What's the best way you've found to get back to your routine? 🧶 So I've been doing what I can to get back into the groove of things, especially with my #Patreon & yesterday's #Stashcast (yea this post is late). It's been difficult as so much of my time and energy are taken up by other things during the day. 🧶 But it feels good to "be getting back" to something that resembles what I would like to call "normal". What gets you back into the spirit of creating? 🧶 So I decided to jump back into my #ProjectTime for the evenings over the weekend. Since I'm in between classes this seems as good a time as any yea? 🧶 And while I wish I had gotten into this a lot sooner than I had such that it is...here I am! I haven't done a #Saturdaynightcraftalong with @lisapinenotes in a L-O-N-G while, but since my backstrap loom finally came in... 🦋 I've been arguing with the warping process for far too long for my liking. The tutorial I found seems to obscure a part of it that is vital to threading the heddle properly (odd number of holes and for the life of me I just can't noodle it out. 🦋 So I opted for another method, just measuring out long strands and knotting the beginning end while I afix the other end to something. I even managed to sort out the bandlock (that I got from just looking at it. I'm a fair hand at following a picture visually.) 🦋 While I'm reaching out to the seller to try and sort out my confusion, the holidays and all being what they are means there's going to be some time before I hear back from them likely. Do you have personal project time? 🧶 Yet again it feels like I haven't picked up a project in weeks...and at this point that's likely true. Usually the weekend rolls around and I'm too tired to want to do anything I have to do...much less anything I deem as "extra". 🧶 I made the weekends time for personal projects a while back...and yet that doesn't seem to be what I've been managing. And that's okay, tonight I managed and that's better than nothing! As expected I'll say I'm less than impressed with where I find myself starting for this challenge. I can't say that I'm suprised, I wouldn't call my ability to draw any great talent. In fact most of what I draw is from references. 🎨 However again the point is practice.
