I can't imagine why someone would even do that? what's the point? what do you have to gain from that??? fanfic is meant to be an expression of love for the source material, and something to share with others in a community if someone wants to share it. most fandoms have fervently condemned the use of genAI, especially within fanfic spaces. and they haven't even seen the source material?? what would lead someone to do this? why??? I genuinely don't understand that line of thought at ALL???
