Dumb phone and other low tech devices

So I'm on week two of my transition to low tech devices, I finally finished setting up my Kyocera flip phone and I use it as my main phone, tho due to some school team projects I still need to use my old smartphone, hopefully once the trimester is over I can fully let go of my old phone.

Also my tamagotchi died, It lived quite a long life and I'm not sure if I want to hatch another egg just yet, we'll have to see.

And following someone's advice I did got a digital camera, a sony cybershot camera I got for 15 bucks, I only need to get a memory card and clean it. Hopefully I can get a good deal on 2 memory cards, one for my nintendo 3ds and another for my camera.

Going the dumb phone route to isolate myself

Lately I've been having a craving for old internet and old media, not only because my social life is a dumpster fire (but yeah almost purely cause of that), but because I want to feel something tactile and real in my hands. So I'll document my journey and hopefully someone will find it helpful, the goal is to upload the raw unfiltered, uncurated images I capture of my life in this moment (no instagram cutesy filter, no high definition camera).

On that note, I got the Kyocera Gratina 4g phone and so far it has been awful. Getting used to the keyboard and the pointer has been extremely difficult, I still have much to learn. The phone has a camera, a very low quality one but it's something. Also installing apps and customizing, although daunting at first it's incredibly easy, so the software aspect is almost complete. I installed only tumblr, spotify, pinterest, aurora store, and via web browser. But I plan to install facebook and messenger too, only because I have a facebook group :p

Also in terms of gaming, the switch 2 console and game prices have definitely depressed me, so I think I'll stick with my Oled Switch and Mod my nintendo 3ds to have free games, I still need to buy an SD card tho.

And fitting with the Japanese theme of my old tech experiment, I bought my first ever tamagotchi, I decided to get the new angelgotchi that just released, I've been taking it everywhere and I even got the secret character! :3

Lastly I plan to get a digital camera, but I haven't decided yet which model to buy, I do own a Instax Fujifilm camera and it's a charm, but the photo cartridges are pricey, sooo maybe I'll get a fujifilm digital camera...? Idk if I find a cute functional camera I'll buy it and update you.
