Final Evaulation
This assignment was my first experience with animation. I have always been really interested in learning how to create animations and this assignment was the perfect starter experience for it. It was definitely very time-consuming but the exciting part of creating an animation is seeing your final project and it being exactly what you had envisioned. I definitely struggled a lot here and there as it wouldn't be smooth and very chunky at times, and other times where the animation just wouldn't come out the way you'd hope resulting in a waste of time.
I had genuinely gained a lot of skills and a really great introduction to animation which I have always wanted. These skills will always stay with me and I will work with animation more in the future. This was a really great experience for me as a designer. Moving onwards I would want to experiment and play around in After Effects and gain relevant experience in industry-approved animation software.
Working with my font, Bitter, I knew it had great potential in expressing its style and I was responsible for giving the font personality which I feel like I had done pretty well in considering it's my first ever time in making animations.
Throughout the process, I referred back to my type specimen booklet many times to regain inspiration for key aspects of the font and try to gain a deeper understanding.
I focused a lot on creating smoother transitions from black to white because I knew it would bring the whole animation together and sync really well rather than just having a straight cut to the next asset which I felt wasn't too appealing for my font style. So I stepped outside my comfort zone and consistently worked on improving the transitions which paid off in the end!
Working frame by frame was originally really confusing and difficult to grasp an understanding of and I had come across many confusing situations but after spending a lot of time in creating different assets of my animation, I started to understand it really well and found the most efficient way to work with the timeline.
Overall, this assignment had given me a lot of knowledge within animation - knowledge I have always wanted to have. Experimenting with font and giving it personality through animation was outside my comfort zone but as a designer its always crucial to gain experience within other fields to understand design as a whole.

FINAL FB 2
I decided to stick with the original introduction with the large letters moving across the screen. I struggled a bit with creating the transitions from black to white with this sizing as I couldn't just resize it, I had to completely redo the asset for it to have a clean transition. I am overall very happy with this animation because it is simple, clean, and suits and expresses the type font very clearly.

FINAL INSTAGRAM 2
I originally started all of my animations in the Instagram size which made the process easier but harder when converting it into facebook size. This animation is in the style and/or aesthetic as my first animation which I was aiming for, which was clean and simple. I felt that if I made two completely different animations it would confuse the font style and overcomplicate it.

It was definetely much more diffucult in creating this animation as i originally started it in instagram size. I had to redo about 80% of the transitions because i couldnt just resize it alone as it would appear out of place and unorderly, and not flow as well.

Final Instagram animation 1!! I really like the transitions, it makes it appear a lot more smooth but i think if i were to imporve it, i would possibly change the last asset where it says 'flowing text' because it just seems too outdated and doesnt flow as well with the rest of the animation.

Final Concept 2!! This conept is good but it is 16 second which is over the limit:( The starting asset takes too long - about 7-10seconds so i will need to speed this up. I like this animation but it there arent enough assets included to make it interesting enough

Final concept 1!! This is one of my final concepts. I began to put together all my assets and this is what i ended up with. For my next concepts i might exclude the computer scene asset as it is just very strange and too pixelated. It also takes a lot of time since all of the other assets are very fast paced. And i dont like the transition from the computer screen to a pixel grid since they are both very different.
