I already posted these to my Pinterest and I try not to cross post often, but I wanted to post these anyway. These are photos from my drive through Kansas about a year ago. It was beautiful! Odd to see everything so... flat of course, but it was stunning.

The Towpath! The Towpath is a roughly 87 mile trail spanning across several Ohio counties. This large trail runs through several small towns and has many good fishing, photography, and wildlife observation areas.

Welcome to Petros Park in Richville, Ohio! This lake is surrounded by a beautiful little walking path. It's very easy to navigate and just goes around in one big loop. There are some tougher uphill portions but its not terrible! There is even a little bridge at one part.
You are sure to see fishers at every spot! Small town Ohioans don't joke around when it comes to fishing, public parks like this keep the community strong.

Lake Erie!!!

Honestly wish I had taken more pics when I was there, this place is amazing! Reminds me of the beach! I didn't get to go swimming but it looked fun. I think people often underestimate just how gigantic this lake is!

Photo dump from last fall! I went to Boettler Park in Canton as recommended to me by a relative, everyone knows I love wetlands! I never uploaded the photos as I was being lazy. The trail is very easy to navigate and just the perfect length! Absolutley amazing scenery, lots of insects! Can't wait to return

Fun fact! Some areas of northeast Ohio are really prone to flooding! These are random areas nearby where I live. Backroads, forests, anything can flood!

WOW! I went with my mom and stepdad for a 4+ mile hike at the Newport Wetlands! These wetlands are GORGEOUS! I can't tell you how amazing it was! The trails were very easy to navigate, there was a boardwalk portion! I will warn, the non-boardwalk part of this trail was very narrow at times, with lots of hills and uneven terrain.
I was shocked the further and further we went! There were wild daffodils, thousands of tadpoles, a huge lake... it goes on and on. Fantastic place to see damselflies and birds! We actually ran into another photographer on our journey with a camera specifically for bird photos. This trail was full of so many beautiful things!
I hope to visit many more times!

I got a lot of photos at this one, this was a pretty long trail with a lot of interesting features compared to where I typically go.

Hey! Wanna attract pollinators?
Do you live in Ohio (particularly northeast Ohio)? Here's a list of wildflowers you can plant that bring in pollinators, some color combination ideas for those flowers, a small list of reasons why you should plant wildflowers for pollinators, other ways you can increase local pollinattors, and some resources you can utilize.
Disclaimer: Please only use this guide if you live in Ohio! Some of the plant species listed are invasive in some states, but are fine in Ohio. Please also consider, many plants on this list are toxic to animals! Please be mindful of the wildlife around you that also needs supporting. Keep your wildflowers and pollinator areas to select parts of your yard or property and do not spread these seeds in the wild. Ex. Milkweed is toxic to most animals and will kill them.
Here is a list of plants that pollinators love by color:
Butterfly Milkweed
Lanceleaf Tickseed
Cup Plant
Showy Goldenrod
New England Aster
Purple Prairie Clover
Field Thistle
Purple Coneflower
Here are some color combos for garden inspo:
Photos of the plants included (and the sources for said photos, none of which were snapped by me, in order at the bottom of the post)

Why you should plant wildflowers:
(Reasons included but not limited to)
Wild flowers can provide necessary elements to wildlife that keep your local ecosystem functioning. These are things that directly effect everyone.
Wildflowers typically require far less maintenance than non-native, as they are more suited to the areas weather, living conditions, etc.
Wildflower populations are low and need help!
Wildflowers can improve air and soil quality.
Why you should target pollinators:
(Reasons included but not limited to)
Pollinator populations are declining and this can help them survive.
Without pollinators many of our crops would not live.
Our air is cleaner with pollinators.
Other ways you can help:
Buy local honey!
If you do not focus on insects, focus on birds! Put out hummingbird feeders.
Avoid pesticide.

Yellow Creek! While driving on the backroads of Akron, exploring during my time visiting here, I photograph the areas I find interesting. This spot along Yellow Creek Road was very pretty, I had to pull my car over to the side of a bridge. I think it was worth it!

This beautiful mama American Robin has decided that the safest place for her to nest is on my shed. I accidentally scared her away earlier and (I'm pretty sure this was her, could've been a different robin) she was watching me from a distance while I sat in my backyard.

When I die, bury me at the Jackson Bog. My favorite place to be, a mind blowing, peaceful, corridor into the wetlands of Ohio. This place is beautiful all year around, though I've never been in winter. I could talk about this bog for days! It has solidified wetlands as my favorite places.

Howdy! Interested in seeing some of the architecture Ohio has to offer? Depicted above we have the pristine Glamorgan Castle, the gothic St. Mary's Parish, and the wonderful Bolivar Dam! I had never visited Glamorgan Castle before this- when I learned there was a CASTLE just a drive away? I was there so fast with my camera in hand. It was amazing! You can book a tour at this castle as well, they are usually open Friday! The St. Mary's Parish was also a shocker! On a journey driving, from the highway you can see it peeking above the city! Building after building, industrial city colors and suddenly this massive gothic dream is there! Unfortunately I did not get to see the inside, they were closed, but I'm positive it's just as amazing.
There are a lot of dams in northeast Ohio, they are one of the most peaceful places to visit in my opinion. Standing above the roaring water is an amazing experience at the Bolivar dam, it is incredibly tall and words can't describe it! I will definitely post photos in the future.

Geese at Silver Park
The Canada Goose annoys LOTS of Ohio residents. They are protected under federal law and it is only legal to kill them with a permit. Many find their populations obnoxious and disruptive, leaving waste on trails and sidewalks. Some folks find them to be a staple however! The more you know.

Hiking at Hosak's cave! This place is stunningly green and definitely a must see in northeast Ohio. The cavern is WAY steeper and taller than it looks, absolutely otherwordly. There was lots of wildlife as well, the place was crawling with fungus and frogs!
Anyway who put that beer bottle there? Quite rude!
Rest in peace Aubrey Parsons.

Hi, welcome to my photography page! I am an amateur wildlife, landscape, and pet photographer based in NE Ohio. While this state and area are known for being boring, I don't believe they are!
It is my main goal is to share the beauty that is all around us and capture the little details in this world that tend to be ignored. It's easy to get in our heads and not notice the beautiful things that surround us. I want to show that there's no natural place on this earth that is boring. No flower or animal that isn't unique.
I also want to capture the lifestyle here in my area, not just of the animals, but of the people. The human history and connection, art, love, everything that is in my area are amazing samples of what the human mind can do. We have so many beautiful things, Ohio is a fantastic place.
So feel free to follow me for a slice of Ohioan life. I will also share websites for trails and historic sites, for the explorers out there!
