ファン心理

私は3年ほど前までは、大が3つつくほどと言っても良いほどAKB48や同類のグループが���いだった。小学生のような女の子たちが、ステージの上ではしゃぎ、それを熱狂的に応援するオヤジたちの姿が見苦しかった。何より、アメリカに住んでいたときには、当たり前のように「(AKBなどの少女グループが)日本の文化なんでしょ？」と言われることに腹を立てていた。全体的に人相や態度が子供のときから落ち着いているため、実年齢より年上に見えるアメリカ人は、未成年の少女に燃える成人男性を見て「ペドフィリア」と同様に考える方も多かった。 正直当時は、私もその風景が気持ち悪くて、理解できなかった。でも、3年ほど前から、韓流グループのBIGBANGのファンになり、気付いたら自ら熱狂ファンになっていた。そんなときでも、ファンはファンながら、「オヤジファンとは違う、CD箱買いしないしハチマキは絶対ない」と意味のわからない差を着けていた。実際、違うことは違うと思うが、応援の作法が異なることで、気持ちは似ているのかな、と認めるようになった。もちろん、ファンそれぞれの応援する(追う)強度にも大きな差はある。BIGBANGのファンだって、CDを箱買いするファンもいる。結局、好きな歌手やアイドルが頑張っていて欲しい、大好きだから応援したい、音楽が好きで同じファンの友達と会うことが楽しいからライブにも行きたい。 テレビでたまにAKBのメンバーを見る。正直興味はそこまでないけど、好きな番組に主演していたら、チャンネルを回すほど嫌いでは無くなっている。テレビではキャーキャー言って、女子やってるけど、実際裏ではハードな練習や訓練をして、舞台もあり、バラエティにも主演して、メディアが当てつけるボロクソに対抗し、批判してくるネット投稿等にも負けず、笑顔でメンバー同士仲良くやっていかなければならない。彼女たちのファンではないけど、それくらいニュースやテレビ見てれば伝わる。頑張る人のことは、誰でも応援したくなるもの。生きていると、いろいろあるけど、それでも常に笑顔でいられるように頑張る姿勢を見たら、嫌いでも同じ人間として尊敬してしまう。 BIGBANGが好きになったからこそ、理解できた部分もあると思う。きっとこうして、好きなものを通して視野が広がって行くのだろう。 そもそもアイドル歌手が好きではない方からみたら、私たちファンは皆同じなんだろうね。でも、尊敬する人がいて、大好きな人がいて、コンサートに行くことで交流も増えて、生きるメリハリがあって、何が気持ち悪��のか、何が変人なのか、何がおかしい人なのか理解できない。確かに、日常生活に異変が起こるほど依存していたら問題だと思うけど、一般のファンは、仕事や家庭や普段の生活とファン生活を両立していながら頑張っている。アウトドアが好きな人がいれば、手芸が好きな人もいる。買い物が好きな人もいれば、料理が好きな人もいる。カラオケで歌うことが好きな人もいれば、絵を描くことが好きな人もいる。だから好きな歌手の大好きなステージを見に行くことが好きな人もいるんだ。 他人の趣味や好みを貶す前に、そうすることは、その人自信を否定することだと思って欲しい。 そう、本当はいろんな人に言いたいけど、なかなか言えない...。完全に世間に対する反論になってしまったけど、ファンであることによって、引かれたり批判されたことは何度もあるので、今回まとめて書いた。 最後に。今ここで話している「ファン」とは、ライブやイベントに参加したり、グッズ買ったり、法的に普通に応援する方のことです。怪しい行動を取る方やストーカー"ファン"のことではありません。

テソンの27歳（日本では26歳）の誕生日のために何を作ろうかと数ヶ月悩み、やっとアイデアが固まって来た時に、急な事情で、テソンへの誕生日プレゼントどころではなくなった。

時間的にも精神的にも大変だと思い、今回はテソンへのプレゼントはパスしようかと思ってた。時間もなければ、物理的にも難しい状況で悩んだ。

日本生活わずか3年半で、慣れない日本語を使って職場でも必死に頑張ったけど、結局なじめなかった。職場のストレスをぶっ飛ばしてくれるのがBIGBANGだった。仕事が辛くて辛くて辛すぎて、全て放り投げだしたくなっても、ライブに行くと自分でもびっくりするほど元気で、幸せにしてもらえた。

