Alola has a type specialist for EVERY TYPE except Ice! AND LUSAMINE WAS RIGHT THERE. A CRAZY LADY WHO LIKED FREEZING "PERFECT" POKÉMON.

She could've has Froslass, Alolan Ninetales, Alolan Sandslash, Jynx and LAPRAS. A RARE, PRETTY POKÉMON. AND ENDANGERED, SO IT NEEDS PROTECTION. AND WHAT DOES THE AETHER FOUNDATION DO? PROTECT POKÉMON!

AND IN THE MOTHER BEAST BATTLE AGAINST HER, SHE COULD'VE HAD A NEW 6TH POKÉMON, AN ICE TYPE ULTRA BEAST.

I'm thinking Ice/Electric, to fit the Aether Foundation's color theme. UB Crystal. Humanoidish and ethereally beautiful, but it has cracks all over, like veins. And those cracks glow with lightning! Anything it touches is frozen in ice, which it then electrocutes, shattering the frozen thing into glittering dust. And it could look similar to Gladion, like how Niheligo looks similar to Lillie

Omori headcanon:

Sunny is adopted by Hero and Kel's parents after he tells the truth. I mean. Where was the food in the fridge? There was that ONE cold steak. And why did she never get him a therapist? Maybe she didn't know what Sunny did, but SURELY she could see he wasn't ok!

But anyways that's all context for the headcanon. The ACTUAL headcanon is that after adopting Sunny, Kel's mom goes Mrs. Weasley on Sunny, constantly mentioning how thin Sunny is, how he needs to eat more, and making him a crap ton of food

I realized something:

If Pokémon were real, them knowing a special move if they're a physical attacker and a physical move if they're a special attacker may actually b beneficial.

Say a Machamp has picked up your Gallade and pinned its arms and legs with its strength, making Gallade unable to use its moves like Close Combat or Psycho Cut. A sudden Psybeam to the face may shock the Machamp into dropping the Gallade and provide an opening! And it'd also help against airborne opponents that the Gallade normally wouldn't b able to reach.

Special moves seem to require just a bit of charge b4 they're unleashed. Say a Machamp has cornered your Gardevoir and is pummeling it, breaking the Gardevoir's concentration b4 it can unleash a Moonblast or Psychic. A sudden Fire Punch may surprise the Machamp enough to provide an opening!

Now, the Psybeam from Gallade or Fire Punch from Gardevoir may not do much damage. But it'd perhaps allow u, in the long run, some victories

Sayori

Castform: While her main game one would use Rain Dance, this one would use Sunny Day!

Blissey: same reason

Snorlax: same reason

Mothim: Represents how instead of keeping the depression inside, she confided in Monika, letting it fly free. Plus it's male, all Mothim are male, which represents how she references the MC early on.

Klefki: A Pokémon to represent her liking of making little crafts and things.

Togekiss: same reason

Natsuki

Clefable: To represent her love for manga! Yes... I'm referencing that cursed early edition of the Pokémon manga that was apparently... quite Mature. But then again, Natsuki does have a bit of Mature manga as well... Sayori does ask about a cover in the side stories....

Dachsbun: same reason

Bewear: same reason

Sylveon: NOT because it's pink and cute, or for any tsundere reason! In Scarlet/Violet, it's the ace of Penny, who fights against bullies. And Natsuki learns to ditch her bullying "friends."

Espeon: To symbolize her friendship with Yuri. Espeon and Umbreon are an established pair.

Alcremie: same reason

Yuri

Gothitelle: Gothita, the earliest stage, fixates on things others don't see. Kinda like how Yuri is hyperfixated on her books, how she loves them so. And how others didn't really see why and teased her for it....

Chandelure: same reason

Lilligant: Yuri mentions she likes nature, so a Grass type! Plus, "yuri" apparently means "lily," and Lilligant is a lily.

Sinistcha: Another tea Pokémon, but this is Grass/Ghost, not just Ghost. Grass to symbolize the nature, and cuz she's more full of life in the aide stories—all the girls are, really.

Umbreon: To symbolize her friendship with Natsuki. Espeon and Umbreon are an established pair. Plus, umber is apparently a very dark shade of purple!

Hatterene: same reason

Monika

Indeedee: A helpful Pokémon.

