Okay, now we NEED a documentary for the making of "Wish"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Magnifico was originally a good person two years ago and Amaya was the villain. Everything we thought we knew was wrong, and I'm so confused. I wanna know EXACTLY what happened during the production of this film.
Something I just realized; based on the statement, the Magnifico/Amaya villain couple only existed between OG auditions and callbacks. It seems like they were invested in the in-between idea, given how I'm just now hearing of a good Magnifico during production.

The way she completely ignored his emotional state right there ... who wouldn't at least stop in their tracks and be like "Are you ok? What's wrong?" Doesn't she notice his expression? I mean, she just entered the room, you cannot tell me she didn't see his panic reaction.
Tumblr media
Also, again, not one.single.touch. NOTHING! She walks around him as if he's a tree.
She's all 🤩 while he is literally 😰
"Oh your magic blah blah blah ... magic magic magic, mimimimi!"
What would have been the right way!
"Oh, honey! You're just too kind! Pampering us all with your magic and- *takes notice of his expression* Are you alright? 😟 What's wrong?" And along this, put her hands on his arm lovingly, offering both support with words and physical touch!
But no. 😑
Magnifico is a VERY expressive person. Each emotion is displayed on his face. He cannot hide what he's feeling. It's impossible to not notice his mood, except you're an ignorant dumbnut!
Tumblr media
It's always only ever "Oh, your magic is amazing! Your abilities are amazing!" It's never "Oh, you are amazing! You're wonderful for all you do! You do so much, thank you for being so selfless and devoted! Thank you for trying so hard, we appreciate you!"
All that's coming from everyone around Magnifico is "Me me me! My wish, my feelings, my wants and needs, me me me! I want, want, want!"
Magnifico has always looked at others and cared for others! His sole purpose to rule and have his kingdom was so others could be safe, happy and content. The sole reason he even brought the whole "wish taking and granting" thing to life was for others, not himself! He wanted others to be safe at all costs! Set aside his trauma induced paranoia and anxiety.
The way everyone acted .... urgh! Egoistical, ignorant shit behavior is what it is! Shame on them all! Shame on Amaya and shame on every citizen of Rosas. They all don't deserve him.
Ungrateful, selfish bunch of ignorant dumbnuts!
And HER!!!! Got a wish granted! 1 day later sees her king distressed yet has the audacity to ask for ANOTHER wish to be granted!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then after his fall proceeds to mock him! Ew! That is so off the chards rude and low! Big Yikes!

Part 2.
So there we are, Magnifico got trauma triggered and the mental spiral starts.
Tumblr media
I want to rise awareness to the mess that's now Magnifico's study. He is in pure panic, he's desperate. And if you pay close attention here, you see that the book he holds has a skull on the cover.
Tumblr media
This underlines that he truly thinks a deadly threat is looming over him and his kingdom.
Furthermore, look how stressed he is! He doesn't know what he's dealing with and it's driving him insane.
Tumblr media
Also, hmm, where have we seen this before? Ah, right!!! Elsa
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, by now, Magnifico had been frantically searching his books for a whole night. That means, by the point he confronts the people of Rosas, he hasn't slept nor eaten. And by the end of "this is the thanks I get" it's night as well. So two days without any sleep or food. That adds to his bad state as well ...
He's triggered, in panic, utterly fear driven, probably hungry and sleep deprived, angry and hurt + all the other feelings I've already summed up earlier.
please, look at this poor stressed man!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look how tattered he is here. This man needed comfort BAD! He needed love! He needed a hug and soothing words! He needed support!
Tumblr media
Abuela Alma, Imelda and Elsa were forgiven, comforted and loved.
And what did Magnifico get? 😐
Magifico isn't a villain! He's the traumatized protagonist who got used, betrayed, backstabbed, wronged and given up on.