テソンのライブのことを思い出せば笑える。テソンやBIGBANGが大好きな友達と観光したり、ご飯したり、ライブに参加したことを思い出せば、自然にニコニコしている。やっぱりどうしてもテソンに感謝の気持ちを伝えたくて、それもいつものお手紙以上の「気持ち」を伝えたくて、睡眠時間を少し削ってでも絵を送りたかった。

今までは、テソンへのプレゼントでテソンの似顔絵やポートレイトを送ったことがあったけど、今回は、私達、VIPが想うテソンを描きたかった。テソンが作ってくれる柔らかくて、優しくて、暖かくて、いつでも永遠に包まれていたテソンのオーラ。まさにテソン本人が言っていた「（テソンの）世界」。

山や海から宇宙まで、全てテソンの光が満ちる世界、テソンワールド。色や形、科学的には正確でなくてもいい、テソンなりの世界だから、、観客から見���テソンのステージ、そして世界観を表したかった...

中央には3Dツアーにちなんで、立体的に飛び出すジャーーーンプ！！姿のチビテソ。VIPから見た世界を描きたいと言いながら、結局かなり私目線になってしまってごめんなさいww

最後に、引っ越し前に買っていたフレームに入れて、手紙を添えて包装した。一方的な思いを勝手に送っているだけだけど、、、

正直この写真をアップするか、ブログにも書くか迷いましたが、今年は去年のようにファンアートをドシドシアップできないこともあり、載せさせて頂きました。

そして、今回初めてファンサイトさんの企画に参加させて頂き、ファンサイトさんへ郵送させて頂きました。ドキドキと不安でいっぱいでしたが、本当にご丁寧に対応してくれましたので、安心しました。毎回ライブや写真集の写真をアップしてくださったり、スローガンやイベントを企画してくださる以上に、こうして海外のファンもメッセージや思いを伝えられるように、日々頑張ってくださり、本当にありがとうございます。

Dscover 2nd Year Anniversary

Twitterで書き始めて、書きたいことがありすぎたことに気づいてブログに移動。

D'scoverが発売されてから今までの2年間は長いようであっという間だった。2年前はビッペン友達もいなく、こっそり1人でチケット申し込んで、1人で張り切ってうちわ作って、1人でテソコンで膨大に盛り上がってた（笑）。ペン以外の人が聞いたら痛いオタクにしか聞こえないだろうけど、1人でも本当に楽しかった。1人を感じさせない暖かい場所だった。

元々VIP会員になる決め手は、このD'scover Dlive Tourに行きたかったからだった。まだライブに何度も通う習慣が身についていなく、始めは1公演のみ行くつもりだった。でも、1度行ったら、テソンの愛溢れるオーラをまた浴びたく、結局追加公演の麻布の森にも行くことを決意した。そこで偶然隣に座っていた方が物凄く激しく踊って楽しんでいるテソペンさんで。ペンラも持っていなかったし、タオルも巻いてないし、うちわも持ってないし、話を聞いたら会員でもなかった。でも、テソンへの愛で溢れていた。彼女は、人見知りな私に話しかけてくれて、���人は地元でチャリでライブに来ていたのに、雨の中わざわざ駅まで送ってくれて。名前も連絡先も交換しなかったけど、ずっと忘れない優しさと楽しい想い出だった。

前にテソンが、「僕のライブは、来るときは1人かもしれない、周りの人は知らないけど、帰るときはみんな友達」っぽいことを言ってたけど、まさにその通りだなぁと振り返って思える。

2年前の彼のステージを思い出すと、本当に緊張していて、不安な表情だった。Music Japanに出演したときも、緊張しすぎて倒れるのではないか、とこっちまで心配になる表情していた。それが、去年のD'sloveでは前年よりずっと肉体的にも精神的にも力強くなってて、恐怖に怯えるどころか、全力で自分の世界を作り楽しんでいた。D'sloveでは、ステージ上での居場所を見つけたテソンを目撃できた気がする。この2年がどれだけ今のテソンにとって大事だったかは言うまでもないと思う。

そんな成長思春期なテソンやBIGBANGをここまで追って、自分の夢失ってるんじゃないかってたまに不安になる。経済的にも時間の余裕もない。正直ペン活が自分にとってプラスなのかマイナスなのかなんて分からない。ただただテソンとBIGBANGの音楽が大好きで、彼らを通して経験している毎日が楽しくて、そこを軸に広がっていく世界が素晴らしくて...