Milotic: A beautiful Pokémon for the popular girl. Plus, it evolves from the ugly Feebas, like how in the main game, Monika is a terrible person, but the side stories help us see the good side of her.

Gardevoir: Green, elegant, and loving as always

Monika didn't get a full team here, mostly cuz I could not figure out what 'Mons to give her. But I feel like this is fine, she wouldn't be as power crazy after all. But if Pokémon ever makes a coffee Pokémon and a piano Pokémon those are INSTANTLY getting added.

And a team for MC!

Golisopod: Represents how he acts nervously around Monika. Golisopod is a very nervous Pokémon, even has Emergency Exit, which makes it switch when it gets to ½ or less HP.

Grimmsnarl: It's a mischievous, but not actually evil, Pokémon. MC teases Natsuki, but isn't truly a jerk to her, he genuinely cares about her.

Audino: He's gentle and listens to Yuri, comforting her through her struggles.

Slowbro: Cuz he's oblivious about Sayori's feelings, both the romantic and depressing. And cuz he's just an idiot, ngl.

Snorlax: Cuz he's just. A lazy, lax, unmotivated, stay-at-home-all-day person at heart.

Gallade: His ace. He's a genuinely good guy. Maybe not perfect, but who is? And Gallade defends those who need defending; I'm positive he'd've fought against Monika to defend the girls if he could've. Plus, like. Confusing lore surrounding his creation, it involving Monika, and Moni's ace is Gardevoir, and Gallade and Gardevoir are part of the same evolution line so they're connected, and yeah

Zoroark: It pretends to b the last in the party. You'll see the significance of this when u see who that is, the next Pokémon...

Togekiss: The Pokémon of happiness! Brings joy everywhere it goes. How is it NOT Sayori's? Plus, it's able to share happiness right? At least Togepi can. And it'd b dumb if Pokémon don't keep abilities they had when a previous evolution (Also i think the Black/White manga confirms this theory?). So it could share joy with Sayori to help her when she's down.

Natsuki

Tinkaton: Both Tinkaton and Natsuki are small, pink, cute, and likely to bash u with a hammer. So. Yeah. Captures the tsundere side of her.

Dachsbun: She likes to bake. It's a dog made of bread. Boom.

Bewear: C'mon. It's cute. But packs a WALLOP. U don't wanna underestimate it. Just like Nat says: "Don't judge a bookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk kk kkk kk k k." Also it captures her Buffsuki side.

Mimikyu: PLAY WITH ME!!!

Araquanid: I kinda lost inspiration... I'd've done a manga-inspired 'Mon, but I have no idea which Pokémon could do that. So I took inspirstion from her poem "Amy Likes Spiders." It's a spider. (Galvantula could also work for this slot i suppose.)

Alcremie: Duh. I mean. Duh. Just. How can this not b on her team? PLUS u can have it b the mint cream with the strawberry candy. And Nat's theme is called Strawberry Pepermint. So ofc this is on her team. It's just gotta b.

Yuri

Linoone: A raccoon. Took inspiration from her poem "The Raccoon."

Chandelure: The reasoning for this one is a tad convoluted, but hear me out. Chandelure is the ace of Shauntal, Ghost user of Unova. Shauntal is an author. And Yuri looooves books. So, Chandelure represents her love of reading.

Ampharos: Did this to represent her poem "Ghost Under the Light." Chandelure may fit better here but like. I already have a different reason for it. So yeah. (Also I was kinda running out of ideas...)

Polteageist: It's tea. Yuri loves tea. C'mon.

Aegislash: U know why... but also, it HAS to b shiny, since Yuri likes collecting rare knives.

Hatterene: A quiet, serene Pokémon that prefers to b alone. So duh. Plus, if Yuri slips into her Act II self somehow, Hatterene could warn her if her obsessiveness is getting too much.

Monika

Rotom: Duh.

Porygon-Z: Another duh. But also, it perfectly tells Monika's story. Porygon is just plain code. Porygon2 is more aware, it can express itself. Porygon-Z has gone berserk.

Metagross: Supercomputer.

Pecharunt: A sinister puppeteer. Just like Moni was.

Mewtwo: Both it and Monika suffered from an existential crisis. So... yeah.

Gardevoir: Green, elegant, and loving. Just like Moni! And Gardevoir is willing to sacrifice its own life to protect its trainer. Monika also did that: she didn't restore herself, AND she deletes her own game in the end.
