You know how sometimes you see some unfamiliar words and you read them wrong? Yeah, this is totally NOT a tin of leprechaun farts!

OMG, I had maybe the best meal of my life tonight! It involved a Michelin Star, 7 courses with a wine pairing of 5 wines, and a Morello cherry eau de vie. I'm a little tipsy.

Surprise menu, so they have to email me so I can tell you exactly what I had. But it was incredible!

Last night was a blast!

We got to sleep in this morning and have a good Scottish hotel buffet breakfast.

Now we're off to shop in Edinburgh!

We stopped for "99" ice cream cones! Vanilla soft-serve ice cream with a Cadbury Flake bar shoved in!

We made it in one piece! Ha ha!

Irish breakfast buffet! They had homemade Guinness bread that was off the hook, yo!

Yes! I touched down safely in Dublin, Ireland!

At the hotel, gonna freshen up, maybe some quick shopping or a drink, then afternoon tea in the Atrium!

Whoo! Running out of time to draw!

Here's my ensemble for afternoon tea at Edinburgh Castle. (Maybe the King will show up and join us! Ha ha!) I'll be wearing a Royal Monk Green Chiffon Holly Swing Dress by Unique Vintage, along with Teva Anaya Chelsea tall waterproof boots and a pearl jewelry set as well!

Outfits for Ireland and Scotland are all about the layers! Here's a fit base for touring about: Levi's 711 skinny jeans in the Cobalt Overboard color, an Unbound Merino V-neck long-sleeved shirt (I'm packing multiple colors) in a thin, moisture wicking material for packing light, cushioned boot socks (of course), and waterproof Kenova Lug Chelsea boots by Vagabond Shoemakers.

I saw this jacket online and absolutely had to have it for this trip! The Couture-Emporium utility jacket cinches at the waist with a drawstring and has plenty of pocket space to help carry my vacation necessities! The straps around the wrists let me push the sleeves back and secure them in place, too.

[Note: After receiving the jacket, I saw all sorts of bad things about this company. Maybe I lucked out because it fits me great, and I can't find any flaws in it. We'll see if it holds up!]

I'll be wearing this Coolmee V-Neck Wrap Maxi Dress (from Target, of all places!) to Condita, which some say is the best Michelin-Star restaurant in Edinburgh. They have no set dress code, but I think this will be a good look over dark tights and Chelsea boots. The fit is amazing! And, for an A-line, it doesn't make me look pregnant! Ha ha!

Since I have a LITTTTTLE time before leaving on vacation, I wanted to try the "paper doll" art project thingy and draw up my new ensembles for some fit checks. I bought some fun, new clothes. Stay tuned!

I keep trying to get Murasaki to sign up for Tumblr to post her culinary creations, but she just says, "Tumblr is for artists and furries."

Well, making food is an art, is it not?

Anyhow, here's her pretty face and yesterday's dessert post from her Bluesky:

"Since my little sister didn't eat all the leftover whipped cream....

"I made strawberry compote (with a little lemon) to go over the top of mini angel food cakes with the whipped cream on top!

"A sort of angel food strawberry shortcake."

Eeeeee! I'm leaving for vacation THIS WEEK!

My sister Murasaki made these this morning! (Posting for her as she doesn't have Tumblr.)

Today's breakfast treats: "Dubai Chocolate" pistachio-hazelnut-chocolate puff pastries with vanilla whipped cream.

Pre-made puff pastry dough cut into triangles and baked on parchment paper per package instructions. When done, take half of the pastry triangles and spread pistachio cream and Nutella. Cover with the untouched triangles. Cool a bit while you make vanilla whipped cream. Top with whipped cream.

This whipped cream was:

2 c. Whipping cream

6 Tbsp. Confectioners sugar

1 tsp. Madagascar vanilla extract

1/2 tsp. Cream of tartar (to stabilize)

Put into a chilled mixing bowl. Start beating with a mixer slowly and build to high speed. Push it a little past soft-peak stage.

This is also what they call "Chantilly cream," by the way.