いつまでペン活を続けるか、あと何枚CDを買うか←、今後どれだけライブに参加するかは分からない。でも、応援の形は変わっても、きっと死ぬまでBIGBANGのことは応援する。そして死んでも永遠にテソンのことは大好きでいるだろう。

もう2年、でもまだ2年。今後の10年、20年が楽しみでならない。 私が大好きなバンドや歌手は何十年も続いているから、それだけの歴史を積み上げることは期待している←重いw テソンが永遠に歌い続けてくれる、倒れて死ぬまで歌い続けてくれる、っていつも言ってくれることが私にとってどれだけ幸せか、どれだけ安心させてくれるか。人をなかなか信用できない私にとって、どれだけ安らぎの言葉であるか。テソンは、テソンのことなら信じていいって教えてくれた。だから私は信じる。たった1人のファンだけど、彼の巨大な背中の影にもならないような存在だけど、これからもよろしくねって伝えたい。

I didn’t get to go to the Osaka cons (only went to Tokyo cons) for financial reasons, but reading these fan accounts, I felt as if I had been there too and was incredibly moved by each one of Daesung’s and the fans’ messages. The best part about Dae’s concerts is not just his music and of course, Daesung, but it’s the unity I feel the fans have with each other and Dae, regardless of where they are from or what language they speak (or don’t speak).

I keep saying this and I don’t think I’ll ever stop but I truly hope he has a solo world tour so he can continue to touch the lives of fans and even non-fans all over the world. His music is not just for the ears but also for the heart♥︎

D'slove Encore Day 1&2: Part 2

Since I had too many words bubbling over in my head to pour into 1 post, I have split it into two. The first one is here and this is the second one, covering mostly notable MCs and fan interviews. [Note] If you use any part of the text, please credit me~!! >_< Thank you♡

①Fake jumping In the middle of the concert, he suddenly comes up with a sincere request to his fans. He had mentioned it on day 1 as well so on day 2...

DS: I have a lot of jumping songs. I have like.. 5? jumping songs! Let's see there's WINGS... VIPs \\JOYFUL!!// DS: Yes Joyful... *lifts 2nd finger* and... VIPs \\HELLO!!// DS: Yes Hello... *lifts 3rd finger* VIPs: \\Samete Nemure!!// DS: ...yes Samete Nemure... *lifts 4th finger* ... VIPs \\ ... *thinking* // DS: ...ok yes! I have like maybe 5 songs where we jump!! I have no idea how that happened (laughing) I jump really hard!! But when I look at some of you all... (looks to fans) your feet!! This is what you do *points at his own feet* Can you see my feet? [The camera zooms into his feet] DS: Like this! (He slightly lifts the back of his heels up and down but leaves the tips of his feet touching the ground) THIS IS NOT JUMPING!!! WHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN KNOW, WHAT IS THIS CALLED IN JAPANESE!?!? Fake jumping!?!? It's not jumping!!!!!!!! I'm here jumping so hard and you guys are doing this!!!!! I noticed this yesterday and was so shocked so I'm not as shocked today, but I am still really surprised.  VIPs \\ (laughing so hard because it's true) // DS: The top half of you is like (smiles really big and looks happy) YAYYY jumping!!!! but then the bottom half of you is not jumping at all T_T I run marathons at the gym -- speed 12!! for half an hour per day!! -- so I can jump for you!!!!  VIPs \\whooo~~!! wow~~~~// DS: ....so please jump with me..? ( ;^; ) <-- THIS WAS SO CUTE OMFGSH♥♥♥ He kind of pout-pleaded with a sort of sad/please face... omg (///ω///)♡♡♡

Just as a side note, it's really hard to jump in the stand seats, sometimes even arena seats cause the spaces are so small. I jump most of the time because I think jumping, dancing, and singing along with him makes the concert that much more enjoyable, but I get bruises on my knees every time I jump from bumping into the seat in front of me >_> I really should tell him that we do try in my next letter....

