I still don't get why Frisk's death was revelant at all. I mean, he's entirely replaces by Chara ans nothing changed so why did he need to die from a meta perspective?

Because he was gonna glitch out everyone else with what he did. It’s relevant to the story not because we as the viewer know what happened but because Frisk knew Chara looked at things from a different perspective.

Allow me to go on a tangent here that I think is very important to consider.

It’s something I’ve never seen anyone mention so far so here you go.

If Frisk and Betty were to fight at full power all out things would probably be a tie and both would die one way or the other because their goals are technically similar.

Both are acting for the good of everyone else, in their minds, they’re making sacrifices and hurting a small group of people for “the greater good”, Frisk doing awful things with the promise of the best timeline he could get and Betty willing to sacrifice thousands of people and monsters to make the entire world “a better place”.

So considering this both of them aim for the same thing, they’re different sides of the same coin.

Enter Chara.

Chara doesn’t see things this way, an easy example would be that, for Chara, if his brother doesn’t make it out alive of this, nothing would be worth it, he’s willing to sacrifice other people for the sake of his brother only. It’s why he allowed Asgore and Toriel to take on Betty so he could try and help Asriel, logically you want to “cut off the snake’s head” and THEN worry about other minor problems otherwise bete is just gonna keep killing people left and right, but nope. As far as chara is concerned Betty can burn humanity to the ground, he doesn’t care much about that. And that’s exactly what we need here, the selfishness of his actions clash from the opposite side with Betty’s “for the greater good”.

Their motives and goals are the opposite which is why, when they get to fight each other, only one of them will be victorious, the one who can put their will over the other will win. I can’t wait to see it
