Jim's Sterling Silver Surgical Staple Ring made from 36 Staples

This was made for a customer looking to incorporate the staples he received from a life changing back surgery into a sterling silver ring. Much like the Sonja’s ring, he wanted the staples cast into the silver. With his ring, there were to be quite a bit more than Sonja’s, 36 to be exact. He asked me not to straighten or alter the staples in any way (When they are removed from the skin they are bent in the center with a plier like tool.) He described the vibe he was going for was a sort of organized chaos. I believe this was achieved with this piece. Thank you Jim. My Charles Roman cello made in Miami Fl in 1972 restored to it’s as good as it’s going to get, after a tragic accident involving a bicycle and gravity.

I may be biased but I think it even sounds better than it did before I restored it.
