i like mcr because they have a creature as a frontperson and a critter as a bassist and a beast or perhaps even a varmint as a rhythm guitarist and a being as lead guitarist
they're literally the band of freaks who love each other

Watching the electicutions at the lltbp tour made me think of old quirky game shows so I made a logo for a Draag game show where people get shot

between-songs transcript (boston, 7 september 2025)
this one was so delightful. shoutout again to gen. mwah. under the cut 🙏
[before disappear]
[Gerard]: Ha, ha, ha, ha! [about Frank] He had not heard the joke yet. I told him what it was. Good evening, Boston! As you may know, we are The Black Parade. Here on special advisory from His Grand Immortal Dictator, please make some noise for him, the handsome gentleman. There he is! Bask in his glory. We are supported by The Draag National Auxiliary Band, please make some noise. I salute you sirs, and ladies. Now! I ask you, Boston! Are you ready to keep going? Let’s go, then! You have dirtied our armoured suit for the last time!
[before i dont love you] [elexecution]
[Gerard]: Boston! It’s really nice to see you today. One more time, we are The Black Parade, just incase you were wondering and never heard of us before. We’ve got something planned for you today that’s really special, so I’m told, at least. Alright, so the deal was, everybody, when you came in, you got a sign, right? One side says yea, the other side says nay, correct? So, these people up there on the big red circle, or maybe the small red circle depending on who you are, have committed a heinous crime. They ate all the cake and shared none of it with us. Yes, it’s very sad, you know? It’s how these things go sometimes when the cake is just too good, you understand. So, I’m gonna have you all put it to a vote, you see? Nay means we don’t punish them for eating the cake, and yea means we do. I’m very confused. What’s—? I see yeas in red, yeas in black, what is happening? Alright, one more time, which one was—I don’t know which one was yea or nay. Let’s look, uh, let’s see one more time, uh, uh, red is yea, uh—um, red is yea, black is nay, right? Get ‘em up? Execute, red—no. Let me pick. Roll. Ready. Aim. Fire! Beautiful. Thank you for your participation in democracy.
[before mama]
[Gerard]: What a crisp, cool summer evening.
[introducing Sylvia during mama]
[Gerard]: Sylvia! Sylvia! It’s so nice to see you again! I’ve got a friend. I got a friend from jail, he’s a dear friend named—he’s called The Gentleman, and he told me he wants to count you in. But first, let’s ask how he’s doing! Gentleman, how are you doing tonight? [high pitched gentleman voice] I’m doing very good, thanks. [normal voice] You look quite handsome in your dapper pinstripe suit with your grey tie and your fancy slacks. [gentleman voice] Thank you so much! Thank you, thank you! I really appreciate it! It’s so nice to be here in Boston with everybody. Yay! [normal voice] Most excellent! My dear Gentleman. Now, my dear Gentleman, do you know how to count in Sylvia? [gentleman voice] Yes sir, I’ve seen you do it a bunch of times and fuck it up, so I can’t really be that bad at it. [normal voice] Oh, Gentleman, surely. Surely. Okay, so why don’t you give it a try then, huh? It’s all you.
[before teenagers]
[Gerard and The Clerk together, shaking each other]: It’s really good! It’s really good! It’s really good! Everything is really good!
B STAGE
[before vampire money]
[Gerard]: Thank you Clarice Jensen, please make some noise for Clarice. She plays with us over there on the A-stage too, in the, uh, Draag National Auxiliary Band, it’s really hard to say. Maybe I should—I should—maybe I shoulda called it something different. Anyway, there’s a few other people playing with us, um, and that’s Kayleigh Goldsworthy, please make some noise for her. Incredible. And our dear friend and handsome man, Tucker Rule, [indistinct] and the handsomest of all, Cheech Iero, make some fucking noise. When, uh—when we were up there, I was really fucking looking forward to this. You know, it’s so super fun doing that, but I was like, I don’t know, tonight more than any other night, I was like, oh, tonight let’s do a whole fucking different show, let’s do a whole ‘nother show, it’s a whole show right here, happening right now, right here. And, uh, thank you guys so much for spending the day with us and evening and everything. Oh, fuck! Wait up. Please make some noise for Idles. The rain threw me off today, and uh, you guys were probably standing in it a while. So, uh, we’re My Chemical Romance from New Jersey. All—all good? We’re—some rain damage and shit today. How you doing? [laughs] Alright! First time on this tour, possibly, not sure, maybe, I think, yes, possibly. Uh, we’re all gonna sing this one together tonight, it’s a special night, you’ll see at the end.
