I really am not gonna get over Keyleth/Verin as a ship because like, they are WILDLY compelling for having come out of nowhere:
Verin will at the very least live another six hundred years, and is quite possibly functionally immortal via consecution.
They can commiserate about being thrust into the responsibility of commanding a force against extraplanar existential threats at a young age due to the (temporary) death of a parent in the role before them. This really does feel like a two nickels situation, if I'm being honest.
What are air magic and graviturgy if not different methods of achieving the same effect?
He's even a dramatic, long-haired goth with a complicated relationship with a fate deity and, if we're being honest, mommy AND daddy issues. Look at his Netherdeep art. Don't tell me Vax wouldn't approve.
I cannot bring myself to classify this as a crack ship because it is genuinely, bizarrely compelling in character.

I can't stop thinking about how close Asmodeus (Imri), Pelor (Aru), and Sarenrae (Luz) clearly were before coming to Exandria or perhaps even before the Schism. Imri asking Aru if they are starting a new game and running off down the staircase to be the first one there; Aru and Luz following behind. Luz asking where Imri is when she reaches the ship. Luz and Imri remaining standing as the ship moves through chaos. Imri saying "I'm something, I'm not everything, but I'm something. I love you." and Luz immedialty responding with "I love you." Imri creating a wall and being burned at the front of the ship to protect the rest of his friends while Luz keeps him alive by hugging him. The three of them were clearly a close trio in Tengar; in an infinite place they stayed close to each other.
And now this trio has become fractured in such a painful way. Sarenrae believing that Asmodeus can be redeemed, that their friendship could return, and Asmodeus betraying that faith and trust, killing nearly all of her followers. Amodeus mockingly comparing Zerxus to Pelor. Asmodeus, in his mortal form, becoming a priest of Pelor to as an insult to his brother. Pelor, in his mortal form, becoming a cleric to Saranrae to stick up for his sister.
And now the three of them, tentatively allies, on a mission together. I cannot wait to watch more of this broken trio's dynamic unfold.

Crack theories about the luxon i had after watching Downfall episode 1, because my brain had Thoughts
1. It is the remaining power/energy of those gods that went Away as the palace crumbled and source of dunamantic magic (also Ashton's rages resemble some of the dying gods mentioned, someone else said but cannot find their user)
2. It is the Thing That Ate The Gods (looking at you, John Hunger Adventurezone, for inspiration) but has become so fragmented that it merely redirects possibilities from one fixed point to another, hence the dunamancy
3. Something about that tree in the orchard idk. I'm wondering about the gem and the black hole and the fruit.

I'm pretty bad at drawing kids: Essek looks older than I intended and Verin younger. But I actually don't mind it! I can imagine it's pretty common for elven siblings to have bigger age gaps.
Also drawing armour is not my thing hehe, it's good to challenge myself tho :3

“I was made to pass through fire.”
[Image description: a full color painting of Keyleth, from Critical Role. She wears her Fire Ashari outfit from Season 2. She stares at the viewer, with glowing yellow eyes, fire erupting from her shoulders. Embers rest on her mantle, and her antlers show mild charring from the powerful magic bursting from her. Her hair is cut short, with one side shaved. She grasps her staff, which is breaking with fire magic inside. End ID.]

Essek and Caleb both learn the Maze spell and cast it on each other as Wizard Enrichment™. They get sent into a labyrinth with the goal of ‘escape’, and if they can’t get out in 10 minutes, they just get popped back out. No harm, no foul.
It starts out as a fun little activity, but then they start getting competitive about. First, it’s basic races—who can get the fastest time getting out of a maze. But then, they get into a discussion about how the mazes are generated. Is it random? Is there some pattern to the various layouts? And if so, is there a style of maze that is more advantageous? Does the maze creator have any influence over the design of the maze?
The thing is, Maze only requires a DC 20 Intelligence check to escape. That’s nothing to these guys, and they crack it open pretty quick. So then they ask themselves, can we make it harder?
Their previous toyings with Maze RNG become full on experiments and deep dives to see if they can add increased difficulty. They start adding multiple levels, doors that require you to solve a puzzle to unlock, fetch quests, etc. They come up with the most difficult maps and challenge each other to get their times lower and lower and lower.
They become Maze spell speedrunners and modders is what I’m saying.
