Honestly, when I was 22 I made friends with a girl who would wear her hair straight quite often. One day i saw her rocking a big curly fro and was like "wait, your hair isn't relaxed?" And she was like "no, I've never relaxed my hair." I went natural a few months later. I'm also shunning the person responsible for convincing my 10 year old self that a perm was the only option for straight hair.
