Las Nevadas. One of the most powerful countries in the eyes of most. If only people could see what was behing it all. It was constant fighting between you and Quackity. There was constant amounts of Quackity yelling at Charlie and Foolish. There was constant bickering between Purpled and Quackity, and constant lies.

The lies were the worst part about it. Whether it was something small or something bigger, Quackity would constantly lie. From "I promise I'll get the machine fixed" to the "I love yous" he'd whisper to you before bed every night. You werent sure when they became lies, or when he became a liar, but it was getting old.

"Y/N? Did you fix the machine?" Quackity asked, to which you nodded. "Yeah I did. After you lied about saying you were gonna fix it for 4 months, I did it myself." You replied, making quackity tilt is head. "I was gonna fix it." "Sure you were. I dont even think i can trust you anymore. After all the lies? All the times you said you weren't gonna torture dream but you did anyway? Or all the times you said you were gonna stop yelling at Purpled for no reason? When does it end? When you say I love you to me at night? Do you mean that?" You questioned, your voice breaking with each word. "Of course I do." He replied while looking away from your eyes, causing one of your tears to fall. "You look away when you lie by the way." You cried, pushing past him and out the door.

But for a brief moment, they were told the opposite was true.

They were told that there is nothing wrong with who they are or who they like.

They were told that this one thing about them doesn’t change who they are.

They were told that in this dumpster fire of a planet, that they are not alone.

And at that moment, they are happy and at peace.

And you can’t take that away.

Again, you can try, and for a while, it might seem like you succeeded.

But your child will always come back to that moment.

Hell, your child might even make stories of their own, featuring characters that can give the same feeling they felt all those years ago.

And kids who will see those characters will continue to make more themselves.

To make others feel like they are heard in a way they never did before seeing some goofy cartoon aimed at children.

And that’s why this isn’t going away.

No matter how badly you want it to.