②Fan interview: babies Day 2. Daesung is notorious for loving babies of all ages (he calls children, 'babies' as well lolol) so of course during fan interview/gift time, he naturally searched for babies.

DS: I wanted to give this bear today to a baby but... there aren't any... I don't see any... :( Then I swear to God I wish I was joking when I say what happened next-- MANY mothers in the crowd started to lift their babies up into the air (and I use my clever friend's expression here) like "in the Lion King with Simba." I saw someone on the SECOND FLOOR FIRST ROW (aka drop-able distance!!??) on the other side of the venue lifting up her baby -- dear God that is not what babies are for. ANYWAYS, despite this horror show, Daesung could not find a child right away and started to walk to the other side-- DS: Since there are no babies... oh! I heard some man-power earlier!! I will give it to the man~~ Then as he walked over to the man, he saw a child being held up in the air next to the man. DS: !!!! A baby... but I already promised the man I'd give it to him.... but... baby.... (._.) ... but I'm a man of my word and keep my promises... so I have to give it to the man... (to the staff) is there any more I can give away..? He finds out there is another so he hands the bear to the man who is making thank you signs to Dae from the crowd. Then he talks to the kid-- DS: What's your name? Kid \\xjviojafkd// <-- couldn't hear DS: ...sarang..? (I think? but I don't think that was the kid's name cause that's not a Japanese name) That's a nice name! How old are you? Kid \\ 9..! // DS: 9!! wow~ What's your dream? Kid \\.....// DS: Ohhh I see, your dream is so big you can't even put it into words!! You're going to accomplish so much!! I'll support you!!! VIPs \\ lolololol // Then he thanks him and sends the bear to the child.

③Fan interview: dancing grandma On day 1, Daesung chose a fan to gift the DLITE YG bear to from the crowd. 

DS: Today, there is a special oneesan (older sister - nice way to say young lady) who I want to give this bear to... a very beautiful oneesan... right here *points* [camera zooms into a giddy looking grandma with a BB Japan ver light stick, standing front row center of the arena right at the fence, a little ways from her seat lol] The grandma looks super surprised like 'what?! me!?!?' DS: Yes, you! I've been looking during the concert and you have been dancing so much all throughout!!

I honestly cannot remember if he asked her for her name or age because all I remember is what happened next-- Dae started to sing and the sweet lady smiled wide and started to move her entire body to the music, dancing to and fro swinging her light stick upside downside and to the sides, she was just feelin' it!! hahaha She must have been in her 70's but her heart was so young!! She just kept putting her hands to her heart and thanking Daesung. 

④Fan interview: lego On day 2, Daesung pointed out a fan on the 2nd floor with a large banner with pictures of Dae and the 3D band as Lego heads. As some of you may already know, it was the Dae-stan who always makes the Daesung and 3D band legos and gifts them to *every member of the band* plus Daesung. She has organized several Dae-stan dinner events for fans who attend Dae's concerts, one of which I attended at the end of D'slove. I was incredibly surprised at how organized and fun it was with Daesung-themed games, video clips, gifts, dinner, and a video message we recorded there that she edited and gifted to Daesung on the final day of last year's tour. She also happens to write a lot of fan accounts mostly about Daesung, many of which I have translated in the past. She knows I translate fan accounts and thanks me for it, even though she doesn't directly benefit from it, because she knows iVIPs can't understand what the members are saying and cares. She's not a fansite, she's not affiliated with YGEX or YG, she is just a down-to-earth fan who really loves Daesung and Dae-stans. This is why when she was recognized from the crowd, my friend and I couldn't control our excitement. 

DS: Oh!! I know you!! *He looks to the band then back at her* Everyone, she is a fan who always, after every tour, makes a Lego set of all of us and gifts them to us. They are really amazing!! She also does a lot of stuff for BB events and is really a hard worker. I have many photos (of the legos) saved on my phone~~!! Thank you for continuing to support me.

Daesung himself looks excited to see her and to tell us about her!! I was so so so touched at the fact that Daesung knew her, recognized her, and appreciated her dedication to him. I feel like it was a huge neon sign to the rest of us that he does in fact see our letters, our gifts, and indeed does care about each and every one of us. I feel like I have talked about this event over and over and yet I will never shut up about it because it was amazing. I think I lost weight from crying after that.

