Narcissists are pre-disposed to prey on people with certain qualities.
Narcissists are pre-disposed to target people with certain qualities.
Narcissists do target certain personalities.  They see  a  certain consistency with the victims they pick.
They like to prey upon people who have good character traits and that have empathy.
They choose people who are smart strong and of a high moral standard. They pick out winners and people who are altruistic.
They wish only to destroy these kinds of people and they hope to leave them with only a shell of what they once were.
They look for quality supply and the truth of the matter is yes they do a lot of damage
The narcissists can't change like their victims can and they are doomed to doing the same destructive things to people until it catches up with them.
Narcissists don't get away with anything because in the end they are left lonely empty and unhappy.
Please try to learn as much as you can so you can recognize narcissists easier and can avoid them.
Knowledge is empowering and it will help you to recognize predators , understand situation and help victims.

What makes narcissist dangerous
For all intents and purposes, the psychopath is born without the underpinnings of a conscience. This person is both, a sociopath and a Narcissist. Psychopaths have no guilt, no remorse, the cannot form attachments to anything or anyone. They cannot, or will not, change their behavior in order to 'fit in' with society. Though, they are extremely charismatic and charming, and have absolute control of their emotions and behaviors, they simply don't care. A vast majority of these individuals are in prison.
Psychopaths are very insensitive with increased general agitation and rage that can be masked.
Narcissists are hyper sensitive to any perceived rejection, reactive and abusive mainly in private, or slanders, stalks and defames the person they abuse or even sometimes idolize…and everything is an attack on them, someone’s success, any rejection is a slight against them
The Narcissist is NOT a criminal. The Narcissist is born with the genetic predispositions necessary to develop a conscious and are the least likely of these three to break the law, as such. These individuals were deeply and profoundly 'wounded' in toddlerhood, and as a response have constructed a facade around themselves of grandiosity and perfection. Narcissists are, emotionally, like children, but, because they are grown, have all the intentionality, strength, intelligence, and capabilities of the adults they are. This is what makes the Narcissist so dangerous.

Early signs of mental illness
Major mental illnesses such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder rarely appear “out of the blue.” Most often family, friends, teachers or individuals themselves begin to recognize small changes or a feeling that “something is not quite right” about their thinking, feelings or behavior before a illness appears in its full-blown form.
Learning about developing symptoms, or early warning signs, and taking action can help ensure prompt treatment. Early intervention CAN help reduce the severity of an illness and interruptions in quality of life and functions. It may even be possible to delay or prevent a major mental illness altogether.

Understanding Mania
Tumblr media
Mania, or a manic phase, is a period of 1 week or more in which a person experiences a change in behavior that drastically affects their functioning.
Mania is different from hypomania because hypomania does not cause a major deficit in social or occupational functioning, and it is a period of at least 4 days rather than 1 week.
The defining characteristics of mania are increased talkativeness, rapid speech, decreased need for sleep, racing thoughts, distractibility, increase in goal-directed activity, and psychomotor agitation.
Some other hallmarks of mania are an elevated or expansive mood, mood lability, impulsivity, irritability, and grandiosity.
If the individual experiencing these symptoms requires hospitalization, then this period automatically qualifies as true mania and not hypomania, even if the symptoms are present for less than one week.
Mania must be distinguished from heightened energy and altered functioning that arises from substance use, medical conditions, or other causes.
Mania is a "natural" state which is the characteristic of bipolar disorder.
Tumblr media
A single manic phase is sufficient to make the diagnosis of bipolar disorder, although most cases of bipolar also involve hypomanic and depressed episodes.
Many families bring their loved ones to the emergency room due to the excessive behavioral changes they have noticed over a brief period.
Patients amid a manic phase commonly engage in goal-directed activities that may result in harmful consequences, such as spending excessive money, starting businesses unprepared, traveling, or promiscuity.
Many patients engage in property damage or even harm themselves or others through verbal or physical assaults.
They may also become highly aggressive, agitated, or irritable.
Although the patient may have poor insight and may not recognize they are behaving out of the norm, it becomes apparent to family or friends that this behavior may be due to mental illness.
Tumblr media
Mania also commonly presents with psychotic features, which include delusions or hallucinations.
Many patients endorse grandiose delusions, believing they are high-level operatives such as spies, government officials, members of secret agencies, or that they are knowledgeable professionals (even when they have no such background).
These individuals may also experience auditory or visual hallucinations, which only present when they are in the manic phases.
Some of the most common delusions are delusions of paranoia, in which patients believe that people are stalking, targeting, or surveilling them.
They may believe this to be done by government agencies, gangs, or others.
These patients are highly unlikely to respond to outsiders’ views on their psychosis as well as their mania.
A component of the manic phase is that generally, the individuals themselves do not realize what is happening (poor insight). The problem is mainly noticed by others, including family members, friends, and even strangers or police.
Rapid cycling in bipolar disorder is defined as having at least 4 or more mood episodes in a 12-month period.
These mood episodes may be manic, hypomanic, or depressive but must meet their full diagnostic and duration criteria.
These episodes must be separated by periods of partial or full remission of at least 2 months or be separated by a switch to an episode of opposite polarities, such as mania or hypomania to major depressive episodes.
Switching from mania to hypomania or vice-versa would not qualify because they are not opposite polarity. Rapid cycling bipolar disorder patients have been found to be more resistant to pharmacotherapy.

