the comic book industry as well as the video game industry and even just media in general (all of which are male dominated) push such ridiculous pressures onto girls and women.

also, it feels kind of silly to have to add this since i hope it’s obvious, but i am very aware that there are men that don’t subscribe to this attitude, and am incredibly grateful that these issues are brought to light to people other than the ones that are subjected to it. 

anyway haha i have literally been staring at this for 9 hours i don’t even know which direction is up anymore. thanks for reading!!!

For Gallery 1988‘s upcoming “The Official Bad Robot Experience”, they asked artists to contribute work inspired by the films and television shows produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions. I have to admit I was a pretty big LOST nerd; it was probably the last show I ever watched when it actually aired each week. I chose to illustrate what many fans would agree is probably the most heart-wrenching scene in the entire six years of the series. If you haven’t watched the show, I won’t say anymore as to not spoil it entirely.

HMV workers appear to take over Twitter account amid layoffs

Workers at the troubled UK entertainment store HMV appear to have taken over the company’s Twitter account to announce layoffs, The Independent reports.

It’s not clear whether the account had been hijacked from the outside and within 20 minutes of the first tweet, all had been deleted. The company has declined to comment on the tweets. HMV’s joint administrators confirmed that 190 layoffs have been made across the head office and distribution network, but added that there have been none in stores.

Ever been stuck in Limbo? I have 2 days ago. I was asleep at my lasses house and I woke up in the same surroundings with Ozzy Cheryl's right dog next to me and Cheryl on the otherside to me with Mitz Cheryl's other dog at the bottom of the bed but i didn't wake up I just woke up in a another dream and from there it loop over and over again with different scenarios that told me that I was still stuck, Like when I opened the window to get air to feel it was real to find a different world outside or when I went to the sink to wash my face one of Cheryl's Dogs would follow me then another dog would but it wasn't Cheryl's it was a different breed of dog like a Jack Russell so there's me scream at it who are you!!!.... Everything felt real and sounded real. I tried to force my eyes open, I screamed to see if someone in the outside world could wake me but no just endless waking up in the same spot that lasted for a minute or two over and over again. It was pretty much terrifying I thought I was stuck in a coma or something even when I manage to wake up I didn't think it was real