⑤Fan interview: mom The next interview was like a sudden change of emotions. It was a mom in the front row of the arena. As soon as she got the mic, it was like she hadn't talked in 3 days.

Fan mom: HI DAESUNG HI!!! I go to BIGBANG concerts a lot but today my two daughters saved up their money to buy me a concert ticket for today!!!!!! *aggressively points to two ladies on her left* *starts batting and waving fan board with red B* Also my daughter stayed up til 5am making these for me!!!! *vigorously waves fan* MY DAUGHTERS, THEY ARE MY DAUGHTERS!!♡♡♡ *while pointing to her daughters on her left* This one is <insert name1> and that one is <insert name2>!!! And that's <name2>'s friend, ... *pause to ask name again* <insert name3>!!!!!!!!! This one is married (name2 girl)!! But she's single!!!!! (Points to name1 girl) Looking for a relationship!!! (Looked like she was pointing I herself here but not sure) DAESUNG I LIKE YOU!!!! All the while, Daesung is being very polite and squeezing in a word or two whenever he can between her confession of life. DS: (the the daughter) Oh so you're single..? [Camera is now focused on the daughter] Fan daughter: yes... DS: Are you not in a relationship because you chose not to be? Fan daughter: no I'm not trying to not be in a relationship... DS: ah ok so if the right chance appears..? Fan daughter: yes.. /// DS: how old are you? Fan girll: 32 (I saw a fanacc that said she said 34, not sure) DS: *counts with fingers the difference between his and her age* Oh! That's perfect!!! Fan daughter: if it's ok with you with a nuna DS: It's ok!!! I love nuna~!!!  VIPs \\whooo~~~ooo~~~!!// DS: Ok so I'll put all my feelings inside of this bear and give it to you!! *touches bear to chest aggressively* Then after Daesung gives away the bear and starts to walk off, he adds-- DS: To any male single fans out there!!! You saw her face right now right? If you're interested~~~ *wink wink* *to the girl* just after the concert, stay 5 min after at your seat, right? In case any guy comes~ (to the fanboys) but it's embarrassing for the guy to ask in front of everyone, right? So you all can casually walk by and slip your business card to her ;)

I could *not* stop laughing during this mother's interview lololol And then Dae's match maker proposal at the end just finished it off for me. Smooth Daesungie where did he learn these moves? hahahaha

END! This was really supposed to be the shorter post, but I feel like this ended up just as long (but hopefully more funny?). I love BIGBANG very much and I feel I will continue to be their fan as long as they produce music, but with Daesung, I feel like I have crossed the line beyond being just a fan. IT IS LOVE. Laugh and call me crazy all you want, this is how Dae-stans stay Dae-stans forever -- it's his love. ;)  Dae stans, be proud. He is perfect. He is perfect in all his imperfections!!!

D'slove Encore Day 1&2: Part 1

[Note] These are my thoughts and feelings on the Encore concerts. Since it's so long, I decided to cut it into 2 posts -- this post will cover the overall concert on both days and the second will cover humorous/notable MC talks. ①Overall Day 1 & Day 2 (mostly about MC) During day 1, Daesung's voice wasn't doing as well as usual and he had trouble hitting the high notes, especially in "Dress" and "Omoi Tsunotte." Honestly, I think he was over-worked from working in Shanghai the night before with BIGBANG, then flew into Tokyo on the morning of his solo concert.

The first day of Encore, he stumbled a lot with the MC, accidentally mixing up words and occasionally slipping out Korean. There were 2-3 times when he would be talking then suddenly lose his train of thought, pause, then scream "AHHHGGGGHHHH" and pretend to hit the floor with his mic while vigorously shaking his head from frustration at himself at forgetting his lines. It was funny and cute because of his pouting but it was also frustrating to see him so angry at himself since we all knew he could do better. 

Maybe that was part of the reason, but during day 1 he kept mentioning the concert was only "max 2.5 hours! No more, no less. If I am in the middle of the set list but it has already been 2.5 hours, I will stop right there and then! (crowd whines) But! if I sing the entire set list and it is still not 2.5 hours, I will continue to stay out on stage until the 2.5 hours is up!! I am a man of my promise so I promise you it will be exactly 2.5 hours only~~~ ^_^" Daesung likes to joke with fans about ending the concert sooner than he actually does, but he said it so often this time that I was afraid it was actually only going to be 2.5 hours. It ended up being around 2 hours and 40 min.