POV :
You had pretty shitty past that deeply traumatized you, yet you use that to build an utopia where everyone is safe, happy and content. You even learn mangic to keep people's dreams safe to make sure no one will ever suffer like you did.
Everything is going fine. Your people are happy, they dance and sing. Your kingdom is constantly growing because it's so great. And then one day a teenager questions you and all you ever did after you literally just told her what's happened to you as a kid and expressed your emotions in a song! Then same teenager proceeds to trigger the ptsd heck out of you because they literally don't understand anything and then you snap.
Then that teenager is super shocked because again, having your home and family burned to a grisp isn't traumatizing at all, and how dare he yell at me? Now they run to their teenage friends to cry about what an evil monster their king is that has literally done no fly harm and kept them and their families safe since before they were even born. And of course those friends say Amen to everything their friend says without second guessing, cause she's so much wiser and him not granting every single wish makes him a villain. Oh and also, trusting a random entity that glows and glitters immediately cause it's cute.
Furthermore they go and pull your whole people on their side and they all just nod and agree. No one even questions why their king even let himself be possesed. Bad king, let's kick him to nirvana, he's evil because this teenager said so.

While technically we can't compare abuse with bullying because they are two different things. At the end of the day, both Bakugo and Endeavor hurt their victims and it doesn't matter whether one person was hurt more than the other because it's not a competition. Their victims all have trauma and that's all that matters.
But between Endeavor and Bakugo's redemption arc, Endeavor is miles ahead. And it's not because Endeavor actually faced more consequences. No it's something way more important.
What I care about is how the victim is treated in their abuser's redemption arc.
I'm not going to say Shoto's been treated all well by Horikoshi since there have been instances where Endeavor's efforts outshines Shoto's. But at least Shoto has agency. Shoto is allowed to have the choice to either forgive his father or not. He can choose to be the kind of person he wants to be. He can choose who he wants to be as a hero. All in all, Shoto is allowed to be who he wants. So I count this as positive development of Shoto's character. This is why I'm not all that bothered by Endeavor's redemption arc since Shoto is treated well and his abuse is not sidelined for the abuser's advantage.
Then we have Bakugo's redemption arc. I have so many complaints.
First of all, regardless of whether Bakugo's redemption came out of the blue or he didn't have enough consequences, he is the only one benefitting in this arc. He gives a apology. But, it sucks since it's done when Izuku's not in his best mental state. I don't know who would think that it's a good idea to apologize to someone who relying on their last drops of stamina to try and run away. I think Horikoshi did this, to dramatize his apology, but it left a sour taste in my mouth. And guess what there are people out there who started referring to Bakugou as his friend. No, he's not his friend. Stop. He hasn't fully redeemed himself. For that to happen he still needs to do more than just apologize in front of everyone. I'm just so frustrated with people pretending that Bakugou had redeemed himself when he's not. The manga itself portrays Bakugou as being on the journey to redemption!
What's more frustrating, Izuku has no say in this redemption arc. From the start of their year at U.A. to now, Izuku's trauma from being bullied for ten years has never been fully explored. The closest we get is the fact that he's self sacrificial because of his low self esteem. But it's never explicitly connected back to Bakugo. He's never openly mentioned to have contributed to this. Even when he states that he knows Izuku best, (he means that he knows Izuku from his own warped perspective), Bakugou never states he had contributed to this. Instead he blames All Might. Seriously. While, All Might's hero style encourages people to do their best to save as many people as possible, he was not the one who caused Izuku's self-esteem to be on the floor. It was Bakugou and everyone else who decided to support him. But hey let's not blame our golden child shall we.
Adding onto that, Bakugo realizes that Izuku's low self-esteem is the reason why Izuku doesn't care about himself. Wow he figured it out. Let's give him an award. But seriously, what has this done. Sure, Bakugo knows how Izuku ticks, but Izuku is still out there breaking his body over and over again to save people. He still devalues himself. So basically at this point Bakugou figuring out that Izuku is self sacrificial is pointless. He has not helped Izuku to realize his own worth as he keeps this to himself. He could have told the rest of the class about this, then maybe they would be able to work together to show just how valuable Izuku is to their lives. He could have told anyone, but no. I know I'm asking for a lot from Bakugo as I understand that he only recently had this revelation, but why was it so late. The manga's probably going to end after the war and there's really no time for Horikoshi to do anything else. If only he had made Bakugo's redemption arc start why sooner than now, it could have actually been something decent. Moreover, the audience still don't know about Izuku's feelings on this matter. There are places where he could totally talk about his feelings, but Horikoshi never addresses it. It's like he doesn't want his main character to get a closure. He just wants Izuku to be there to prove that Bakugo's redeemed. I just don't the point of this redemption because Izuku is never allowed to have agency. Why is the given the same choice of being to forgive or forgive his bully like Shoto did?
I just have so many complaints about the way Horikoshi handles Izuku's character. At this point Izuku's just fan service. He's there to be cool, but there's more to him. But Horikoshi just won't explore it.
While bullying is abuse, I do understand what you mean. The abuse one faces from their peers over their parent are two fundamentally different things, even if both take on a similar form. Just wanted to address that before I continued.
I 100% agree with you on everything. With Shoto, it feels that he does have agency. He’s allowed to contemplate on Endeavor’s abuse, he’s allowed to vocalize his doubts, and at no point does the narrative say that he’s obligated to forgive Endeavor. Endeavor even admits that he doesn’t deserve to be forgiven and is even willing to accept that his family is better off without him. Meanwhile Katsuki’s bullying is hardly ever referenced. He’s not allowed to feel anything about Katsuki in particular besides blind admiration. Izuku even says that he admires Katsuki besides his “bad traits” and said traits are never acknowledged. Other than the beginning, that one convo with All Might which came out of nowhere and was BS (if that’s Katsuki’s way of trying to make things better, then he’s doing a pathetic job at doing so), and his “apology” we never see either boy acknowledging it. Izuku does show issues with his self confidence, but again, it’s treated as a general thing rather than something Katsuki directly caused. Izuku’s unfortunately stuck in a state of limbo cause Hori refuses to expand on the bullying and his feelings.

