bug that is stuck in the hot dog roller at the gas station and is rolling over and over forever and ever
Don't tell the government I told you this but the gas station hot dogs are actually just really big worms

i swear people are so damn excited to run and tell me that mosquitoes spread disease on every post like WHAT? REALLY? NO WAY??
for the love of oh my fucking god
accept some knowledge into your brain sometimes
no one is asking you to kiss a disease on the mouth or stick your dick in a wasp’s nest.
it’s about understanding why these animals are important to our planet, and understanding the role they play in keeping our habitats healthy.
there are more than just one species of wasp, more than just one species of mosquito. in fact, there are over a thousand different kinds of each. they don’t all do the same thing. most don’t bite, many don’t sting. and even if they do: hard pill to swallow = it doesn’t matter. they are important, and people are allowed to talk about how much they enjoy them.
next time you see a post talking about mosquitoes or wasps, maybe instead of throwing up some nonsense in the comment section, or spitting out a useless factoid everyone already fucking knows, you should try to learn a thing or two 😃 👍

Thank you maggots and leeches for being an invaluable help in wound care. Everyone say thank you to the countless maggots and leeches that have helped doctors perform skin grafts, heal necrotic wounds, and reattach limbs.

Just made a BIG (but actually very very tiny) DISCOVERY! My dwarf gator isopod bin has had what looked like very tiny pinkish worms wiggling around it for months now that I've been meaning to clear out since I wasn't sure what they were or if they negatively affected the ecosystem in the bin; fortunately so far everyone's coexisting and reproducing just fine, and I'm an extreme procrastinator. I was feeding the isopods earlier and found an isolated worm on the lid of the bin. I got a closer look for the first time and noticed what appeared to be antennae -- not usual for a worm. So I scooped it up and put it under my coin microscope and was able to see it (somewhat) clearly: a teeny tiny millipede!!! They seem to max out at around half a centimeter long. This video doesn't do it justice but I'm hoping I can get one under a better microscope soon.
Learning by doing is the best!!!