This is why day 2 was such a surprise. It was as if there had been a week between day 1 and day 2 for him to practice his MC because day 2's MC was PERFECT. A friend who went to rehearsal for day 2 told me Daesung said, since he messed up so many times on day 1, his staff got onto him for it, and he would read the teleprompter script on day 2 and not do free-MC talk. 

"I will re-organize (my MC) and to make sure it is smooth, I will only read the script! I am not free (as in, not the type to do whatever he wants)!!"

I was worried when I heard this, but during his first MC, he told us something like this -- 

DS: So...yesterday my MC was uhm.. so bad (laughs). My Japanese was so bad it was like TOP's. So last night I practiced at my hotel!!! あ..!!! (Aa - first letter of the Japanese alphabet) い!! (ii - second letter) え!! (e - fourth letter of the alphabet.. >_>) VIPS \\ え...??? // DS: .... >_> <_< う..!!?!! (u - 3rd letter of the alphabet) お!!! (o - 5th letter) DS: other を!!! (wo - last letter of the alphabet - it sounds similar to お so it was cute that he said 'other O' XD) DS: So I will keep doing free MC!! I will only read the script sometimes because if I don't read this script, the staff person who writes the script will be out of a job (LOL)

I think I wasn't the only one who was incredibly proud of Daesung for having made a beautiful comeback on the second day, especially since the DVD filming was on day 2. Now onto the music.

②Music & Set list After seeing Rainy Rainy during D'slove, there is a very special place in my heart for this song. Maybe it's because it was one of the two new songs he sang from his D'slove album last year, but I can still clearly see the images of rain drops falling in the background behind him as he tightly closes his eyes and sings with his chin held high and the veins on his neck stretching to squeeze out all of his heart into the lyrics. I think this song being 2nd on the set list for this Encore concert helped my heart recall last year and shift back into D'slove mode.

I was pleasantly surprised with Futari? Hitori! I love buying albums -- so much so that I will, on occasion, buy CD albums I have never listened to on a whim just to see what it sounds like. I find the likely hood of liking all the songs on a single album is very rare for me -- even when it comes to artists I really love. So I was enthralled to find I loved D'slove to bits and pieces. Even so, 'Futari? Hitori!' (Literally meaning, '2 people? 1 person!') was probably my least favorite song in the album because of the melody. However, listening and seeing him sing the words with his scrunch-pseudo-angry-but-smiling-expression while jumping up and down changed the song's impression for me. On day 1 he introduced it as the song "you can jump to" -- I think this song was made for the stage more than the iPod. :) 

Dress was perfect. Daesung has trouble hitting the super high notes in some of his ballad songs, and this is one of them. Despite this fact, I feel like this song is a perfect song written for Daesung. On day 2, some of the fans yelled to suggest 'Dress' for encore so he sang it as the last song. It was the icing on the cake, the foam on the cappuccino, the caramel on the creme brulee. What is it about Daesung that keeps making us go back for more -- to be honest, there are plenty of singers who are more talented than him vocally -- it's the sincerity and honestly with which he sings each song as if it is his last, the humble way in which he presents himself and his music to his listeners, as if he is gifting his voice to us. It is what makes me believe in him and his music. 'Dress' perfectly captures this Daesung, alongside his career-long solo song, 'Baby Don't Cry.'

If you dont know already, Baby Don't Cry is my all-time favorite song from Daesung. Usually the intro music starts and my knees start getting weak and ready to stop doing their job of holding me up. But on that day, from a dark stage the 3 words were repeated loud and clear -- BABY DON'T CRY BABY DON'T CRY BABY DON'T CRY... -- and that was the unexpected introduction to the acoustic verse of 'Baby Don't Cry.' It's hard for me to say if he was singing those acoustic lines because it sounded -- and call me crazy -- as if he was talking to me, personally. His husky voice gently dropped each word like he was taking his last breath, only for you to be relieved to hear the next word to tell you, "...you still don't know... you're not alone..." When the lights came on and the stage lit up, and he continued to sing with his full voice with the band, he looked straight into the camera as he told us "...one day you'll realize what's important, my lady..." I guess you can already guess I was quite busy listening and absorbing while wiping my face with my Dkun towel and beloved Dae slogan. This is Daesung's music -- he makes you feel like you are not just a pawn in a mass of fans, he makes you feel like he is singing to you -- to just you -- when he is singing ballads, then makes you feel like you're in a giant party (with people you like, haha) when he sings uplifting songs like 'Joyful' or 'Hello.' 