Bakugo: The Case Against Forgiveness
Katsuki Bakugo, a student with explosive powers who is known for his aggressive behavior and toxic personality. Despite his popularity among some viewers, it is important to acknowledge that Bakugo's toxic traits cannot be ignored or forgiven.
Bakugo's Toxic Traits
Bakugo is a character who is defined by his aggressive behavior and superiority complex. He constantly belittles, insults, and even physically attacks his classmates, particularly Izuku. His behavior is not only harmful to others, but also to himself, as it often leads him to make reckless decisions that put himself and his team in danger. Bakugo's inability to work well with others is a major flaw, considering that hero work often involves cooperation and communication.
Furthermore, Bakugo's toxic traits are often glorified by the show, which can send the wrong message to viewers. His violent outbursts and aggressive behavior are often portrayed as heroic and admirable, which can normalize toxic behavior for impressionable viewers. This normalization of toxic behavior is a concerning trend in media, as it can lead to real-life consequences for individuals who model their behavior after fictional characters.
The Case Against Forgiveness
Some fans argue that Bakugo's behavior can be justified by his “””traumatic past””” or his desire to be a great hero. However, these arguments do not excuse or justify his toxic behavior. While it is important to acknowledge that characters can have complex motivations, it is not enough to overlook the harm that Bakugo causes to others.
Forgiveness is often seen as a virtuous act, but it is important to remember that forgiveness requires accountability and genuine remorse. Bakugo has never taken responsibility for his behavior or shown any real regret for the harm he has caused. Instead, he continues to belittle and insult others, even after being confronted about his behavior.
Forgiving Bakugo would not only be harmful to the other characters in the show, but also to viewers who have experienced toxic behavior in their own lives. It sends the message that toxic behavior can be excused or forgotten, which can have real-life consequences for individuals who have been harmed by toxic people.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Bakugo's toxic behavior is a major flaw that cannot be ignored or forgiven. His aggressive behavior, superiority complex, and inability to work well with others make him a toxic character that glorifies harmful behavior. It is important to hold characters like Bakugo accountable for their actions and send the message that toxic behavior will not be tolerated or excused.

Note
I'm seriously tired of this fandom ignoring Izuku's hardships while praising Bakugou's nonexistent struggles.
Izuku is nothing more than a prop to them, an accessory to Bakugou's character and to make him look better.
Facts. Katsuki’s just a spoiled brat while Izuku was a victim of abuse who worked hard to get where he is now.