Difference between a psychopath and narcissist
Psychopaths and narcissists are two distinct personality types often confused due to overlapping traits like manipulation and lack of empathy.
Tumblr media
Core Motivation: Ego vs. Control
Narcissists: Narcissists are primarily driven by a need for validation and admiration. Their sense of self-worth is fragile, and they often seek constant reinforcement to maintain their inflated self-image. Psychopaths: Psychopaths are motivated by power, control, and self-serving goals. Unlike narcissists, their self-esteem isn’t dependent on others’ opinions—they manipulate and exploit purely for personal gain. Key Difference: Narcissists crave admiration to bolster their ego, while psychopaths focus on achieving dominance and control without regard for validation.
Emotional Depth
Narcissists: Narcissists experience emotions such as anger, envy, and shame, especially when their ego is threatened. However, they struggle to empathize with others and often display superficial emotional responses. Psychopaths: Psychopaths are emotionally cold and rarely experience genuine feelings like guilt or remorse. They may mimic emotions to manipulate others but lack emotional depth. Key Difference: Narcissists may display genuine emotional reactions tied to their ego, while psychopaths are emotionally detached and calculating.
Empathy Levels
Narcissists: Narcissists have limited empathy, often showing concern for others only when it benefits them. Their lack of empathy stems from their preoccupation with their own needs. Psychopaths: Psychopaths completely lack empathy. They are indifferent to the suffering of others and view people as tools to be used for their objectives. Key Difference: Narcissists may display selective empathy, but psychopaths are devoid of empathy altogether.
Tumblr media
Manipulative Behavior
Narcissists: Narcissists manipulate others to gain admiration or maintain their superiority. Their manipulation is often more transparent, driven by their need for validation. Psychopaths: Psychopaths are master manipulators. They plan their actions meticulously, often deceiving others with charm and calculating moves to achieve their goals. Key Difference: Narcissistic manipulation is tied to ego needs, whereas psychopathic manipulation is strategic and often more dangerous.
Interpersonal Relationships
Narcissists: Narcissists may form relationships but struggle to maintain them due to their self-centered nature. They often use others as a means to feel important. Psychopaths: Psychopaths view relationships purely as transactions. They exploit others for personal gain and lack genuine attachment or emotional connection. Key Difference: Narcissists seek relationships for admiration; psychopaths see them as opportunities for exploitation.
Long-Term Behavior
Narcissists: Over time, narcissists may alienate others due to their neediness and lack of accountability. Their self-destructive tendencies often lead to damaged reputations or relationships. Psychopaths: Psychopaths are often more composed and calculated, making them harder to detect. They may lead successful, albeit unethical, lives, as they’re skilled at avoiding consequences. Key Difference: Narcissists’ behavior is more overt and ego-driven, while psychopaths operate under the radar with calculated precision.
Criminal Tendencies
Narcissists: Narcissists are less likely to engage in outright criminal behavior unless it aligns with their need for recognition or revenge. Psychopaths: Psychopaths are more prone to criminal activities, especially those involving deception, violence, or financial fraud. Their lack of remorse allows them to commit crimes without hesitation. Key Difference: Psychopaths are more likely to exhibit antisocial and criminal tendencies than narcissists.
Can They Change?
Narcissists: With therapy and self-awareness, some narcissists can develop healthier behaviors, though change is often slow and difficult. Psychopaths: Psychopaths rarely change, as their lack of emotional depth and empathy makes them resistant to therapeutic interventions. Key Difference: Narcissists may show some capacity for growth; psychopaths are largely resistant to change.
Interpersonal RelatUionships
Narcissists: Narcissists may form relationships but struggle to maintain them due to their self-centered nature. They often use others as a means to feel important. Psychopaths: Psychopaths view relationships purely as transactions. They exploit others for personal gain and lack genuine attachment or emotional connection. Key Difference: Narcissists seek 'relationships' for admiration; psychopaths see them as opportunities for exploitation.

Understanding these differences is crucial for managing relationships with such individuals and protecting your well-being

Some of you may deny the existence of narcissist personality or disorder.
If you are one of them then, you are too, too supeficial and trying to more than oversimplify or over straight jacket things.
More specifically classified narcissist personalities are real so are their tricks and tactics. Preponderence of probabilities are that you yourself are a narcissist if you deny the existence of narcissists.
It is apt to call the highly skilfull emotional violence perpetuated by a narcissist as "Narcissist Abuse"!
