To and fro
To and fro
Whispering spells
Weaving forms
Spiderwebs clinging to petals and leaves
And so the wheel turns
And so do turn we
Summer to autumn
Spring to summer
Can you bring a heart’s desire?
Thyme to heal
Lavender for purity
Finally Sage for happiness and sorrow
Till tomorrow, till tomorrow

As I go
To and fro
Feelings wrap around my soul
Fingers picking at dead leaves
Pruning roses
That’s my bliss
Whisper secrets to a plant
Share a smile
Knowing laugh

I will stand against you
If I must
For when mint overgrows
Takes over other plants
It is out alone in a pot
Away from everyone else.
You must learn to respect those around you
If you wish to have the same given to you
Boundaries, I set
So in your pot you shall sit.

No.
You do not get to dictate my feelings,
My thoughts
My existence.
You are not allowed to be the thorns
In my sides
In my chest.
No.
I will not allow you that.
I am not blind.
Stop painting me as so.

All these flowers
but none of them are you
And you don’t want me
Do you?
Your thorns don’t prick
But your petals turn away
I’m no longer the one you desire
I’m no longer your bee
Dear mint
I wish it wasn’t this way

Not every quirk I write
Is grand
But it is
Mine.
And that is enough.
I am enough.

Am I just pretty words
No one understands?
Or does your heart squeeze
Each time you read me?
Do you feel what I feel?
Are we one and the same,
Distanced by two entities?

A battle of wits
My dear writer
While I brew us mint tea
Show me your proudest
Wildest dreams
And I too
Will bear
Fragile wings

In your pocket there is poetry
If you just tug it out
Allow it to be set free
Flow gently out of your mouth
Let it grow around you like vines
Pretty petals of letters and sounds

I hope every breeze
Kisses your head
And takes care of you
Every time they sweep by you
I hope that care and love befall you
The silent hugs
From me

Rosy noses
Dripping from the cold
Chamomile and lavender
Scent the air
Peace

I am one of you
little wonderer
With whiskers and twitchy tails
Wide eyes fearful and curious all the same
You cross my path and I cross yours
With the scent of camomile between us
We go along our way

And I will be Dickinson
Poetry will flow through my fingers
Like gentle dewdrops upon petals
I will bare my emotions with artistic flicks
Trusting that one day they will reach you
Whoever you may be
A feather
A drop of spilled ink
This is a promise

You freed yourself
From the cage I made
Insecurities
One day I’ll learn
To love is not to close
But to watch bloom
Quietly

Every garden needs rain
To make it grow strong
The worst of weather
Brings the most beautiful colours

In but three days
The cherry blossoms bloomed
White, innocent, delicate
So must I be
And when the wind blows
I’ll twirl down upon it
At peace

Two springs together
We spent
Watching flowers bloom
This spring
I must find solace
Alone