My biggest gripe with U.A’s staff is that they see Midoriya, a kid who has extreme difficulty in using his quirk in a way that won’t break his bones, (and it probably says in his file that his quirk registration was just recently updated from quirkless to quirk), and their only advice to help him is “Just don’t break your bones when using it.”. The boy had to go to outside sources like Gran Torino and Endeavor to even get help on finding efficient ways to use his quirk. And with “teaching” like that, we’re supposed to believe that U.A is the best hero school in the entire country???
Exactly. It’s even worse when you realize that U.A had the audacity to put blame on Izuku. Shota immediately thinks Izuku is lazy and “devoid of potential” without even reading on Izuku’s issues and WHY he might be struggling. Recovery Girl tells him that she’s tired of having to heal him, which one could make the argument it was in jest, but then you realize her tone and how she demands Izuku find a way to control his quirk or he stops getting healing WITHOUT offering any advice (if anyone’s gonna know anything about quirks, OFA especially, it would be the woman in the medical field who served as All Might’s doctor since forever).

Chapter 319 spoilers (AKA Bakugou Chastising and concerns. It’s Long. You’ve Been Warned)
I first want to say this. This will probably be the only time I do a reaction like this. And to any mutuals that see this that are fans of Bakugou, I will not judge you or tell you to block me on that principle alone. I have come across wonderful people that do like him, and were not rude at all in their explaining of why they like him.
It’s just for me personally, given what’s happened in the past along with his past actions, nothing will convince me he is a good character, and this chapter in particular drove me insane that I had to vent out my frustrations.
Because how I’m seeing it, he plays a large chunk into causing the coming conflict.
(If you come at me with ‘OMG READ THE MANGA DUMBASS’ or ‘LOOK UP THIS THING CALLED CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!’ Consider yourself blocked. Not interested.)
Tumblr media
Yes. You certainly know Midoriya best.
You, who thought that the quirkless nobody was looking down on you when you fell in a creak and was simply wishing to help you out.
You, who thought that the quirkless nobody actually HAD a quirk all along and was simply hiding it just to make you look stupid.
You, who is seen to “socialize” with two or three individuals “normally”, and none of them were Izuku. And even then, they’re the ones that are force to initiate contact.
You, who when you interact with Izuku, is only for your benefit of learning all about his quirk, or to belittle him, and never to try to know him as a person.
Yes, you CERTAINLY know Izuku best.
Tumblr media
1. Your catchphrase as a hero is “DIE!” and you howl and snap at the slightest thing that annoys you. You have NO room to judge on who’s insane.
2. You’re correct, Deku doesn’t have any self worth.
And who’s to blame for that, again? Do you even have the slightest clue?
3. I mean he trashed-talked Deku, he trashed-talked the other OFA users, HEY why not trash talk All Might too??? And while we’re at it, REDIRECT THE BLAME OF IZUKU’S LACK OF SELF-WORTH ONTO YOUR SUPPOSED IDOL!
Tumblr media
Jesus, he’s keeping that entire stupid name. You literally took Jeanist and Midnight’s advice and said “Fuck that”, didn’t you?
And thank you Horikoshi, for making sure that Yaoyorozu has no spine.
Jirou? Kaminari? Todoroki? You gonna tell this asshole to not shout at someone who’s been nothing but supportive to you? No? K.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Truly, he’s had a plethora of Character Development. A far cry from how he was at the start of the series.
God you’re an asshole.
Tumblr media
This.
This is unacceptable.
Midoriya’s first two friends blindly siding with his abuser.
This is hurtful to see.
Again, Bakugou, you have no goddamn room to mock Deku about being an All Might wannabe when your cringy ass name has “Might” in it. Sit down and shut the fuck up.
Also Iida, change his mind on what?!?!? No one asks him WHY he’s distanced himself or allowed him to explain! You all just showed up, with no indications that any of you are actually happy or relieved to see him alive, and essentially allowed Bakugou to turn it into an ultimatum!
This chapter’s name is called Friends. From the tone that I am seeing as of now, the title is false advertising.
Literally, how is it that we aren’t allowed to see anyone from 1-A happy to see Midoriya? Why isn’t anyone voicing a push to simply allow him to explain himself? Why is everyone on board for attacking a bruised and exhausted person, who they all called their friend? Why is no one acting like a goddamn hero and stepping in to help someone who clearly needs help?!?
Todoroki?!? Tokoyami?!? Asui?!?! Ashido?!? Shoji?!? Kirishima?!? Iida?!?
URARAKA?!?!?!?!?
Jesus, maybe 320 will prove me wrong but this looks like it’s meant to simply serve as Deku vs Bakugou 3 featuring all 1-A students. And that’s so stupid that NOW is the time to do it.
Whoever wins or loses, Midoriya will be betrayed by the ones he’s struggling so hard to protect. If he wins, there’s nineteen people that will be wounded and in need of medical care while out in the rain. If loses, then he’s reliving his entire childhood again, only this time, with his ‘friends’.
With fucking Bakugou leading the charge again.
I’m sorry but this chapter highlights why Bakugou continues to remain a stagnant character despite what so many people claim. And he once again shows he has no regard for anyone other than himself, especially Midoriya.
You know how he could have shown he was concerned for Midoriya? By not getting involved directly. Deku joined the others in saving Bakugou, but he prompted Kirishima to be the one to reach out and save him, the one person who Bakugou had an iota of respect for.
Bakugou could have prompted something similar. Either not be with the group at all, or join but only to be there on the off chance things go sideways. And he would allow only Iida, Todoroki and Uraraka to be the ones to talk to him, to reach out for him, to help him. Because he is self-aware that he is not good with emotions and that Deku needs help.
But fuck that! Get the whole gang to go after one person to attack, apprehend and drag him back with them against his will.
Sound familiar?
Tumblr media
How no one else realizes this is a mystery.
Again, maybe 320 will prove otherwise, but all I can say is…I am not happy with how this turning out. And given how anything with Bakugou as the main focus usually twists in whatever way possible to make sure HE looks good, I will only continue to hate him even more.
If you are at this point, thank you for putting up with this. I am just… tired of this character. He continues to warp and ruin so many aspects of the story and he doesn’t bring anything important or interesting to the table. He destroys his own character development by himself. And he continues to prove why he has NO real business in being a hero or a main character.
To this day, he remains a spiteful, narcissistic, condescending bully that gets joy in harming others, especially Midoriya.
Fuck this character, Hori should’ve killed him when he had the chance.

