This is a short happy scene from my catastrophic life. We are a family of 10 trying to survive in northern Gaza. The kitten is well fed because cat food is cheaper than human food and we have to take responsibility for him no matter what. But as for us, we are starving. I haven’t had anything other than one cup of tea since yesterday.

The merchants now dare to sell one kilo of flour for $200. This is insane. Our rent has also risen to $1,300 per month. We are living in extreme conditions and we have a small child with us.

boy today's been a rough one huh. how about some fish people to take the edge off.

i've been poking at the cadogan book here and there (i have been poking at like 3 projects at once. we keep busy) and I Have Added Another Sort Of Tailed Person To The World. they don't figure in a major way into the cadogan book but i mentioned them in the text so i gotta draw them. they are effectively the tailed peoples' equivalent to a mermaid, and are called anything from sea monkeys to sea goblins to little wet bastards. they are actually most closely related to imps and have little in common with mermaids. like imps, they're scavengers and will try to fuck or eat anything they can catch. they're generally considered nuisances by sailors, as they'll climb the sides of ships in search of food or loot. their singing voices are terrible, but they don't know that.
