Vinland Saga S2: Thorfinn went to war young, so he doesn't know anything about anything. He's like an overgrown child. He doesn't know anything about relationships or life philosophies. He doesn't know where his food comes from or how to make an honest living. He's never thought about the problems faced by ordinary people and how they creatively solve them. He's never done anything he can be proud of. He doesn't know how to appreciate anything worth appreciating in life. And he screams in his sleep. ooh, this comment just made me loveee this scene nd the whole movie a lot more. i already know hiccup nd toothless' concept with BOUNDARIES. i've seen people talk about it, how toothless helped hiccup to set boundaries, uplifting his self-worth by making people apologize to him in the first movie. but this interpretation/analysis just explained more about the "Boundary" surrounding their relationship/friendship. i love this

it's still my favorite httyd1 detail how hiccup made toothless' tailfin using parts from tools that were originally meant to kill dragons. the very things used to fight dragons (sword and shield), he repurposed to help one.
