Lady Arcaders 3 Year Anniversary Raid Train

I'm really proud of the website for the Lady Arcaders raid train this year!

Let's talk a little bit about my inspiration!

While last year's website was based off of the NYC Transit system, I decided to go with the Toronto Transit Commission's website as a base this year.

I went with Line 1's color cause it's the only vertical line! The TTC uses a modified version of Futura as their font.

All TTC branding lists a phone number, as you'd need for any good transit information service. If you call the number listed on the website, you really will get updates about where the train is located.

And why did I pick Toronto's transit system? Aside from the obvious answer?

A sketch of Positano, Italy at night from my trip earlier this month!

I accidentally drew the sketch layer on the same layer as the background, so I just kept it. I like how it ended up looking! I accidentally got locked out of the hotel this night for a little bit 😅

This one's hilarious to me because it looks like the original Pokemon could be Scovillain's henchman. Went with a design for a really wrinkly and spicy pepper man.

Turtle + tornado = double thumbs up? This is one that looks NOTHING like the actual Pokemon, completely different color scheme and angles as well.

I pictured this as a rescue crew of ice cubs :3 they're little guys, all with different hats. I liked doing the translucent effect on the cubes!

Now that the event has begun, here's the layouts I made for No Glitches Allowed's No Star Wars Allowed event!

I had picked the colors and started doing some light branding work last year in prep for NoHA, so that layout was a bit of a hybrid. Really cool to see everything come together for this event. Major shoutouts to R30hedron for making it all look good on stream!

In terms of branding, I had to keep the blue color that NoGA was already using, but wanted to punch up the contrast to give it some personality. I ended up looking through a bunch of glitchy videos to composite a background with a blue overlay, and then swatched the neon colors.

Also, I know it's No Glitches Allowed, but I get infinitely more enjoyment out of challenging that concept (it's more interesting for me to design), hence why everything I design for NoGA is actually kinda glitchy instead. I think it's funny.

side note: I legit made that logo as a placeholder because I needed something, I laughed so hard when I tuned into stream to see it up there 🤣

I drew a Pokemon without having seen what it looks like beforehand!

I thought about a lil guy, and I figured it might be like a rock 'em sock 'em robot. So, Sawk rhymes with rock and we ended up with this! I think it's super cute :3 Someone pointed out that it kinda reminded them of Vectorman, and that's not entirely wrong 🤔

I imagine the shiny version of this Pokemon having blue fighting gear.

Actually got pretty close with this one. Mine has fabulous nails. I love him. I was actually going to draw tiny baby wings on my art, but decided against it cause you can't see this one from the side, anyway.

My first thought was that this was in the Electabuzz evolution line, so I was going to do something along that design, but I decided to swap it up and go literal with a swole electric bee. look at those arms. he strong.

I made a few new emotes for Lady Arcaders over the past week! I love the Kirb one so much :3 It was inspired by this video.

I decided to make a few heart icons for various purposes, and I figured that other people might want to use them as well, so I've put them up on my Ko-Fi shop! There's 26 unique icons (13 plain/13 with sparkle) at various sizes for Twitch emotes/badges and Discord emotes.

I picked up on the play of words (circuitry) but I wasn't sure what to DO with that. I noticed the word "kit" and decided to go with "kitty" instead of drawing another tree Pokemon. So happy with how this one turned out.

I ended up making an emote of Chime from Curse Crackers: For Whom the Belle Toils! I had emotes for basically all my other speedgames, but not this one.

okay so like, I wasn't expecting this Pokemon to be a sexy cockroach 😭

I did pick up on the pheromones thing, which is why I went with a sexy drink, but I was thinking mimosa rather than sexy bug.

The Fastest Place on Earth is a Disney-themed charity marathon that ran from September 15th-17th, 2023 and raised funds for PRISM in Florida.

I volunteered to design the layout for the event cause it seemed like it would be a fun challenge; Disney without the Disney. I'm super happy with how it turned out, I love the rainbow elements 🤩