Dounimo Tomaranai was PHENOMENAL!!! I'm sure many, if not all, of you already know that the original singer of 'Dounimo Tomaranai,' Linda Yamamoto -san appeared as a guest singer during his performance on day 2 of this song. YES, YAMAMOTO LINDA SAN APPEARED IN THE MIDDLE OF DSLOVE ENCORE IN HER BEAUTIFUL (soon to be) 63-YEAR OLD SELF, IN A MINI SKIRT DRESS WITH SEQUINS AND HIGH-HEELED BOOTS AND A LONG BROWN (probably wig but nonetheless beautiful) HAIR!!!!!!!! I could NOT get over myself my friend and I were screaming like we had just won the 10 billion dollar lottery (maybe even more) -- the entire venue went CRAZY. I have never heard so much squealing and screaming in my life. What's more, their collaboration was perfectly in sync, with Dae following up to Linda-san's main verses, the two of them even dancing and doing a little sexy hip dance together. You could just SEE Daesung's nervous-but-INCREDIBLY-excited sparkles in his eyes as he sang with his deep clear resonating voice. To know that our beloved Daesung, our dear D-LITE was not just a amazing singer in our hearts but growing so fast so much that he was being accepted, no, recognized as a talented solo singer in Japan...... oh the feels were unstoppable. Just writing this is starting to make me get teary-eyed again. Is this how mothers feel when their children get into college...

③Lastly, his words and a bit more... He said most of his deeper MCs on day 2, when his talk was more fluid. There's so much I wan't to relay to those who couldn't attend, but I feel like this is getting too long and tiring to read. He did several fan interviews on both days but he talked a lot more to fans on day 2. I will elaborate on my next post that I will be posting as soon as I finish writing it right after this, but there was a particular fan interview that moved me to a point of drowning in tears. He always notices fans and I do believe that he really does love his fans. I think this is why his free talk MCs sound as sincere as they do.

Every concert he holds, he tells us how happy he is to be able to continue singing but this time, he added a bit more. And I paraphrase--

"I care about each and every fan, and the relationship of trust that we have been able to build together through last year's tour and D'scover, and now this tour. If it wasn't for you all, fans, I would not be here now holding this encore concert. My voice is not my own -- it belongs to you all."

Then at the end he added...

"I will continue to sing as long as I can sing... so it's totally okay if you switch (to someone else's) fan... well not totally (laughs) just a little okay... but maybe you'll hear my song one day and think 'oh! DLITE is still singing..?' then please come back to me..." 

I love music. I love all genres, sounds, variations of music so there are some artists I love who are in their 70's who have been singing all their lives. This is why, at this moment of Daesung's speech, I could clearly see the future where Daesung is a grey-haired grandpa, still smiling, still singing with all his heart, telling us how happy he is to be able to keep singing on stage... with his fans -- also grey-haired and wrinkly (haha), alongside young children and babies :') 

I've found that many VIPs have a very personal reason for becoming VIP. I personally have a lot of trust issues from the building up of various... happenings. But Daesung makes me feel like it is okay to trust him, knowing that he will always keep his word, and we will always see him again as long as we keep doing what we do. He gives me a sense of trust and relief that nothing else can. So...

I'm posting all of my translations of fan accounts from the Japan Dome Tour "X" 2-days in Nagoya. I can only post 10 at a time so here's the rest. I know I write all credit within the photos but I honestly appreciate the effort some people put into including the fan account writer and my user name as text within their Twitter/Tumblr posts. It takes hours to do translations and a few seconds to read/repost, so the smallest difference does mean a lot. Thank you. NOTE: There are typos - sorry. I write these on my iPhone and my iPhone dictionary/auto correct is not quite so bright.
