Self massage is hard because your body knows you're a little bitch and thinks it can outlast you but the solution is just to be a bigger bitch.

And massage therapists!
btw I’ve found these stretches from the WAK blog very helpful when knitting a lot:
Plus make sure to take breaks regularly - and stop if anything starts to hurt!
especially with gift knitting I know it can be tempting to push through it for a deadline, but it’s really not worth causing long term injury. (And anyone knit-worthy should be understanding of that, imho.) Stay well :)

We could literally all rant about our jobs for hours, but I can specifically rant about the abuse the rotator cuff and underarm muscles suffer because of modern social norms, complete with a mini anatomy lesson and demonstration which would probably mean Iam permanently kidnapped because they'll never live without me.

the spn drama could take a whole year to explain in the least so i’m good

Buying essential oils sure is fun, but it's an expensive hobby and I need to stop.

Not actually high key weird. Psoas and iliacus are, in my professional opinion, the most overstressed muscles in the human body and I would high key recommend seeing a massage therapist who is known for their iliopsoas releases, with the caveat that you may cry or cuss or make reaction gif level faces going "I don't want to" (a la me, I just did a pelvic release on myself because it's Saturday and this is how I spend my weekends, living my best life).
(poll)
#i only know of the one therapist in my hometown and me who do psoas releases really well#but more because i do not let others touch my psoas#i could probably walk an mt through it on the phone#but I've made an art of it

I’m convinced that LOTR wouldn’t actually be possible with 100% CGI use. Have you seen how CGI horses look and move? It looks utterly fake. No actual horse moves like that. CGI has become pretty good at dog faces and movement, but with horses they still fail, funnily enough.

Top red flag: people who say "I don't want to be any trouble" before starting a massage.
They absolutely will be trouble.

Hey can we collectively stop using the word dysfunction? Because your body isn't not functioning. You mishandled your body and now your body is doing what it was designed to do in order to heal itself. Carpal tunnel syndrome is not a dysfunction. It is purposely preventing motion to reduce inflammation and causing atrophy to reduce the strain in the carpal tunnel. Knee valgus is you putting too much strain on muscles and ligaments that can't support themselves and are redistributing the weight to muscles that can support it.
There are times when dysfunction is proper (like in autoimmune disorders), but 99% of the time, it's just us. Being stupid.

Look. Continuing Education hours are not just there to renew your license. CEs are there for you to learn and grow. Telling your employees that they don't need anymore CEs because it isn't a renewal year or because other CEs cover all your requirements is self-sabotage.