About Bakugo again.
He shouldn’t have been allowed to get into UA after the horrible things he’s done. That was just a free pass on being able to do anything and get away with it.
They basically said that he gets a pass because he’s talented. It’s like they value his quirks strength over his actions.
And they show that Bakugo really doesn’t seem to care that Izuku saved his life.
Bakugo is, in my opinion, the most overrated character in the entire fandom. He’s an irredeemable, horrible, human being, but somehow, people find the need to make excuses for his actions and make him seem like he’s a kind, caring, loving person. That just makes me mad.
He’s a selfish person who only gets away with his actions by being “talented”. He gets away with his actions because the adults, especially his parents and teachers, don’t really care.
It’s horrible that people actually like this character after what he’s done.
To be honest, it kind of feels like the story keeps trying to make Bakugo better, but then it just throws his character development in the trash immediately.
His actions were terrible, his words were terrible, and he definitely needs to be put in his place by other characters.
Even after so many chances to change, he still does whatever he wants and faces no consequences for his actions.
He needs to be called out for his actions, and then have to reflect on them and realize just how terrible his actions were.
He needs to be taught proper respect for others, and that no one needs to put up with his crap anymore.
Honestly, just seeing him be put in his place is more than enough for me. That’s my dream. To see Bakugo be hit in the face with humility.
He needs a real punishment, not just a slap on the wrist. Bakugo didn’t learn a single lesson. It’s like he’s completely incapable of learning how to be a good person.
What does this guy need to finally snap him out of this delusion that he’s the best?
Bakugo has done so many things to people and he’s never held accountable for it.
I believe he really doesn’t deserve forgiveness for what he’s done, he’s done too much to earn it.