[before not okay]
[Gerard]: Fuck yeah. Please make some noise for Jarrod Alexander and Jamie Muhoberac, they’ve been playing with us for a very long fucking time, our brothers, we’ve had a great fucking tour, this is our first stadium tour, thank you for coming out very much. It’s real cool, it’s super fun, it’s super fun. Uh, we’re always really looking forward to, um, Boston shows, uh, the two on the—on the reunion tour were fucking incredible, and one of those nights was, like, the swan outfit, it was just awesome. We met, uh, a really sweet person today named Ro, I want this song to go out to them.
[before summertime]
[Gerard]: Thank you so much. Thank you. We wanna just keep trucking. Keep fucking—keep trucking, happenin’. Ready whenever you guys are. Lights! Beautiful!
[before our lady of sorrows]
[Gerard]: Um. We got a—we got something off the first record tonight, but we want this one to go out to Nate Piekos, who is, um—he’s the letterer on Umbrella Academy, the comic I do with Gabriel Bá, but, he—he helped, well, he created the alphabet for Keposhka, which is the language of Draag. Which I have not spoken yet once on stage. Maybe I have one night before, maybe next one, who knows. But, uh, we’re had a lot of a fun doing that. I feel like we started doing that a long time ago. Like, a year and a half, I don’t know, yeah. Jeremy’s been fuckin’—a fucking long time. But, he did an amazing job, he’s an incredibly talented letterer, and thank you Nate. This song off the first record is for you. Buddy!
[before planetary go]
[Gerard]: Fuck yeah, Boston. Fuck. Yeah. This is a—this is the coolest night, obviously. To state the obvious, like, temperature-wise. Fucking incredible. Oh yeah, people-wise, sorry. Alright, we got a song off Danger Days, we’re gonna fucking dance right now. [indistinct] Let’s fucking go!
[before war beneath the rain]
[Gerard]: Fuck yeah. I like the vibes tonight. This maybe was— our evening was fun. It’s an evening. A chill fall evening. I wish it was a little, um, later in September, because we didn’t get to see the leaves change yet. That doesn’t happen for a hot minute, right? ‘Cause I live in LA, so, we don’t get to see that. Really miss that. That’s good though, right? They’re still doing that, right? The leaves are still changing? That’s good. I want this song to go out to our brother Matt Galle, who’s here, from here in Boston, and, uh, he started booking us a very long time ago. Um, he had this festival called Skatefest, and, uh, he, uh, he booked us at it and we played upstairs in this cool little space, and after that he was like, ‘yo, let’s work together’, it was just really fucking amazing. We’ve just been together forever, we love you Matt, thank you. That was a cool year. Think Glassjaw headlined it, it was fucking amazing. It was a really good night. Oh, Andrew W.K.’s headliner, Glassjaw played, Andrew was great, Glassjaw was fucking amazing. But, uh, this is a song off a record we never put out, but, uh, but we started playing it on this tour, and, uh, trying to remember the count-in. Whatever. I’ll get it. Excelente. Thank you. Hell yeah. All the feedback I’m getting is excellent, all this direction. Hell yeah. This song’s called “The War Beneath The Rain”.
[before na na na]
[Gerard]: Thank you. That was nice. That felt like the beginning. That felt like Skatefest, actually. I hope you liked that, Matt. Headbanging, sweat, sweat ‘n headbangs, headbanging and sweat, basically. My Chem: The First Ten Years. Blood ‘n headbanging. Fucking—oh fuck. Hell yeah. Alright. Let’s fucking rip it with you guys already. It’s a fucking banger.
[before helena]
[Gerard]: Hell yeah. I think this is actually, uh, I don’t think I got to tell Frank, but I think this is my favourite setlist of this tour. [indistinct] It’s just fucking good times, you know? All the way up to the roof without ending. Good fucking times. Trust me. I feel we got to spend a couple days here, right? It’s been fucking cool. Yeah, Mikey. [silly voice] Who knows! [laughs] [normal voice] Should we do the intro to this? This motherfucker? Let’s do it. Sing it with us.
[before give em hell kid]
[Gerard]: Yo, spooky fucking moon, man. That a full moon again? I dunno. We were talking about the moon, out on the east coast, it’s much larger and brighter. It’s fucking awesome to see. [laughs] Right. Frank said we paid extra for it, it’s production—it, it literally looks like it. Looks like spooky Chemical Romance moon, from the skylight, you know? [silly voice] Oooh. Check out the show. It’s scary. Get scared. Scary ghosts. [normal voice] Alright, we’re gonna play a song off Revenge, Mikey Way starts us off on this motherfucker.
[before vampires]
[Gerard]: Oh, shit. I just realised this is, um, the perfect night for that fucking moon. ‘Cause tonight is my favourite of nights, the rarity that they happen. And that is double fucking Vampires. This song’s off the first record, it’s called “Vampires Will Never Hurt You”.
