Harbingers of the Serpent

update on the Harbingers, I really like how this one is coming along. a Harbinger of the Serpent arrives on a hive world to congratulate his Genestealers on their successful uprising. a statue of the Emperor burns with Prometheum fire, as the Prophet of the Serpent meets with his most loyal priest.

Genomarines Harbingers of the Serpent

the Harbingers of the Serpernt is a Genomarine Cult that now plague the Imperium, they're one of the most human in appearance and use this to slip into unguarded Imperium worlds with ease, many of the inhabitants unable to recognize their xenos nature. while Space Marines are able to spot most Genestealers with ease, non space marines have a harder time of it. the Harbingers will often pose as priests of the Imperial cult, spreading the ideas of the Hive Mind under the guise of the God Emperors love, this gets the population accustomed to Tyranid invasion and the seeds of a new Genestealer cults are born.

my favorite are the Children of the Chrysalis, they are all unnaturally beautiful but have extremely unstable DNA which cause s them to enter a chrysalis state, eventually emerging in a new stronger for each time.

GenoMarine Analysis

might consider polishing this up a bot and adding color if i have the chance.

GenoMarines are the horrid result of dark technology, Genestealer tampering, and untouched Primaris Geneseed. they are hungry ghosts who haunt Imperium space, plaguing needy planets who mistake them for real Space Marines.

they can produce a think resin that can be shaped into blades and spikes, which they mold onto their weapons to make them even more dangerous.

they can siphon heat from their space Marines power packs and use it in place of energy when normal nutrition is hard to come by.

they can vomit acid and can enter a deep hibernation state to avoid death.

their armor is cobbled together from the equipment of the astartes they kill. if they cant find equipment, their bodies will begin to grow chitinous plates to fill in gaps where armor is missing.

they can see in the dark, and smell things hundreds of miles away. a winding proboscis in their throats allow them to drink the blood and fluids of their enemies, allowing them to derive quick and easy nutrition from their enemies.

these are dangerous xenos abominations and they must be stopped at all costs!

Still tweaking the bottom two but this is what I’ve been working on.

I had an idea for this breed of Arabian horse that have become heavily affected by the surface, turning them into something akin to Djinn. They’re intelligent and enigmatic, with the power to vanish in a plume of smoke if they feel threatened.

Next are the Ural war horses, these horses have become gigantic beasts, rippling with muscle and covered in boney armor that grows from their skin. They’re highly territorial and hard to tame, but once you do they are extremely loyal juggernauts.

Finally are the Unicorns. I’m designing them to look closer to what most likely inspired the actual stories of Unicorns, being the African Rhinoceros.

some more Plutonian Guard sketches

these are just some Plutonian Guard Scribbles, I wanted to focus a little more on the mutations in the Plutonian Guards Geneseed, mainly their hunger for human flesh, and need to mutilate their enemies. this comes straight from their Primarch, Konrad. the Plutonian Guard struggle everyday with these abhorrent hunters, similar to the Blood Angels they must rely on each others comradery to keep themselves from devolving into brutal man eating savages!

Draemor, in particular, struggles with a need to eat the still-beating hearts of his enemies, often using his lightning claw to pull the organs from his foes chest with quick and brutal ease. some of the Plutonian Guard must also resist the urge to make capes and decorations of their enemies, though some of them have very poor self-control.

Draemor faces off against the enigmatic giant who commands the Vaigrim Imperium, Goro Vaigrim. the Vaigrim Imperium was a collection of planets who attempted to turn on the Imperium of Man, using raiding tactics these rebels sought to pick clean the drying corpse of the Imperium. the Plutonian Guard with assistance from the Ultramarines would bring down the rebellion, but at great costs. many lives were lost at the hands of Goro, both Astra Militarim and Astartes.

Unfinished warhammer sketches

still working on these, will probably post the improved sketches tomorrow. I redid Angron cause I didnt quite like the first sketches I did of him, ai think this new one is already and improvement. I may not Like Leman Russ but I still wanted to do him justice so, I still need to clean up the sketches of his braids. also have to clean up Angrons nails. I decided to base angrons teeth structure off of a baboons, I feel like it makes him look pretty scary.

I decided to include the images and references I took inspirations from for each image. Erebus I loosely based off the features of Anthony Hopkins, I used Flashpoint Batman as a quick reference for how i wanted Horus' facial hair to look against his lips. Dorn I always use either batman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, or Judge dredd as the initial model, finally I modeled Konrad Curzes lips off of Mok from Rock and Rule, a fantastic piece of animation.
