Okay, this user @milkphreak, asked me to tell about the analog horror “Magnitoshakhtinsky region”. In fact, I could translate all the videos into English if I wanted to, but….. Dude, I'm a little bad at English lmao (I probably won't be able to cover absolutely all the episodes at once, so I'll divide the posts into parts.)

Information from wiki: "Magnitoshakhtinsk region is a subject of the Russian Federation, in which different unseen creatures and entity(?) live. Protection of the population from them is engaged by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Magnitoshakhtinsk region (Министерство чрезвычайной ситуации (МЧС)) and their Anti-Acrotid Formation (Антиакратическое формирование)." (Prototype in real life - Ministry of Civil Defense of the Russian Federation) They are the ones who inform civilians through instructional videos about the dangers of certain entities (I originally said that the events of the series take place in the USSR. However, while I was writing a review of the series, I couldn't find any information about it. All I found was that the events take place in post-Soviet Russia)

A total of 4 creatures have been featured in the analog horror so far, here's a list of them:

1. Opletai (Оплетай) 2. Ukromschik (Укромщик) 3. Jerdyai (Жердяй) 4. Lesoviki (Лесовики)

There was also one video about a disease called “Nespeh” (Неспех), entity (?) - "Idols" (Идолы), which are also related to an event called “Night of Karachun” (Ночь карачуна) All entities in future videos are referred to as “Acrotides” (Акротиды) Acrotides are divided into 2 types:

1. Fragmats (Фрагматы) This type of acrotides has a physical form and poses a physical threat 2. Kifals (Кифалы) This type of acrotide has no physical form and is a mental threat.

It was the first warning video about such creatures as “Opletai” (Оплетай). Opletai is an creature from Slavic mythology. Here is what information I could find about them:

“In South Siberian beliefs, Opletai is a fantastic creature that “braids” people, “a monster that looks like a man and feeds on his blood.” Opletai “guards wanderers from trees and, rushing at them, first braids their arms and legs, and then, biting their necks, sucks their blood. According to a belief preserved in Siberia, opletai are such monsters that have only half a human body, one arm and one leg (and one eye?); alone, opletai are helpless, but when two opletai stick together, there is no escape from them on a horse.”. In analog horror, opletai is presented to us in this way:

This video introduces us for the first time in more detail to the service in the Ministry of Emergency Situations. It was created for those who have joined and for candidates for service in the anti-acrotic formation. After this decree went into effect, the Anti-Acrotid Formation was created

Its tasks include:

New recruits are also introduced to the type of acrotids.
